Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Akita

Absolutely wonderful home and hosts! The place was gorgeous and in a great location to explore the town. The hosts, Nori and Chieko, welcomed us as family and made such delicious dinner and breakfast meals. This is definitely THE place to stay at in the area.

The most helpful thing was that they picked us up and dropped us off at the nearest Nitsui station. There is no doubt that it will be a meaningful time to hear a lot of stories.

despite having a language barrier with us, haru-san's efforts in communicating and translating her japanese words to english so that we would have a seamless understanding of each other was very much appreciated. her house was very lovely and clean. she keeps the house warm by placing firewood into her furnace every morning and in the evenings too. she's got two lovely cats; one a little more friendlier and bolder than the other; adding a little touch of cuteness in her already pretty and cute home. haru-san is big in recycling and she's meticulous with it, teaching us how to clean and sort items and materials that are to be recycled. amenities were all provided before and all that we needed were available. beds were comfortable and the blanket were thick and soft for us to be well rested at night. we loved how she would make us nice black coffee in the mornings before we leave to our itineraries; she made it feel super homey the whole trip.

Private bedroom in a hostel-like home. Cozy and warm, with a hot spring-fed tub in the lower level. I enjoyed three FABULOUS dinners specially made to suit my dietary needs…thank you!! I took the public transportation bus each day into Nyuto Village Hot Springs area. Also, the onsen Mizusawa is totally worth the 15-minute walk. Best way to navigate is plug in “Hotel Radish House” in Google maps. Nice family. I hope to return again.

It was an easy and comfortable stay while retaining the atmosphere of the authentic old house at that time.The host's guidance was also polite, and I would like to use it again when I come to Akita.

We enjoyed ourselves with all the Oriyamake had to offer. Hideyuki-San was a very gracious host and creatively curated the entire experience for us. It was very enriching, having fun and learning about Matagi culture.

Thanks to you, I had a very nice time.I enjoyed interacting with the charming staff and other guests!I also had a meal at night and in the morning, but the food using koji and miso was very delicious and full of mind and body.Thank you!

It was a really good and relaxing stay, the place is really authentic and peaceful and Akio is a great host, always responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend
