We had a wonderful experience on our morning hike with John and his wife. They brought light snacks and offered jackets, hiking poles, etc…and they set us up with plenty of great recommendations to fill the rest of the day :) The location was beautiful and uncrowded, and it was great being able to chat with John about the local geological history—he knows his stuff!
The hike was relatively short and very relaxed without too much of an elevation gain; I would recommend for families or folks interested in a casual wilderness experience. You want to be sure-footed enough to contend with the roots on the forest trail, but kids and even recently retired folks would do well! Gorgeous spot :)
