My family and friends have a fantastic stay at this place! The space was clean, comfortable, especially the fireplace，makes the whole house warm and dry in the winter. The host was very responsive and made sure everything was perfect. Highly recommended!

Very large space for 4 of us. The fifth room is located at the entrance. Nice and comfy beds and linens. Has everything we needed. It was a very warm day when we arrived, so it would be better if there were a couples of portable fans (or heaters if the weather is cold) . Curtains were a bit hard to "operate". Asides of that, all good ! Thank you.

Great place for our family Christmas. Local to the grandparents which were able to join us all for Christmas Day festivities from the retirement village. Was great to have everyone together

The cottage was perfect! We came for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships and the location was great to be able to walk to transition, the finish, the lake, a grocery store, shopping and restaurants. The space was comfortable for 4 people and the kitchen was stocked with everything and more than you would need to prep and cook a meal. Caroline added very special amenities like a quick reference book for the house and lots of fruit for our stay. Caroline was exceptional in her communication. I highly recommend this cottage.

Lovely space, close to local attractions (hot pools, botanical gardens etc) only a few minutes drive into the CDB. Lauren provided local recommendations and clear instructions for check in/out. Wouldn’t hesitate to book at this lovely home again in the future.

Alistair and Anita were super hospitable, came and showed us how to use the pizza oven when we asked. Great communication from them! The place was great, had everything we needed and was very comfortable for us.

We had a great stay in Taupo. The apartment was just like it appeared in the photos and was well equipped with everything we needed. It was nice and warm with the underfloor heating. We would happily stay here again if back in Taupo - thanks!

Lovely location overlooking Lake Taupo and into the sunset. Spacious deck to relax, eat and enjoy the view. Helpful responsive host. Very clean and well equipped living areas. Lovely Millennium Hotel restaurant right across the street. Great location for a relaxing break.

Paul is an amazing host, so friendly. He allowed us to leave our luggage at the property on checking out as we were waiting for our campervan to be fixed at the garage. Riverside Base is a perfect location for exploring Taupō and the surrounding area. It is spotlessly clean and a brilliant find. I would highly recommend this as the perfect place to stay in Taupō.

Great place to stay. Well we’ll thought out property and comfortably accommodated our group of 8. Has absolutely everything you need. Great quality linens and towels etc and the whole place felt fresh and clean. Team was great to deal with through the booking process

We stayed at Centennial house for a 40th Birthday Family celebration and I couldn't recommend this place highly enough! There is so much space with beautiful bedroom suites and outdoor areas. A lovely outdoor patio where the kids enjoyed playing and riding their bikes and finding the friendly sheep and cow. The house was immaculately clean, the kitchen is fabulous with heaps of space and all the cooking equipment you could ever need available. Plenty of dining table space, with a covered outdoor conservatory with a gas heater which we enjoyed a family dinner at one night. John and Caroline are incredible hosts, very responsive with messages both prior to and during our stay. John also smoked a trout for us on arrival which was delicious! We all had a lovely stay and cannot thank John and Caroline enough for making the weekend so stress-free.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Such a large beautiful house in a great location, with stunning views of the lake, heaps of parking and Tara made us feel right at home. Sylvie’s house is simply spectacular - from the amazing view to the well furnished and designed house with full kitchen facilities - and it gave our vacation a relaxed but luxurious beach vibe. The property is well located being situated in a gated community with easy access to walking trails and to the water. I highly recommend this place for families looking for comfortable lodgings near lake Taupo.
