Exactly as presented in photos, except it is closer to the chairlift than you would think - basically across the street and up the hill about 50 meters, can see it out your door.

We had a wonderful stay! Within minutes of the ski resort, but still peaceful and quiet. There was the sweetest deer sitting outside every morning that my kids loved. The place was very clean and well maintained. The only thing I’ll note for people with small kids or older adults is the stairs are quite steep! Just something to be aware of We loved it and hoped to be back again!

Eddie was super helpful when we were looking for things to do with small children. He let us know ahead of time of rules to ensure they were very clear! The house felt like you were home away from home! We loved our stay!

We stayed at Holli’s place over the New Year’s Eve holiday, and it exceeded our expectations. TThe beauty of the home and its surroundings is even better than the photos can capture. The house is fully equipped with everything you need for both short and long stays. The outdoor space is amazing, offering stunning 360-degree views of the mountains and fields — perfect for watching sunsets and stargazing. Out pup loved it too. Highly recommended!

The two bedroom condo was perfect and a great find being a short 2 min drive to the resort area. Easy access in and out. Being there for almost a week, the available washer and dryer in the building was a big plus. The unit is comfortable and the radiant heating keeps the unit so warm and cozy!!! Would stay again!

We were in Taos to ski and eat at The Love Apple 😂. This house was beautiful, in a beautiful setting, accessible, so easy to get to the ski field and to town for all the foods. Just loved this home and everything about it. The views are splendid, the neighborhood a pleasure to stroll and the night skies so dark and starry, they rival ours back home in Joshua Tree.
Townhouse in Angel Fire
4.92 out of 5 average rating, 134 reviewsFamily-Friendly, Spacious On Shuttle to Resort
Couldn’t ask for a better location; shuttle access was fantastic. Much larger upstairs than I had expected. Plenty of room to entertain a group or get away from each other for a bit of quiet time. Garage is a skinny one car, but worked great for ski gear and loading and unloading our vehicle on dry ground. Highly recommend this place, especially if you want to cook your own meals, great layout to the well appointed kitchen. An electric recliner and a remote for gas fireplace was lovely after a day of skiing.

This is a great place to stay. It was just as advertised. The host was always available from start to finish and proactive in making sure we had a great time. This cabin is very comfortable for large families and we are already planning our trip back for next year. I would wholeheartedly recommend this cabin for anyone.

Even better in person! Definitely a longer drive (15min) than some other BnBs, but TOTALLY worth it for the view and the privacy! It was so quiet we couldn’t hear a car on the road when in the hot tub, and the stars at night even through the window were pristine! …not to mention the gorgeous nightly, unobstructed sunsets!!! Aaaahhhh it was simply epic!!! To top it off, Mary and Maggie were the BEST hosts! So responsive and helpful. Even though their house is next door, we truly felt on our own. 💯 will stay again!

Really enjoyed my stay at Justin's place! It is located on a quiet street a little ways from the main plaza in Taos. The neighborhood is very peaceful. The house has plenty of character and I really felt like I was back in time! Justin provided plenty of recommendations for going into town and also finding some great hiking trails. Looking forward to returning and staying here again!

amazing airbnb. me and my girlfriend hiked and then enjoyed a restful weekend here. it was stunning and the hosts were so nice and attentive the whole time. We had some plumbing issues before we showed up and they didn’t hesitate to fix it in less than a few hours. 10/10 would definitely come back and stay again!!
Home in Arroyo Seco
4.84 out of 5 average rating, 347 reviewsPeaceful Adobe w Jacuzzi, Walk to Arroyo Seco
We’ve been to Taos several times and this house has been the best location yet! It’s 10 steps away from the Aroyo Seco town center that has one of the best restaurants in Taos (ASEQ), cafes, grocery store and great local shops. If you’re there for skiing like we were Taos Ski Valley is about 15 miles away! Also about 10 miles from Black Rock hot springs. You’re still close enough to downtown Taos without being in the high traffic areas. The house is secluded and very peaceful. The kitchen had all the necessary stuff. We cooked nearly everyday, multiple times per day. One thing to note is that the house is dark. You only get an hour or two of sunshine if you have all the curtains open. I enjoy morning light in a cozy house. Lastly but, most importantly our host was very quick to respond and friendly. We enjoyed our Christmas week stay.

I can’t say enough about this place! It’s perfect! If I could live here full-time, I would! So well appointed. Never in 10 years have I seen an Airbnb so well appointed with everything I needed. The surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful. You will not want for anything in the kitchen, and everything is available in the laundry room is so helpful. The radiant floor heat felt so great. Everything was very clean. You will not be disappointed with this place at all.

Amazing stay! Kelly & Eric were incredibly responsive and helpful. Their place was spotless, tidy, and beautiful. It had everything you could possibly need for a cozy time. Tucked away and totally private, the views were incredible. Not to mention the stars at night were beyond gorgeous! And downtown was 10 minutes away, only about 7 minutes away from a few of our favorite spots which made the location even more perfect. We felt right at home. 100% would stay again.

This was our second time staying at Tommy’s house and it is without a doubt one of our favorite Airbnb experiences ever. The house is beautiful and immaculate and the surroundings are unbelievably peaceful. Everything that you could need is provided - the whole vibe is luxurious but homey. Tommy’s photographs throughout the house are stunning. We purchased one to take home this time as a memory of our trip! I’m so grateful that he makes this amazing space available for others. Can’t recommend highly enough!

We truly felt at home at Kim’s place! The house is spacious, beautifully decorated, couches and beds comfortable (master mattress is firm, we like it), it is well stocked with everything you need for basic cooking (even with spices, olive oil… Keurig pods were a plus) and temperature was always easy to adjust in the colder days. Very cozy!! The hot tub outside was amazing!! Every evening we soaked our sore bodies from skiing all day… looking at the stars! The house is surrounded by mountains and the sunrise and sunset is absolutely gorgeous every single day, appreciated from the many many windows!! Windows looked like paintings! It is though almost an hour from Angel Fire Ski Resort each way… the only reason we will stay scolded to the slopes on our next ski trip there again. But it is only 10 minutes from the restaurants, supermarket and Taos shops!! We were a couple with 2 older teens and we all really enjoyed our lovely stay at Deep Mesa!!!

We stayed for a week over Christmas and it was awesome. The place is located super close to the lift (about 5 min. walk). The condo is very cozy and had all the amenities we needed for a week long stayed. We enjoyed being able make home made meals in the kitchen after a long day skiing. Taylor and Nathan are very kind and super responsive. They also set up a little Christmas tree for us!

We had a late arrival due to winter weather and bad road conditions on I-40 on the way there. To accommodate, Ziggy was willing to let us have a late checkout. Ultimately, we decided to end our stay at our originally planned time, but I really appreciated that our host was willing to be flexible due to things outside of our control. We do a lot of traveling with our dogs (that are crate trained) and we loved how close this place was to the lift so we could check on them and let them out at lunchtime! The view of the mountain is excellent, and the amenities were exactly as described. Our family of 4 was very comfortable here. I am very particular about cleanliness, and thankfully the condo was spotlessly clean and easy to get to. 10/10, highly recommend!!!

Amazing location, especially if you’re planing to be on the mountain! The unit had everything we needed, and the kitchen was well stocked with the essentials and some great snacks. I didn’t love not having a private on-suite bathroom or closet in the main bedroom, but I was able to put some things in the other large closet, and adjusted to the bathroom being across the hall. The only real issue we had was with understanding the main heater/fireplace. It seemed to be on a preset schedule and would shut off periodically, plunging the temp upstairs quickly into the 50’s while watching tv in the evenings, and every morning when waking. Luckily there are plenty of blankets to use during those time when the heather was catching up. All in all everything was wonderful and we would gladly stay again!

We stayed here for 3 nights and felt right at home! Great location and was able to walk into town for the tasty local coffee shop and grocery market. We also were able to utilize the local shuttle for transportation and that was easy and dependable with a stop close by! There’s a cute little walking loop right down the hill from the unit and it’s placed nicely between town and the angel fire ski resort. The bed was super soft and cozy! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!! The hosts were thoughtful and easy to communicate with!

We had a huge group of kids and adults, there was enough space that it didn’t feel crowded! Everything was clean and well taken care of. Some of our group had chemical skin reactions from the hot tub, we think the chemicals were not balanced well. The ski in ski out was AMAZING!! Overall a great experience!

We absolutely loved staying at Liz‘s place! The ski in and ski out made it super easy for us guys who wanted to snowboard and ski all day to do that, while the ladies were able to stay at the house. While we were at the house, hot tub and sauna were awesome to have. The tv and WiFi worked great for the football games. We were also a very short drive from Angel Freire resort, the grocery store, and anywhere else in Angel Fire.

Your guide to Taos
Welcome to Taos
Some believe Taos literally vibrates on a different frequency. Many residents and visitors here claim to hear the Taos Hum — a low buzzing sound that science can’t explain. The ethereal anomaly is a fitting mystery for an artsy town that shows love for all things mystical. This eclectic outpost is marked by classic adobe architecture, a thriving community of artists, and a penchant for relaxation — hot springs, spas, and wellness treatments abound — set against the backdrop of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and the candy-colored New Mexico desert.
You could easily spend a whole vacation soaking in the bohemian atmosphere and exploring the city’s many museums and galleries, but it would be a mistake to ignore the call of the surrounding wilderness. Vertiginous peaks tempt skiers to the Taos Ski Valley, hikers strike out across nearby plains, and the staggeringly deep Rio Grande Gorge — carved by the eponymous river that snakes between its sides — humbles onlookers.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Taos
Taos boasts more than 300 days of sunshine a year, making it a year-round resort locale. Thanks to its high elevation, though, nights cool off considerably, even in the summer. Winters are cold, and snow draws visitors who spend their days on the slopes at Taos Ski Valley. Due to the generally pleasant weather, there are always outdoor events to be found, including art, wine, and food festivals. In July the city celebrates Fiestas de Taos, three days of cultural programming that include dancing, parades, and musical performances in historic Taos Plaza. On the last full weekend in October, Taos hosts a smaller version of Albuquerque’s renowned International Balloon Festival: the more intimate Taos Mountain Balloon Rally, which sends dozens of hot air balloons skyward.
Top things to do in Taos
Go Museum Hopping
There’s no shortage of cultural institutions here, and you can spend a day or several reveling in their unique collections. The Millicent Rogers Museum, which maintains 15 galleries, is focused on the artworks of New Mexico’s Indigenous cultures, and textiles, pottery, baskets, and jewelry can be found in this vast collection of more than 7,000 objects. The Harwood Museum of Art showcases historical and contemporary New Mexico artists. The Blumenschein Home and Museum still looks much the way it did when the co-founder of the legendary Taos Arts Colony lived there more than 60 years ago.
Taos Pueblo
The Taos Pueblo is a Native American community and collection of traditionally constructed adobe buildings that has been continuously inhabited for more than 1,000 years. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the grounds include underground ceremonial chambers, the ruins of a 17th-century church, and multistory adobe structures made of packed earth and timber. Guided tours are offered year round.
Rio Grande Gorge Bridge
For a stomach-fluttering thrill, head to this 1,280-foot-long bridge that sits 650 feet above the Rio Grande — one of the highest in the United States. You can drive across this bridge, but pedestrian sidewalks also allow you to slow down and drink in the view. You might even see some bighorn sheep lounging on the nearby cliffs.
