Family-friendly vacation rentals in Abitibi-Témiscamingue

A charming, warm and peaceful place. Perfect for a moment in the company of the ones you love. We took advantage of the colors of autumn as a family and could not have found a better place to stay in the area. The host is thoughtful and very responsive. We had a slight power outage that lasted less than 30 minutes and in a few minutes someone came to give us a gallon of drinking water and assist us if needed. Unheard of!! I would highly recommend!!! 5/5 👌

The beautiful Chalet Lac Simon is righ on the water with views from all levels and the hottub. Plenty of comfortable sleeping space and very well set up for families and those wishing to cook & eat in. If ever we're coming through that area again, I will definitely be contacting Mathieu!!!

Cecilia and Mabel were wonderful hosts. The property is as described and has a lot of activities. We wanted a few extra adult life jackets for kayaking and she helped arrange it the same day. A ton of board games, outdoor activities for all age groups. Loved our stay!

Perfect space for a cottage getaway! Doug is a very helpful, organized, responsive host. This cottage is extremely well stocked with necessities and is decorated with cozy personal touches that make it feel like home. All rooms and the hot tub were extremely clean and comfortable. The cottage is exactly as advertised and getting in and out was a breeze. I really enjoyed my time here and would highly recommend it!

The place is great. About 20-25 minutes from New Liskeard, which has everything you need, including great restaurant, 28 on the Lake. The view from the cottage/veranda is beautiful. Cottage has its own boat ramp, which worked well for us. The hot tub was amazing, we really used it a lot. The sauna also worked well. Cottage was clean and everything worked. And, finally, Katrin was extremely fast with her responses and her answers were always helpful.

Incredible place, in great location…lake, nature, plenty of activities. Host very easy to communicate with and very friendly. I would book again!

Al and Claudine were friendly, approachable, and professional right from the moment we arrived. I would highly recommend Commanda Lake Resort to anyone looking to get away from it all.

We had a wonderful week at Domaine and Jasmin's vacation house. It was comfortable, had everything we needed, and we felt very welcome. We enjoyed walks to the lake and watching the sunsets, the stars at night, and the local birds. Nearby there was some very nice hiking and we also enjoyed Rouyn-Noranda and what the area had to offer. I would return again and the biggest problem was that the week went by too quickly! :)

Great spot, beautiful cottage in a beautiful area. No complaints, would book again. Booking was a little confusing as it ran through the company and airbnb. But it makes sense as the cottage is apart of a larger family business. Very helpful staff and extremely accommodating.

We loved our long weekend girls trip! Stunning location, easy to find, lots of parking. The house wash much bigger than expected, with comfy beds and a warm gas fire. The kitchen was very well stocked and the bathroom products were much appreciated. I highly recommended this listing.

Great stay with kids close to good beaches. Heather was very responsive. Would stay again.

Very nice place

Jess and Mike’s place on Bear Island is the perfect place for a family get-away! We had a lovely week by the water and spent our days canoeing, paddle boarding, doing yoga on the dock, and hiking the nearby old growth forest trails in Temagami! On the rainy days we curled up and watched a movie in comfort. The cottage was clean and cozy and it was a bonus to have clean sheets, towels and a full cupboard in case we forgot anything! Thanks so much, Jess and Mike for sharing your piece of paradise! We hope to be back next summer!

Had a wonderful weekend in beautiful Port Loring at Hilltop Cottage. It was our first time, and everything was just as pictured in the photos. Clean and very cozy place with lots to do and plenty of space for all of us. We enjoyed the huge deck, fire pit and short walk to the beach. Host was extremely responsive and helpful answering any questions we had. Would definitely visit again.

We had a wonderful experience and would rent again without hesitation. Great communication and the property is even better than as described. It is very well equipped both inside the cottage and the bunkie, and outdoors. We particularly liked using the barge and the kayaks, and the ducks that swam up to us every few hours. It was a very peaceful experience with beautiful views and was made even more special with great interaction with the hosts. Thank you so much Alayna and family.

It was a great place to stay very friendly host and beautiful spot to stay I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice place with good people around there is lots to do go fishing have fires go out on the lake best place I’ve been to yet

I have stayed at some nice Airbnb over the years, but this one tops them all. Rosemary‘s Cottage is truly special location, wise and the Cottage itself. Rosemary and Mike could not have been more accommodating hosts. We felt right at home and cared for. I am really hoping to come back for another stay. Do yourself a favor. If you want a relaxing getaway in the most beautiful setting with great fishing and about to explore with, book Rosemary‘s cottage. I can’t thank Mike and Rosemary enough for providing an incredible experience!!

This place is for fishing, camping or chalet lovers, the lake is green as in the south, very beautiful lake and very large to visit by boat

Great spot to stay if you snowmobile. Had 4 vehicles, 3 with trailers. A tight fit. The neighbours met us when we arrived. I don’t think I communicated how many vehicles we would be in.. My bad. Showed us where we could park, a few other tips like where the firewood was for the wood stove (we are rural people well versed in wood stoves) was and we were good to go for the week. Lots of warmth without the wood stove, just us rural people like the heat it gives. The fellow spoke English well, ‘cause my French is still not where I would like it. All great. I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

We spent a week in the accommodation in France and we enjoyed our stay. We were there for work so we didn't have much time to visit but we loved the place! The place was super clean and France was attentive to our needs. Anyway! A small place that I recommend!

Was a great stay! We loved our little cabin, my fiancé and I we’re lookingfor something with old school cottage vibes and that’s exactly what we got here 😌 the property is absolutely gorgeous, and the staff are super friendly and helpful! Was great for us and our kids! Will definitely be back soon!
