Romantic oasis surrounded by meadows and forests. Beautiful hiking/ cycling trails start right by the house. There is a great covered barbecue with fireplace. The beautiful garden can be enjoyed in many ways. A table tennis table, a kicker and a dartboard are in the double garage and offer fun in any weather. The beautiful antique country house style invites you to relax immediately. The kitchen is well equipped. Outside of the holidays, we can usually arrange the check-in/out individually.

Our accommodation is close to beautiful meadows and hills, ideal for relaxing, hiking, going offline.... You will love our Lydi hut because of its location, because of the little that is more, and the surroundings of our beautiful Vogelsberg. My accommodation is good for couples, single travelers, families (with children) and dogs. The renovated half-timbered house is located on the hamlet of Schmitten. A hamlet is very tiny residential development with about 10 houses. Pure idyll.

Bring the whole family to this great place with plenty of room to relax. Whether on the balcony, in the beach chair of the conservatory, or in the communal garden, there are plenty of places to stay. The apartment is located on the 1st floor and has a spacious living area with window front into the green. In addition to the two bedrooms, each with 140 cm wide beds, there are two more single beds in the attic. The kitchen is new and very well equipped.

'IN the HORSE STABLE' door to door with chicken and horse

'IN the HORSE STABLE' is located on the ground floor of the barn of the mill estate. It used to be a stable.(Be sure to check out my other apartment 'barn loft' too. The room has low ceilings and small wall wall windows. The room is suitable for people who are looking for a more cave-like, cozy retreat. Due to the oven and the not basement, cold floor, the apartment is not suitable for toddlers who are still crawling on the floor.

More than 20 years ago we bought the Sheikh House, a single house in the beautiful volcanic region of Vogelsberg. In the past, the farmhouse consisted of a dwelling house, a stable and the barn. We both worked in tourism and managed a holiday village for a long time. When we retired, we decided: This is not possible without guests! We have always dreamed of remodeling the old barn of our house – and now was just the right time.

Holiday home on the edge of the forest "Silberhaus" with sauna

We rent a wonderful, cozy cottage. The cottage is located on the grounds of the former Maria pit right on the edge of the forest. The Silberhaus is newly renovated in 2020 and lovingly furnished. Due to the high-quality equipment and some extras such as infrared cable, wood stove, sauna with outdoor shower, large terrace overlooking the forest and much more, our holiday home is the ideal place for recreation and relaxation.
