Perfect and peaceful in a bush location, with views of the sea. Hot tub very relaxing at days end watching the sunset! Just what we needed two tranquil days in well appointed accommodation, like we were so far away, but only a few minutes drive to all local coastal beaches, and facilities in the area. Beautiful location in a private setting, thanks Grant!

We had a really nice stay. Lisa was very responsive and helped out whenever required.

What Julie's listing shares is wonderful and spot on. What she doesn't share is the amazing level of hospitality she provides. I won't list everything as that would spoil the surprise but it blew us away how generous she was... that, as well as wonderful gallery with some beautiful jewellery and artworks and an amazing bric-a-brac shop...both located at the other end of town. Another cool thing is that it is located central to all the Barossa Valley has to offer...and that is an awful lot. Thanks Julie... we'll be back.

Absolutely perfect place to stay in the heart of McLaren Vale. Right by the Shiraz Trail bike path. 10 minutes walk in to town for shops and restaurants. Beautiful sunset view over the vines.

our stay was great. it was a beautiful property and quiet location. we are able to follow the walking track easily and enjoy nature. The outlook through the trees was beautiful and lovely to wake up to. Nel was quick to respond to any questions we had.

we had a lovely stay. Tania and Cameron were great hosts and were very accommodating. the cabin has everything you need for a relaxing stay. we loved the cabin location, very peaceful and secluded with a great view. Great 4WD tracks that cater for all levels and had a lot of fun. Will be back to camp with kids near the river - campsites look great and spacious.

We had the most amazing stay at The Red Shed, or as we have now lovingly refer to it as, Donkey Manor! Sarah is a fabulous host and we felt welcome and at home from the get go! But, the real stars of our stay (sorry Sarah) were all the beautiful animals, and our most absolute favourite guy, Murphy! If you are looking for Hilton style accommodation, keep looking, this place isn't for you. If you are looking for a heartwarming and fun filled experience however, you will find absolutely everything you need for a very comfortable and memorable stay at The Red Shed. This place is so much more than a lifeless hotel, it has heart and we didn't want to leave. Location was perfect for exploring Hahndorf and the surrounding Adelaide Hills region. Do yourself and your inner child a favour, book The Red Shed, AKA Donkey Manor now! And give Murphy a hug (and a sneaky carrot) for us xx

My partner and myself stayed at The House on Soul Hill for our 6 year anniversary - and safe to say we absolutely fell in love with it! the property itself is beautiful with touches of curated local art and produce (our breakfast box was delightful!) as well as having a simply breathtaking view of the fields of Lobethal. The entire place felt inviting, calming and peaceful and we had everything we needed and more - some personal highlights being the record player (the Beatles were on repeat!) the selection of local organic teas, and the most comfortable bed. Luke and Aylwen were super responsive, friendly, and gave us some great recommendations for local restaurants and businesses - they even gave us free coffee vouchers to use at their local cafe Emma and Ivy (a must visit - the coffee is incredible) which was unbelievably kind of them 🥰 This is a must visit - we will definitely be returning and I strongly encourage everyone to experience a weekend at The House on Soul Hill 🫶🏻

Loved our stay! Very impressed by the attention to detail. Everything has been thought of and generously provided. We had some hot water and plumbing issues on our first night and Denise and John were very responsive and got it sorted straight away. Would definitely recommend!

Had a great stay in den #4, love the place, the attention to details and how sparking clean it was. Comfy bed, amazing views, forest sounds, so peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful scenery, perfect for a weekend getaway in nature away from the busy city lifestyle. Nel was super friendly, very responsive, easy to communicate with. Didn’t get the chance to use the fire pit because of fire ban but that would be an incredible bonus in winter/autumn!
