Family-friendly vacation rentals in Yakima County

An amazing find that we’d love to come back to! The house was wonderful and large enough for our group! We were able to cook group meals in the kitchen and spread throughout the house. The hot tub was lovely and I’m sad we were just a couple weeks early to appreciate the pool (which is why we’ll have to come back)! The park across the street was nice and overall our experience was exceptional!

Steve & Peggy's home in Matawa was neat, clean and uncluttered and easy to settle into. The three bedrooms are spacious, there's a larger central area open to the kitchen. Easy to park in the garage. A nice view of the river from the home. We didn't cook but the coffee pot was perfect! A short walk away is access to the Priest Rapids Recreation Area. There is a level trail along the river. We walked this both days we were there. Nice walk, birding opportunity and easy exercise. If you go north, the trail is paved. Going south the trail becomes gravel. Both directions are good. Communication was great, emails questions were answered promptly, and we had check in information a few days ahead. We left a pair of shoes, and Steve and Peggy have been great arranging a way for us to pick them up. Very kind and easily arranged. We would be happy to stay here again and recommend this listing. This place was wonderful. it accommodated my 7 member family. great space for our pets. great space for my grandchildren. swimming basketball hoop. walks to the river. Boated 2 days. Great kitchen and pantry set up. lots of refrigerator space. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises. star gazing at night. swims at night. Family dinners at your big dining table and room to eat out side. I will definitely rent again

We absolutely loved staying here. I almost would say the pictures don’t do it justice. It’s located in a beautiful canyon with lots of wildlife. Morning sunrises were spectacular and the house was very lovely. It’s a really special place and we will be back! Thanks Bebe!

I was looking for peaceful and this place was so peaceful and the views were absolutely stunning. My only problem was that I wanted to stay more time! Jim’s directions were very clear and the host was very responsive. The cabin was bigger than I expected and it was so charming. My children loved that they got to stay in a real cabin. If peace and quiet a place to unplug from your phone and just enjoy nature and get away from city life this is the perfect place for that, even if it’s for a short stay like myself. Everything was perfect and just so beautiful! Thank you Jim for sharing your home it is a gem!

Debbie’s place was nice and clean and had a great layout for our group. We really enjoyed the patio in back as it is on the golf course and the chairs were very comfortable.

Great place, and very family friendly. Elise has great communication, and was able to accommodate a noon check out by request. We would use again down the road

The unit worked well for our stay in Yakima. The unit was clean and the kitchen well stocked with pans, dishware, etc.

We Enjoyed our stay. The home was within 10 min of the place we were in town to visit. Sunnyside Geffin lake Pheasant upland site. Enjoyed the entire trip and the family members that didn't venture into the prairie enjoyed staying home and relaxing. Thank You for allowing us into your home. It was great, like house sitting for our Firefighter bud from out of town.

The view was beyond spectacular. The winery and grounds are gorgeous and watched sunset and sunrise every morning. Stunning! Lots of room in the airbnb and very comfy. It could use some updating, particularly the bathrooms. Would definitely come back. Thank you for a small piece of heaven.
