Vacation rentals in Lake Townsend

We enjoyed our stay so much! We love the house! The surroundings are beautiful. We even caught some fish in December. Most of our time was spent purely relaxing, and this was a perfect place for that.

Heaven Hill lives up to its name. It was a beautiful and peaceful place to spend a couple of days. It has everything you could need for a get away. The house is cute and clean. My mom loved the view of the water and a comfortable place to sit and read a book. My daughter loved the TV in her bedroom and the comfy bedding. And my son enjoyed having a man cave (downstairs) to himself and being able to sit on the dock. We played trivia in the living room, made waffles at the breakfast bar, and played cards at night on the downstairs porch. When I accidentally locked us out of the house, our hosts were quick to respond and help us get back in. Their responsiveness saved our one day in town to go antique shopping and to get some great burgers. The only concern we had for our stay is the steep incline of the driveway/stairs. We parked on the main road and had to lug everything down to the house. My mom is 78 and that was a bit much for her. Other than the driveway, it was a perfect 10.

Sallie was very accommodating to our last minute need for an Airbnb when our closing was delayed 2 days. She always responded to messages very quickly and was very kind to our family. We will absolutely stay here again. The view of the lake from the private dock and having a private guest house in addition to the main home was wonderful!

Once you get past the dingy carpeted stairs up to the apartment and open the door - the place is great. Great decor and amenities in a historic and quaint setting. The traffic can be a bit loud at times due to the antique windows. But I get it with historical tax credits et al. Convenient location with good parking and lots of stuff close by.

We have stayed at this house twice and would come back again. Neighborhood is quiet and Heather is extremely responsive and helpful.

A small home away from home. This cottage is clean, comfortable, with perfect decorations and furniture. Comfy bed and pillows with lots of space for a cottage. Fast Wifi and 2 Roku TVs with climate control in living room and bedroom. A very responsive and helpful host is a major plus. Located in a quiet small neighborhood close to downtown Danville. We enjoyed the outdoor patio, where you can listen to the birds and the river flowing over the dam. A great place to get away to relax and unwind for a bit.

We hosted out of town guests for our daughter’s wedding - they all said this was an amazing place. Lots of room, clean, convenient.

The perfect location, friendly communication from the host, and a modern kitchen with appliances and cookware that made preparing home cooked meals enjoyable. Overall, we had a peaceful stay.

This place was the best “staycation” for us as we only live 30 minutes away but we wanted to “live the lake life” for a week! I know that lake like the back of my hand but seeing it from waking up to the sunrise on from beautiful back porch views to taking in the sunset and after dark on the dock fishing til I can’t fish anymore, nothing beats living on the lake even if it was for a week. Enjoying the lake while staying on the lake beats everything there ever could be, and this house is perfect for it! The yard is perfect for the dogs and the neighbors are so nice! The house has plenty of room for what you need as most of the time is spent outside! Loved every bit of it
