Nostalgia

A charming 19th century house with a good atmosphere. The property is beautifully situated by the sea overlooking Ålesund and the Sunnmøre Alps. Only 15 mins with a car from Ålesund city and the nearest airport, but is still a place that gives peace of mind. Outside the garden there are cultivated fields with grazing animals in late summer. The island of Giske itself is a gem with a medieval marble church, beaches, untouched nature and birdlife. The island once housed Norway's most powerful noble family, the Arnungs and is mentioned in the Snorre saga.

It is exactly what you can experience in Jølet, the cabin that is special to provide an optimal sense of close proximity to nature. Just metres from the town centre, but very quiet at the end of a narrow road, with amazing fjord and mountain views! Your parking space is in front of our house, and you go down an exterior staircase to your entrance. The entry has a big wardrobe. Next is the modern and fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a shower and washer dryer combo. Down the hallway is a bedroom with a 150x200cm bed and a big closet, and a living room with a sofa bed that pulls out to 140x200cm and a crib. Great and modern apartment perfectly located in the heart of Goksøyr with a private shortcut up to the mountain and the puffins. You can't live any closer to the birds. Small apartment on garage loft.

Our place is close to Ålesund Airport. Ålesund airport. Great nature. Rural and quiet. Still only 20 min drive to the center of Ålesund. My place is good for couples, traveling alone, solo travelers, travelers. Can also be suitable for a small family. (Extra mattresses). It is possible to borrow a small 14-foot boat if desired. Electric parking bike can also be disposed of. We can also be helpful with transportation to/from airport in late afternoon/evening.
