'The Salmon Bothy' Peaceful Studio Close to Beach

Just an 8 minute walk from Shegra Beach, this remote and cosy studio will help you to slow down and unwind. Close to many spectacular walks including the well known Sandwood Bay. A few miles from the village of Kinlochbervie and a great base for exploring the west coast and the NC500. Please be aware, due to us being in a remote and rural location, shops/restaurants and services are minimal and for the same reason the wifi is not the fastest, however it is fine for browsing and messaging.

We have a flat joined onto our home a working croft overlooking Polin beach. Inside is a large bedroom wth ensuite bathroom, then a large open plan kitchen and living area. There is a fully equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, oven and hob, microwave, and a large TV with free view. Wifi is available but is slow. Outside has a private parking space with a table and bench for sitting at. No pets. We are three miles from kinlochbervie village but a five minute walk to Polin beach.

A traditional croft house, lovingly refurbished, with beautiful uninterrupted views over Sangobeg beach (2-3 mins away) and the North Atlantic beyond. Cosy lounge with wood burning stove, 3 bdrms, 2 bthrms. The famous Smoo Cave and closest pub/restaurant are one mile away. Durness village hosts two shops, petrol station, and another pub/restaurant. Balnakeil Craft Village has local artists and businesses including a chocolatier, hairdresser, eatery, art galleries, and more.

Raven Cottage is a charming listed property in the outstanding Scottish highlands. It is in the Hamlet of Oldshoremore which is 2 miles from Kinlochbervie. It is a short 10 minute walk to Oldshoremore beach & is close to the Sandwood Bay carpark. It is ideally located for the North Coast 500. Relax and enjoy the scenery and wildlife at this unique location, secluded amongst scots pine and birch trees with stunning views, close to the NC 500 and also right on the door step of a Corbet and a Munro for hill walking. There is a beautiful walk around the river blackwater just minutes from the cabin with falls and old bridges. Or just cosy up inside and listen to music on Alexa or watch movies on Netflix, or just dine out and relax on the decking with a glass of wine.

A warm welcome, always, awaits you at our family ran apartment. There is a 2 ceramic hob rings with microwave oven, giving you the option to either eat out or have a cosy meal in. Ensuite bathroom, tv, double sofa bed and a single bed. Linen and towels provided. We are dog friendly but due to the small space this is at our discretion but please enquire prior to booking. We accommodate two people maximum with the choice of a sofa bed and/or single bed.
