Such a beautiful home and a wonderful place for a family weekend retreat to Lake Jackson State Park and participate in the Fonta Flora 50K. The home is so cozy, and enjoyable. Space to gather together and also retreat away to relax and read a book or nap. The deck and dock space are amazing!!! Hosts were so friendly and welcoming. We are already planning our next visit to their home.

We absolutely loved staying at Joe and Megan's. The place was perfect for the getaway that we were hoping for. We spent time on the deck, dock, and used the kayak. It was quiet, secluded and beautiful! The kitchen had everything we needed. We never got around to using the grill, but if we get a chance to stay again, we definitely will. Overall well done property! We would love to stay again.

Sixteen members of our family met to spend Easter weekend together. The house was beautiful and we loved the flat lot so we could set up plenty of games. We used the fire pit every night, the dock with all of the lounge chairs was so relaxing, several folks loved fishing from the dock, we used the kayak every day, lots of seating areas to get away and read a book and the kitchen photos on the inside of each cabinet door was invaluable. We would definately come back to 3 Peaks!

I really can't express how perfect this place was for us! I booked it for Thanksgiving to get our scattered family together. The house is amazing with two living room spaces, two dining spaces and plenty of bedrooms for all of us. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed a little fishing and kayaking. The large dining room made it possible to seat everyone at one table for Thanksgiving dinner. One of the neighbors even saved Thanksgiving by sharing the forgotten spices for pumpkin pie!There is a strong possibility that we will be back next year to do it all again. Thank you Jodi, for a wonderful experience!!

Great stay. Very clean, well equipped, amenities were as advertised and well maintained. House was in great location - very near restaurants, stores, and lake norman park (great hiking trails). Communication with host and co-host was very responsive. The game room was a hit! Adults, kids, and grandkids all played pool, air hockey, and foosball. Grandkids loved the paddleboards. And the hot tub was very nice for unwinding. For Thanksgiving dinner - having 2 refrigerators and ovens for meal prep was a lifesaver! Only feedback I have is it would be nice if the game room was heated. And the fenced back yard was not as large as we expected (as it looked in the picture) but it worked out ok for the 2 dogs. All in all a great time had by all - including the dogs - and it was a great Thanksgiving! Would recommend staying here!

This was our family’s second visit to Jennifer’s Lake Gaston house for Thanksgiving and we so enjoyed our time there! The house is spacious with a beautiful and quiet location on the lake. It’s so generous of the host to allow use of the kayaks and canoe, which makes this place truly extra special. The dock and other outdoor spaces are also lovely and the area is great for taking long walks. Check-in and check-out were a breeze and Jennifer is an extremely responsive host.

The place was great over looking the lake. The house was beautiful. The host was very responsive. We will definitely go back soon.

We stayed at Carson’s lake home for the last two months while we were transitioning to a new home.. His house was the perfect size for me, my husband and our two fur babies. The house had everything we needed for our longer stay - the bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and the daybed in the sunroom was a favorite reading spot of mine too. The views of the lake are so serene and beautiful and the fishing from the dock was great! The doggos loved running and playing in the yard too. Carson was a great host and was always available for anything we needed. Janice, the property manager, was fantastic as well. I would definitely recommend “No Obligations” to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway to High Rock Lake. Thank you Carson!

This place was perfect for us and our dogs—one of our favorite trips for sure. It had everything we needed in a clean and comfortable package. Basic, convenient, cozy, comfortable, and the best location for us. We want to cancel all of our other trips this year and just come back to Black Mountain and stay at Sean’s. While we have very well behaved dogs and have never had any issues with them staying anywhere, we always get a little nervous that they might mess something up, but Sean’s place is absolutely dog proof and we felt right at home. Our dogs loved it too. Don’t hesitate to book, but also we hope it’s available next time we come to Black Mountain. 😀

Docktails is where it's at. This amazing dockside retreat is indeed ten steps from the water and affords you every amenity needed to enjoy a fantastic time on or just at the water. We spent a few days on Lake Waccamaw and appreciated what Lake Life had to offer at Docktails. We were greeted by a stocked kitchen, well-appointed features throughout the home, and a community sharing-type approach to hospitality throughout the property. Hosts Lisa and Terra were very responsive to our needs and ensured our stay was pleasant. We will definitely be bringing out tails back to Ducktails next time we visit sweet Lake Waccamaw!!!

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at Brenda's place and I love it there❤️Every detail is thought out. We would have loved to stay longer. Brenda is very thoughtful and a great communicator The big fireplace is so welcome with these cool nights !!

The location was very pretty and serene. The devastation from the floods of September 2024 was still very evident at the local beach. Many of the local businesses were not open and as we learned from several local people that they most likely will not be until 2026. Since our group was content to visit at our house.

The house was beautiful with a view of the lake. I enjoyed coffee on the outdoor patio or in front of the various fires. We also enjoyed hiking the community trails as a family. My advice would be to pack everything, the kitchen did not have any supplies (ie garbage bags or olive oil). Worth every penny for the house and would love to go back in the summer. Oh and don't waste your time going to Marion, there's nothing in that town. Enjoy the outdoors instead :)

What a peaceful and beautiful home! Andrew was very responsive and helpful. Home is quiet, comfortable, and was very well stocked. I could tell Andrew put a lot of thought into accommodating guests. We loved spending time at the dock and can’t wait to come back when it’s warmer. Highly recommend!

Our family has been coming to Bear Paw for the last 20 years for our family reunion. This was our first time in this cabin, and it didn't disappoint. Plenty of space, and our children truly enjoyed the game room and well stocked board games. We ended up meeting the neighbors when enjoying the lake and they were so wonderful as well.

The house was exactly as advertised. Incredibly clean and well stocked. Easy to get in and even smelled great. The kitchen was equipped with EVERY utensil we possibly needed. We were only able to use the paddle boards on our last day due to weather but they were great when we did. Also enjoyed a campfire and saw a million stars on clear nights. Overall we loved the place and felt right at home.

I will definitely be staying at this house if we come up here again, very comfortable, clean, peaceful. Every morning we had deer in the yard. Such a great place!

Wonderful homes that allowed us to celebrate Christmas together. We want to come back in the summer.

We were in town for a wedding and I did lots of searching on this platform to find the best space for my family when I came across this listing. I am very glad I chose this property. First off the photos don’t do the space justice. It’s much larger in person. We felt at home immediately. Communication with the host was amazing and answered any questions I had prior to arriving. Response time was fast as well. The house was spotless and well appointed. We cooked breakfast daily. The yard space is large and great for kids to play. Kayaks and SUP boards are in the shed as well as beach chairs. The porch is amazing to sit anytime of day and the little private pier is beautiful. I wish we had longer to enjoy this space. Thank you for opening your home to my family and allowing us to make countless memories we will never forget.

The place was great to have a slow weekend..we found it a great escape and the location was amazing..we spent all day hanging out on the dock and looking at the boats zip through…beautiful sunrise on the day last day..will defenitely be coming back

The home was very comfortable, clean, and beautifully updated. The large screened in porch allowed us to enjoy a lovely view in a quiet location of the lake. Landscaping and dock area were attractive and provided lots of fun. It was obvious the owners took great pride in providing thoughtful amenities for their guests to have an enjoyable experience. The only thing that didn’t work for us was taking our boat out of the water there on the property. The gravel driveway made it too difficult to get the traction needed to pull trailered boat up steep incline. The alternative was to drive approximately 10 minutes to Buddle Creek Wildlife Boat Launch to trailer boat upon departure. We enjoyed our stay at this High Rock Lake home and hope to rebook next year.
