We had a lovely stay enjoying foodie places recommended by Jay Rayner in Tynemouth, North Shields and walking the dog on fab beaches, particularly enjoying Druridge Bay. Fully recommend Riley's Fish Shack in King Edward's Bay and Omni cafe. Loved it and Caitlin was very prompt in communication. Faultless stay all round.

Me and my partner absolutely loved Nicola’s place! It was so peaceful and just what we needed. The hot tub was amazing and the Christmas tree was such a lovely surprise. The surrounding area is beautiful and a nice get away from a bustling atmosphere. Watching the moon with the telescope was very memorable. This is one of a kind, no complaints!

I booked this apartment for a weekend away for myself and my girlfriend to propose to my girlfriend. Upon booking, I informed Christie that I was planning to propose and Christie was very responsive and helped with the planning and that I was able to get into the apartment early to decorate. Christie allowed to this to happen and sorted this out with the cleaners. Upon arrival, the apartment was very modern and was beautifully decorated. I was very happy with it and the apartment was definitely an amazing find! I will be booking this each year moving forward for our anniversary.

Brilliant from start to finish. Martin was so helpful and quick to reply when I had a query. The house itself was amazing - so much space - exactly right for a big group (8 of us) with fully equipped kitchen, big dining table and wonderful lounge area. The beds were very comfortable and dressing gowns were provided for all. Hot tub was really big and really added to the experience- just a fantastic time from beginning to end!

We stayed here for the weekend and what an amazing place! Very modern within walking distance to all the local restaurants and coffee shops! Perfect. Thank you.

We loved staying at Melanie’s place! It was the perfect place for us to stay whilst back visiting family in the North East. Melanie was very helpful and responsive to messages and decorated the house beautifully for Christmas. Cosy, peaceful stay and would definitely return. Thank you Melanie!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we felt at home from the day we arrived. The cottage was perfect for our extended stay (a month) and we will fondly remember our time in the cottage, Frosterley and the Weardale and North Pennines area. Our hosts were very friendly, laid back and made us feel wonderfully relaxed during our stay. The cottage was warm, comfortable and well appointed and ideal for our needs. We would definitely recommend River View Cottage and the other accommodation in the courtyard to family and friends and we would definitely consider returning in the future for another break.

What a fantastic place to stay, loved the decor and the house was warm and inviting as we arrived. Close to the beach and within easy walking distance of the town and train station. Would definitely recommend.
