You will share this custom duplex with other BnB guests but the top duplex is exclusively yours with private entrance, 20ft vaulted ceilings, large rock gas log fireplace, remodeled kitchen, new appliances, 1 & 1/2 baths, wrap around porch, and large sunroom overlooking the river and mountains. In the huge backyard are two private fire-pits: one on sandy area on the river bank and the other to the right of the house looking up river. Riverside duplex enters from back. *No shared inside space.

Centrally located in the foothills of the Blueridge Mountains and easy drives to Asheville 90 minutes, Charlotte 75 minutes, Blowing Rock 40 minutes, 65 minutes to Grandfather Mountain State Park and 80 minutes to Sugar Mountain ski resort. There are numerous hiking trails and waterfalls. Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain offer skiing in the winter and mountain biking in the summer. There is exceptional mountain biking as close as 8 miles from the house. Zip lines and other attractions near by.

Lake Front Retreat & Water Sports

The downstairs apartment is available for AirBnB guests. Our home is on the lake in the Foothills of NC with water sports in our back yard. Great atmosphere, views, lake, and R&R. The apartment includes one bedroom (1 king size bed, 1 queen foam mattress), a living room, an entertainment area with pool table and darts. It also has a full private bath. The apartment steps out onto a private lower deck overlooking the lake. Our place is good for couples, adventurers, business people, and families.

Right on the lake. Enjoy the great sunsets unobstructed. Easy access ramp leading to the entrance door. Enter The living room Kitchen area. Two double sliding doors open to the large screened Porch were you can just relax and don’t forget the sunsets. The bathroom has a large walk in rain head shower The two bedrooms have full size very comfortable mattresses. A full size kitchen and a nice eating area. Two docks for fishing or just relaxing. Year round adventure is waiting just for you.

Relax with the family at this completely updated cottage built in the 1940s. Featuring two bedrooms with plenty of comfy relaxing area. This comfy, cute, and stylish family home is located near Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. Under a 10 minute drive to quaint downtown Hickory with plenty of shopping and historical districts nearby. Stay in and cook a warm meal while relaxing indoors or step out outside and have a seat on the bench under the covered front porch. Listen to the birds singing while flying about in the nearby tree.
