Seaside Fishing Retreat in Peaceful Village

JohnRating, 5 stars9 months ago
This was a wonderful house. I drove down from NYC with my two kids (ages 6 and 8) to spend a week on the Eastern Shore. My parents drove down and met us at the house and the five of us spent the week visiting the shore (Cape Charles and Kiptopeake), cooking food in the house kitchen and working puzzles on the kitchen table. The house is designed with classic eastern shore lines and the big luffing ceiling fans kept the place cool despite 90+ degree temps outside. We used the AC in the bedrooms at night but that was it. This is a quiet neighborhood, about a 20 minute drive from Onancock and 20 minutes (in the opposite direction) from Cape Charles. My kids enjoyed the yard and the neighbors were affable and quiet. This is an excellent choice for a peaceful, quiet week away from a noisy city.
A white rocking chair is positioned on a wooden deck, bathed in natural light from the nearby windows. The exterior features gray siding, while the view includes green grass and distant trees under a clear blue sky.

Family Oasis Handicap accessible Dog Friendly

KaitlynRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Chelsey's place was perfect for my family's stay! We had two small dogs, 6 adults and a tween and there were plenty of beds and space. The backyard was large and fully fenced, so we could let our dogs run free without fear of breaking out. The internet worked for several adults working from the same location during the week, and there were plenty of TVs for people to spread out and watch when needed (we had rain, so was good to be able to get space). The outdoor shower was a hit after the beach. One note is that the twin beds downstairs are bunk beds, which only matters if you have someone with a mobility disability (we had a member with a cane) but since there were plenty of beds this worked out. There is also a handicap accessible shower downstairs which was a very nice touch. Chelsey was also very responsive before the trip answering questions, and was gracious in allowing a last minute early check-in to get set up before everyone arrived. We recommend staying here!

Seahorse House - Huge Yard for Picnics/Fires/More!

KathiRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Overall, this was a great experience, there were three bedrooms for three generations. The kitchen and living room were comfortable. My grandson was a little put out that one of the mattresses was actually on the floor, but that was in the picture, so he had to put up with it, and he was fine. Like I said, it was comfortable and clean, just what we needed, with space to be apart.

Marshall’s Retreat Chesapeake small town getaway

WillettaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I am originally from the area and I come here occasionally. I usually stay about 45 minutes from Crisfield. This Home had everything that we needed. I always bring a special bag with cleaning supplies, toiletries, hand soap, etc. But this place has it all. I love the wall decorations and am going to use some of those for ideas for our home. Thank you for the use of your home. It was very affordable. We will definitely book again.

Hopkin's House, Chincoteague Beach Vacations

DeborahRating, 5 stars3 months ago
For the third time, we had a wonderful stay at this historical home. I spent most of my time on the porch enjoying the sunshine and the marsh with the lighthouse. I love sleeping and being able to see the sunrise right from the bedroom window. The house is well equipped and when we needed help there was swift response. I always enjoy going out back to see the chickens, goats, and geese. I’m really feeling this place is my home away from home.

Black Skimmer is a fabulous Pet-Friendly Vacation

KimberlyRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We absolutely LOVED this cute little house! We love older houses already and this one had so much character and was so cozy and quaint. Gorgeous unique features such as the custom counters and built ins, it was the perfect space for us. The pool was a HUGE plus! And we had no idea you could see so much of Assateague including the lighthouse! The yard was fully fenced which was super helpful having brought our pup along. Also, there’s a spectacular garden in the property that you can’t see in the pics. 10/10 recommend and will stay in again!

Hidden Gem! Relax & Visit Chincoteague Island

KatelynRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Cabin was great - clean and what we expected! The neighborhood campground had a lot of properties closely packed together, but we didn't have any concerns with neighbors being loud. Not much to do in Horntown, but it was a close enough drive to Chincoteague! Overall, it was a great stay for 2 nights!

Salty Paws - A Captain's Cove Vacation Home

HolgerRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Very enjoyable stay! The place is spacious, clean, well equipped, updated, and overall desirable. The neighborhood is quiet, walkable, and safe and the setting is lovely. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We had particularly enjoyed the two kayaks (water access close by but check with the neighbor first as the launch site is his). Our Shiba loved the place as well as we were happy for the opportunity to bring her. After all, this was a rehab vac for her as she was recovering from a surgery ;-) But be aware that this is a residential neighborhood which means that things like ocean beach or places with a choice of restaurants are a drive away. Highly recommended.

Thelma's Dawn Getaway. No Drama Zone

AlexRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Rick and Christi's Airbnb. The location is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful getaway, with direct access to the beautiful sandy beaches of Chesapeake Bay. Whether you’re into water activities, fishing, or just taking quiet walks around the serene neighborhood, this place has it all. One thing to note is that this spot is not for those seeking nearby restaurants or bars because there aren’t any in the vicinity—and that’s exactly what makes it so special. It’s a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Our family, including my wife and 14-year-old child, thoroughly enjoyed our time here. But what truly sets this place apart is the warm and friendly hospitality from Christi. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. A lovely touch was the fresh jalapeño pepper she gave us, which we’re still using in our meals. Thank you, Christi and Rick, for making our vacation memorable.
A cozy bungalow is framed by lush greenery, featuring a path leading to the entrance. In the front yard, a small round table and two red chairs are set on a stone patio, surrounded by grass and shaded by trees.

Cozy shore bungalow

VictoriaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Rachel was such a gracious host and went above and beyond to make us feel right at home. Whenever we had a question, she always responded quickly and was warm and receptive. While she made sure the home had all the essentials (cookware, dishes, utensils, linens, towels, blow dryer, games, etc) she went the extra mile to stock doggie items too - clean up baggies, extra leashes, a doggy bin full of toys and other care items. Rachel even left a “welcome package” with dog treats, wine, and other goodies for us for when we arrived. We were blown away by the level of care she put into the details. This home was the perfect fit for us. It was the right amount of space for two people AND the large fenced in yard was pure heaven for our dog. We spent many mornings and afternoons on the screened in porch drinking coffee or just enjoying the weather with the windows open. Everything out here is quiet and peaceful; just the right place to slow down and decompress.
A spacious waterfront house is depicted, surrounded by water on three sides. A wooden dock extends into the water, leading to a flat, grassy area in front of the home, which features a light-colored exterior and red roof accents.

Cottage w Private Creek, Sunroom, Fire Pit, & WiFi

RebeccaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Tony's is a clean and cute three bedroom complete with linens. The house is as pictured, with three cute bedrooms down one side and a living, dining and kitchen around the front and other side. In the back there is a screened porch looking into the back yard. The backyard abuts a creek, where we saw a turtle and some birds. The yard is not fully fenced for a dog. Even if you brought some fencing to cover the wooden fence the dog would be able to get into the creek and then the neighbors yard. The backyard does have a large propane tank in the middle. There is a nice sun porch on the front, looking onto the main road. The speed limit is 25 and we were able to safely ride bikes into town. Its a 10 minute bike ride into town for groceries, shopping and restaurants. Its 6 miles to the beach, so it would be a long ride. We really enjoyed our stay in April. We saw ponies, went on a boat tour (Up the Bay), enjoyed the beach, arcade and many restaurants and shops
