My husband and I loved our long weekend at Melissa's! The property is beyond beautiful, so quiet and peaceful, and super clean! The bed was comfy and the highlight was our little visits from Zoe, Melissa's dog. I would highly recommend that you stay in the peaceful gem! Easy to get around the area and Melissa was great for recommendations of all to do and see!

Hidden Desert Cave Creek

MarkRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Sarah’s desert gem is amazing. You feel like you are a,one in the desert with incredible views. The natural light and scenery through the many windows appear to be paintings of the desert and sunrise/sunset. The rental is very comfortable with a very comfortable bed, big shower, huge extended kitchen, and living area. We absolutely loved this rental and will stay here again next time I am in Cave Creek and Phoenix area.

This was my first trip to Arizona . I was graduating from university of Phoenix and this Airbnb was ideal for me . It was 15 minutes from the airport and 25 minutes to Chase field where the graduation was being held. Chris is a great host, I like him and will definitely recommend his place. He is reliable and accessible. He respond quickly to my questions before the trip and thought-out the trip. The house is Beautiful , comfortable, and clean. It had all the amenities listed. It’s close to a lot of place and was easy to find . I did suggest that he put a television in the other two bed rooms . I am not a television person but my family members mentioned it . The master bedroom was the only bedroom that had a tv, and the living area did too . Thank you Chris for the accommodations !!!

We so enjoyed our stay. The place was exactly as described and shown. The amenities were plentiful. It was so nice to see little jars in the bathrooms with q tips, cotton balls and cosmetic pads. A lot of the outlets had USB slots making it super convenient to charge devices. The beds were comfortable, the linens were super cute, towels were plentiful. Just a lot of thought put into making a great guest experience. Would definitely recommend.

A gem of a location. The private yard is fantastic in the spring when the temps are below 75 and the orange tree is fruiting! House has all the listed amenities and is very quiet. Was on a business trip by myself but I'd easily take my family here. Big recommendation.

Pet friendly, Hot Tub, Patio: Old Town Scottsdale

NinaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We came to Arizona for a graduation that was in downtown phoenix. Location was not far at all! The host was very responsive and very friendly. I loved that they had extra towels for the hot tub and a very comfortable couch that we enjoyed taking naps on. The backyard was peaceful. It was a little hard to find utilizing google maps but plenty of parking on the street. The unit wasn’t luxury, but had a home feel to it. They provided snacks which was a plus since I was traveling with boys…they always love their snacks. Beds were ok, plenty of extra sheets and blankets. Getting in and out was a breeze. Over all it was a very pleasant stay. Thank you again!

Your guide to Scottsdale

All About Scottsdale

Desert living comes with an air of sophistication in Scottsdale, with more than 200 area golf courses and 50 luxury spas. Located in Arizona’s Sonoran Desert at the bottom of the McDowell Mountains, the city sits in the center of the area’s cultural hubs: a few miles south of Paradise Valley, six miles north of Tempe, about 13 miles northeast of Phoenix, 20 miles southwest of Fountain Hills, less than 20 miles southeast of Glendale, and 30 miles south of the Western town of Cave Creek. With upscale dining in North Scottsdale, shopping centers in Kierland Commons, vibrant nightlife in Old Town, and plenty of natural wonders to explore — whether it’s hiking Camelback Mountain or driving the Apache Trail — every Scottsdale experience comes with a distinctly Southwestern flavor.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Scottsdale

With 330 days of sun a year, it’s always the right time to pack light clothing for a Scottsdale visit. The sizzling desert heat reaches triple digits in the summer, with average highs above 100 degrees Fahrenheit and lows in the high 60s and 70s from June through September. Winter days remain warm with highs in the high 60s to low 70s, but lows can dip down into the high 30s and 40s, so always carry a jacket or extra layers. March, April, and November strike a balance, with highs in the 70s and lows in the 40s — the perfect months for outdoor adventures without the scorching heat or the chilly night air.

Top things to do in Scottsdale

Old Town Scottsdale

Downtown Scottsdale is better known as Old Town, but it's filled with contemporary Fifth Avenue shops, local coffee shops, and boutiques with a dose of Southwestern spirit. Turn back time in the Historic Old Town section around Scottsdale Road and East Main Street, where the buildings date to the turn of the 20th century. Stop by the Little Red School House, built in 1909, now home to Scottsdale Historical Museum.

McDowell Sonoran Preserve

With more than 225 miles of trails on its 30,550 acres, the preserve is a protected desert habitat filled with cacti forest, geological formations, and wildlife.

Taliesin West

Tours are available through the architect’s winter home, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage site and also a working architecture school.

McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park

The 30-acre park offers rides on the Paradise and Pacific Railroad, as well as the vintage carved Scottsdale Charros Carousel from the 1950s.
