I'm a native Korean, personal publisher, and official English tour-guide. I wrote book about Hangeul and taught foreigner students for basic Korean. I have taught Korean to beginners since 2017.

I hate writing negative reviews but want to give feedback to help you make an informed decision on if you want to spend money on this. My daughter & I were really looking forward to this class & we booked it on our 1st day as our 1st activity so set the tone for the rest of our trip & help us with our Korean. 1st issue: while we’re on the way to the class our host asks us to change our class time because the guests before us asked to push their time back. As a business owner it’s inconsiderate to ask this of a customer 30 minutes before their scheduled time. The previous customer should have been instructed to change their time if they couldn’t make it on time. 2nd issue: the photos show this is in a private classroom setting, it was held in a public area which was very loud & hard to concentrate/listen 3rd issue: while the host is extremely nice it was unorganized & didn’t seem like she has formal teaching experience so we left w/o much knowledge Left feeling like I wasted my $?

Very helpful and enjoyable language lesson! My husband, daughter and I had a blast learning basic Korean expressions and cultural norms. Loved meeting at City Hall as well. The host was kind and accommodating. She gave wonderful recommendations and tailored the experience to our interests. I would highly recommend doing this to everyone visiting Seoul or learning Korean for the first time.

She is so warm and enthusiastic! Even though she had a lesson planned, she was very flexible about skipping things I already knew and working on things I needed to practice or questions I had. She is also funny and encouraging, and I truly enjoyed the time we spent together! She went above and beyond with the lesson, and when I left, I felt like I’d made a friend. I look forward to booking another of her tours next time I’m in Seoul.
