Our group had an amazing stay at Francois & Ann's impressive property. The living area in their gorgeous cottage had large windows that framed the lake like a painting. All of their furniture was chic and comfortable. We were supplied everything we needed (and everything we didn't think we needed) for an excellent weekend outing. As hosts, they were very responsive and helpful with their recommendations for the area. Thank you very much for welcoming us into your home!

My stay was a warm welcome to Albany. On the plane flight over, the C.O.O. at my new job (my reason for coming to Albany) passed away and my job was uncertain. I was stressed and I needed a comfortable, welcoming environment to take the edge off. I immediatly felt at home. The facilities were warm, clean, and just plain cool. David and his dog were fast friends, and friends are needed in uncertain times. I found a good coffee shop (Uncommon Grounds) and several good food places were within walking distance. Authentic NY pizza places, a great indian restaurant, and Dave's Hot Chicken (the best!) iare all close by. Colonie is way cooler than I thought it would be, but Downtown Albany isn't far. Lark street, a good place for nightlife isn't far either. A mall is near by... all in all very convenient. I couldn't be happier with my experience. The value enjoyed for the price is incredible. David is all about decency and sn't looking to squeeze people for profit. See for yourself!

Our stay was amazing. Peaceful and secluded just like we were hoping for as a getaway from the city for us and our pup! Christine was friendly and ready to help if we needed. Our dog loved splashing in the river and the secluded nature of our cabin. Kayaking was a lot of fun and Christine had good recommendations for walking trails and food in the area. We went during her quiet season so it was pretty much just us and it was exactly what we were looking for, can’t wait to return next year.

My husband and I had an AMAZING stay at Francois & Ann’s. They communicated from the beginning, and answered questions quickly. We had a great time at the lake; kayaking, fishing, and roasting s’mores at their fire pit! Their shed was equipped with everything we needed. We also enjoyed local hikes around the area. Then we loved coming back after a cold day to the heater, shower-head, and well-stocked kitchen. Would definitely stay again.

Literally perfect for a weekend getaway from the city! Spacious studio with all necessary amenities and great bathroom and kitchen! Perfect for the fall, close to lots of outdoor stuff to do. We drove to Mt. Greylock and cooked breakfast every day! Didn’t get a chance to try out the fire pit or the lake because of weather but was looking forward to it! Would definitely recommend!

Wow this is a gorgeous location. Kayaked on the river, went to the nature preserve, and that was before we left the house. It is just a stunningly beautiful area. The cabin has a rustic camp vibe (wood walls and ceilings etc) but inside everything was top notch. Beds were shockingly comfortable vs. some other spots we have stayed. It did take us a minute to figure out how the shower worked, but that was nothing at all compared to our overall experience. Thank you!

Cozy cabin on the lake with a hot tub and arcade games.. wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy all it has to offer!

Absolutely perfect. Don't pass up the opportunity to stay at this cabin! She describes it well, beautiful view, private, stunning view. Towpath landing is so cool and Christine has a vision. I was a victim of Hurricane Helene, Christine had such a heard and genuinely cared for me, giving me a place to stay and heal, recover. Highly recommend staying here, supporting the property and it's heart. Not like other places in all the best ways. You'll feel at home, cozy, welcome, relaxed the whole time. The sun room was just the best for sipping coffee and watched leaves fall. Thanks so much for an incredible stay! Can't wait to come back and tell others to visit!
