Vacation rentals in Kalawat

Beautiful place, amazing view close to the water and a shop at 5 min walking, amazing host 🌊 safe space to park your motorbike, downstairs you have always people present who answer your questions and help you out. There is a pool on the 15th floor which is also pretty amazing. Just be aware there is no WiFi connection, I didn't read this well( my own fault) and it got a bit stressy with work. also, be aware that somehow the 4G signal in the building ( or Manado?) is not so strong if you want to do video calling would def recommend!

We were here for a month. It's a remarkable place, teak wood throughout. It's an older house/former hotel with an absolutely amazing team of caretakers, Vino and his wife Sal. They went above and beyond for us at every single moment. I think it's the perfect base if you are diving at one of the dive resorts nearby. It gives you a chance to save vs staying at the resort. Manado isn't a well-developed tourist area, and Kalasey less so. You will always be able to find an Indrive or grab car, and the people are incredibly kind. Just remember that if you are a westerner you will stand out, get your photo taken, all that, if you decide to do things outside of the bungalow or in town. It can be a bit much, though that has nothing to do with the property. Manado city has a few good malls and great restaurants. Hapa Kitchen is one we loved. Three Key things: AC works. Pool is amazing. And it has literally the best wifi coverage and speed of any place I have ever stayed. I was shocked. So good

We spent 1 week at John's place and really enjoyed ourselves because the view was amazing. There was also lots of eateries nearby. My favorite was SONDO | MISOA BAR where the beef meesuah was the best. We also took a walk to the nearby market Pasar Bahu and had nasi kuning there. John was helpful with information on Manado as well as flexible with the check in and check out time. We had to place a cash deposit with him which he graciously agreed allowed us to use our own local currency as we didn't want to return with too much Indonesian Rupiah at the end of our trip. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Ons verblijf in dit stukje paradijs was meer dan voortreffelijk! Tia en Annie hebben ons met ontbijt, lunch en diner ontzettend verwend! Maar ook zijn beiden zeer gastvrij! Oom T heeft ons naar wens rondgereden en als een ervaren touristguide de mooiste plekken laten zien. Geregeld stopt hij de auto en stapt uit om extra info te geven over flora en fauna. Heeft enorm veel kennis over geheel Sulawesi!! We hebben ons thuis gevoeld en voor herhaling vatbaar😍😍😍 liefs familie de groot sopacua

The place comes with a great view. Its location is convenient enough with choices of eateries and the biggest mall -Mantos Mall- within walking distance. The praying hands monument was also within walking distance. The management was also very nice and helpful. Al assisted us throughly from the moment we checked till checkout. The host Angelia was a great host and was always responsive even though we inquire so much till midnight😅 A great choice for location.

We stayed only for 2 days but quite enjoyed the house. Mr Sukamto gave a very clear guidance about arrival route. and our co-host, Mr Roland was waiting there in advance. Mr. Roland checked in us every day to see if we need anything for help. Very considerate and kind. 100% recommend Sukamto's house if you decide to visit Tomohon.
