Cottage vacation rentals in Albany

This was hands-down one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve ever rented. Janet’s cottage is a great place to visit in the cool/cold months. There are so many cozy things to enjoy, the hot tub, the soaking tub, the fireplaces. Janet spared nothing - every little detail, like remote control battery tea lights and a massage chair, added to the experience. And located so close to all those great shops and restaurants, but set in a delightfully quiet neighborhood. We can’t wait to return!

My stay at the cottage was such a nice way to ring in my 31st birthday. I booked the house 5 days before our stay due to our initial airbnb reservation falling through the cracks and I am so glad it did in hindsight. This place had everything you could ask for, a hot tub, indoor fireplace, in close proximity to Woodstock, comfy beds + hangout areas. Overall our stay was so peaceful and everything we were looking for. I wouldn't hesitate to book your stay!

We had a great stay. Lots of hikes. Star gazing from the hot tub was fabulous!

House is very cute, very clean we had a great time and will definitely visit in the future. Just a little recommendation about the heat, downstairs will be warm and cozy when door to the bedroom downstairs stays open. We prompt it with a basket. It was very cold when we visited so really nobody's fault just wanted to mention it to other visitors. I'd definitely recommend this place. Thank you Mike :)

lovely for a weekend getaway, exactly as described! the hosts were responsive and helpful. loved the hot tub and how well stocked the Airbnb was for all our needs. the fenced in yard was great for us and our dog!!

This is an absolutely beautiful spot. The house is a gem and located in a gorgeous, tranquil spot. Unfortunately, the hot tub was out of order for our stay. However, Caroline was quick to sort things out and even offered a partial refund on our stay. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Scott is a wonderful host. The house is just down the hill from his house but a large privacy screen was erected to separate the two and create a smaller nook in this open space. I never felt uncomfortable. Hot tub worked great. Interior had all that you could need. Two things to be aware of for your stay: We arrived later than planned on Friday and did not bring basic food stuffs. When we woke Saturday AM wanting a latte we had trouble finding a very quick to reach store. everything is reachable but we forgot it’s VT not my home town. Note also that cell service is nonexistent on AT&T (can’t speak for the other carriers). The WiFi was down and so I walked up and knocked on Scott’s door (unthinkable today!) for some help at 8:30 PM (the nerve of me!) to get in touch. Scott immediately came down to the house to rectify the situation. We had no problems from there. Fun house, great place. So quiet. Wish we had some More time to explore the trails, art and restaurants. Recommend!

Yes, the house is clean, well-equipped, and lovely. Yes, Russell is friendly, informative, and thoughtful. Yes, it’s easy to find, close to activities, and private. But the real YES comes when you’re relaxing in the hot tub at dusk, fairy lights twinkling above, looking out on the beautiful mountainside. We’d do it all again!

We were looking for a nice weekend get-away post holidays to decompress and Kyralesa’s artist studio was just what we needed to have a luxurious experience for a few days. Kyralesa (KC) greeted us right as we pulled up and showed us around. The place is as advertised, beautiful two floor artist studio loft complete with beautiful natural lighting and wonderful views of the surrounding valley. Everything worked perfectly and we had zero issues. KC was very warm and friendly and welcoming and was super nice (even when we accidentally broke a kitchen vase - which we replaced by the way. We even got a special treat of warm pizza as a surprise one evening, which was delicious. She also gave us tons of recommendations for dining and shopping in the surrounding area which was all topped off by a stop at Hudson Brewing Company following by a nice dinner in town for the evening. If we could give more than five stars we would. We are definitely coming back to stay when we pass back that way.

My fiancée and I had a wonderful time at Home Alone. It is a perfect space for a cozy, private getaway with beautiful views no matter where you look. Darius was very accommodating and responsive to our needs and even extended our check out time after a winter storm held us back from checking in on time. It’s no surprise that Home Alone is a favorite destination of everyone who visits and we are looking forward to returning to see its natural beauty in the fall months

A perfect weekend getaway 🤎 Greg and Jackie’s home is absolutely lovely - cozy, clean, and surrounded by such a peaceful atmosphere. It’s the ideal spot to relax and recharge. The hosts were incredibly nice and replied quickly.

Hudson is a great town for finding some fancy meals. Tom had helpful local guides that he had laminated, and as a result we enjoyed a few delightful meals that ended with Crème Brûlée. We took the kayaks out a bit on the creek, the Hudson was a bit too choppy. House has many wonderful modern amenities, the Nest thermostat was super cool. The one thing that I should have expected, but did not, was the duck hunters. There were a lot of gunshots in the area but it is that time of year and it’s a very popular area for hunting. Tom’s place is practically perfect, peaceful and remote but 10 minutes away from a super cool town or beautiful scenery or skiing. Really you can have it all.

We absolutely loved the house—it was perfect for our Thanksgiving weekend with friends. The space was cozy, and the kitchen was fantastic for cooking; it had everything we needed. The backyard was another highlight—spacious and perfect for the dogs to run around. The location couldn’t have been better—a quick 2-minute walk and you’re right in the heart of Woodstock. Our only very minor feedback was with the shower and hot water. It took a while to warm up and wasn’t as hot as we would’ve liked, but given the cold Thanksgiving weather, that’s understandable. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this house. Thank you for hosting us!

We had a great stay at Jeremy’s house. He was very communicative and when we arrived we saw the fridge nicely stocked along with there being plenty of snacks which was a really nice touch. The view is really pretty of the pond and the bed was really comfy. The house is located about 30 mins from Stratton which was great for what we were there for. The house is also located close to a variety of shops and restaurants.

We look forward to our long weekend stay at Heidi's cottage every fall! From cozy indoor reading sessions, to beautiful outdoor hikes, to delicious meals and eclectic shops in Woodstock and Saugerties, the cottage is simply perfect for a getaway to the Catskills.

My friends and I had a great time at Stephen’s place. Stephen responded to any inquiries we had almost instantaneously and plowed the driveway for us in the morning when it snowed. The house was very cozy but it did get a bit cold in some of the rooms at night even with the thermostat increased but the weather outside was also unnaturally cold in the days we stayed so it wasn’t that huge of an issue. We also had a bit of an issue with ants in one of the rooms but getting rid of them wasn’t that hard. Otherwise, we had a fantastic stay and would love to come back in the summer to get use out of the pool and beautiful backyard!!

My girlfriends and I chose to come up for a girls weekend. This place was so peaceful and relaxing. There was nothing better than starting our morning on the deck with a coffee and good book. We fortunately had the best weather and spent most of our time on the lake with the provided paddle boards and kayaks. When we came back to the cabin it was so well stocked it was easy to prepare food, and the host was so proactive we knew where to find everything. We had the most beautiful weekend!

The views of the lake and fall foliage during our stay were breathtaking! The full moon rising over the lake was stunning too. The deck and living areas all offered amazing light and views. The kitchen was great and we ate most meals there but also enjoyed Zucchini and Proprietors Lodge restaurants nearby. Location was ideal for day trips north and south to Mt Greylock, N Adams, Lenox, and Great Barrington. It was a wonderful stay for us and we’d love to return.

Highly recommend! We came to visit our daughters at Skidmore; perfect location! The cottage is beautiful and perfect for my wife and I, Kim and Ray were wonderful, friendly hosts!

The house was absolutely perfect and was exactly as advertised. Catherine did an amazing job with all the personal touches to the house that made us feel right at home and was super responsive. We would definitely rent her place again. Thank you!!!

This place was such a gem. The furnishings inside were so arty and tasteful, and felt like an incredibly cozy cabin. The kitchen and fridge were well stocked with supplies and utensils, and the renovated interiors especially the bathroom were highly appreciated.

Megan’s place was perfect for our trip back to upstate. We left the air bnb wishing we could just live there as it was perfect for our family. We will definitely look to stay here again in the future

We had a great stay. This place is comfortable, attractively furnished, conveniently located, and as described/advertised with a super easy check in and check out (thankfully lacking burdensome check out instructions/requirements). We would definitely stay here again.
