Waterfront vacation rentals in Miyazaki

Not enough stars to rate this place. The 'hut' is a beautiful traditional home with tatami flooring, paper sliding doors and an old charcoal burning hearth. The garden is magical with hammocks, a fireplace and beautiful flowers. The rushing sound of the river and calls of exotic birds are all you can hear. Dippers in the stream. We walked up the track into the forest in thunderstorms and saw monkeys, boar and tanuki, and warmed up in the outdoor bath afterwards. The hosts are delightful, friendly and attentive. It is also a good base for visiting along the coast, we liked Aoshima very much and highly recommend the taco bar (serving tacos, not octopus)

Wir hatten 2 schöne Tage in Mariko's Unterkunft. Das Haus ist gemütlich und maritim eingerichtet. Es war für uns vorteilhaft, mit dem Auto zu kommen, da die Unterkunft etwas abgelegen ist, dafür liegt sie wunderschön am Wasser und über dem Haus kreisen die Schwarzmilane. Wir haben zwei schöne Ausflüge in die Umgebung gemacht. Wir können die Unterkunft von Mariko uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful house, the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful and it's easy to get to Aoshima or Miyazaki City, even without a car. The hosts were friendly and welcomed us warmly, I highly recommend this listing!

Amazing place! 10/10 would come again. For future travelers we would recommend renting a car in Miyazaki! Taxis don’t come down that far so you either need to rely on friends with cars or the bus.

Kaori’s place was walkable to Kumamoto castle and other attractions. Next to river and you can rent bicycles nearby. Comfortable stay! Thank you Kaori!

La casa si trova in un’area tranquilla di Kashima, distante 10 minuti a piedi dalla fermata dell’autobus per Kumamoto city. Grazie 大塚, per la tua ospitalità che ha aggiunto un fascino speciale al nostro viaggio! La sistemazione in cui ci siamo trovati è sembrata immergerci nell’'abbraccio di un Giappone d’altri tempi. Varcando la soglia, abbiamo sentito la cura dedicata ad ogni dettaglio. Gli interni meravigliosamente decorati, dall'angolo accogliente del soggiorno al generoso spazio per il riposo al piano superiore, ai piccoli ma significativi elementi per la colazione, tutto è stato meticolosamente considerato. Abbiamo trovato una coppia di host molto gentili e disponibili che hanno reso il nostro soggiorno indimenticabile!

Put simply, the property is significantly better than the photos. Often this isn’t the case, but it is. Spacious, very clean, light, good quality fixtures and fittings and pots and pans. it is super private and quiet. I had reservations about the shower, nothing odd and works well. The single track road whilst narrow, is OK and was of no concern the several times we used it. With lots of lovely areas to visit nearby, 15 mins to Kushima it’s a good find. Tokiro was easy to liaise with by the App and was responsive and personable.
