Cottage on 2.5 acres Close to Downtown, Snowbowl

MatthewRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Ideal cabin close to Snowbowl. Private area but close to snowbowl, downtown flagstaff and Lowell Observatory. Highly recommend bringing chains for potentially icy roads in the neighborhood. And arrive during daylight so it is easier to find.

The Prickly Pear on Main St-WALK to Tasting Rooms

MarkRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This is an awesome location. We have family that lives in Cottonwood and we brought other family to Cottonwood for the holidays. The front unit is great. Fully equipped and functional kitchen. The dining room/front room was large with space for all. We had about 18 people for Xmas day activities. There is a great backyard, with ping pong and cornhole and some other games. There were yoga mats and yoga happened. Everyone enjoyed the accommodations. The units feel very private even though the front is on Main Street. We had 2 small dogs and the driveway has a closing gate which allowed the dogs to be outside without the possibility of wandering off. The yard was enclosed. The units are close to Old Town Cottonwood. An easy walk to wineries, dining and shops. Hard to go wrong in this location Kristen and Glen were helpful and informative. We needed fragrance free cleaning due to some allergies and they accommodated our cleaning needs. Highly appreciated! We'd go again.

Beautiful home in a great location! The rooms are large and comfortably fit two guests in each room. The driveway is VERY steep as the host let us know before hand - better off parking on the streets if there is no snow :) Wonderful vacation spot

Blue Canyon Lodge ❤️ Great hiking & biking getaway!

DanaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This place is so peaceful and serene. We stayed an extra night just to rest a little more on our cross country trip. It’s a very well-appointed and cute place but it is small. Def not for a group. Perfect for a couple or a couple with small children. :)

Walk to the swimming holes. Guest House.

EllieRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Part of being a good host is being responsive when issues arise. We had a small issue when we checked in late at night. The host was very responsive and quick to make everything perfect immediately. The area was fabulous for hiking and views gorgeous esp if you hiked up the hill to Slick rock. Downtown Sedona can be pretty busy so it was nice to have options in the area for hiking and views. Our dog loved the back yard and made friends with other doggos in the area so able to run off that energy. Would def stay there again.

A Home With A View!

KendraRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Rommy was so thoughtful when our flights were drastically delayed and we arrived at 2 a:m.: she stopped by to turn the lights on for us and left us some snacks. The beds were so comfy and warm, and the home is perfectly decorated-not cluttered or lived-in at all! The whole place was SPOTLESS. There’s a lovely walk by a creek nearby that we enjoyed several times. The charm and serenity packed into the terraced back yard is a sweet surprise. It’s a very peaceful neighborhood-just more populated than I normally like on a getaway. Neat, tidy, spic & span, and charming! Loved it!

Truly a gem, exactly as pictured, and so many thoughtful details throughout that most airbnb’s skip out on. Would definitely stay again!

TabithaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My dad and I took my daughter for a long weekend. I went to school up there so it was fun to be back on my old stomping grounds. The home is in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to downtown and plenty of things to do. Gorgeous view. Home was very clean and as described. Maria made sure we had all the information we needed. The home was nice and cozy. It was perfect for our trip. We definitely recommend to anyone

Alpine Stone Cottage, Downtown

DanielRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Incredible house in an even better location. The space was perfect for 10 grown adults to hang out. We walked back and forth from downtown multiple times. Its a very easy walk. We hung out all 10 of us at night time in the house. Never felt cramped. I don't think you can beat the location and price of this Air BnB, it was perfect. Thanks Wade!

Your guide to Flagstaff

All About Flagstaff

The city of Flagstaff is home to various natural wonders, such as Arizona’s tallest mountain, Humphreys Peak, which draws hikers, skiers, and mountaineers to this scenic stretch of Northern Arizona. It’s also where you’ll find Walnut Canyon National Monument, with canyon walls and cliffs holding dwellings that once served as homes to the Sinagua Indians in the 12th and 13th centuries. The Sinagua left more than 80 multi-room dwellings here, 25 of which can be viewed from the footpaths snaking through the canyons. Further remains of ancient Sinagua structures, inhabited between 1070 and 1275 A.D., can be found at Elden Pueblo Archaeological Site in central Flagstaff.

The city itself has a sophisticated restaurant scene and notable museums such as the Museum of Northern Arizona, where you can learn all about this fascinating red rock region of the United States. Flagstaff is also a popular stop on the way to the Grand Canyon, whose pastel peaks and sweeping vistas are only an hour and a half away.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Flagstaff

Flagstaff boasts plenty to do year-round, making it an ideal getaway during any season. If you’re planning to get your fill of winter sports and explore the nearby ski slopes, then make sure you get here between December and February. Just remember to pack those tire chains or have four-wheel drive to avoid any hiccups en route. If you’re looking to bask in the Arizona sunshine, then book your cabin in Flagstaff for July or August. Fall and spring in Flagstaff offer more temperate weather, with plenty of trails perfect for a midday hike during these months.

Top things to do in Flagstaff

Lowell Observatory

As one of the oldest observatories in the United States, Lowell Observatory has a fascinating history. This now research facility is where astronomers first discovered Pluto in the early 20th century, where the rings of Uranus were studied in great detail, and where the Apollo program worked on some of their moon planning. Today you can take a tour of the facility, watch various science films, and check out far away constellations using the observatory telescope.

Humphrey’s Peak Trail

The hike up to Arizona’s highest peak is a five-mile-long trek into nature along a steep and rocky trail that guarantees great views of the canyons and the Painted Desert. While Humphrey’s Peak Trail is open year-round, slippery conditions make it more ideal for exploring in the spring and summertime, with permits required for the winter months’ entry.

Wheeler Park

This green area — located just steps away from the city’s visitor center —plays host to a number of weekend arts festivals throughout the year, and is also one of Flagstaff’s most popular picnic spots. Visitors can enjoy the grassy land on the benches outlining the park, or bring along a blanket for a picnic. In the fall, visitors can take part in an Oktoberfest celebration, and in the winter, the park’s trees are decked out with holiday lights to bring in the season’s cheer.
