Nestled in Asheville’s peaceful Kenilworth forest area, this suite is walking-distance to the rivers, parks, public transit and everyday conveniences like pubs, cafes, and local restaurants in the Biltmore Village and Estate.

You'll feel tucked high among mature trees with plenty of privacy while being just 5 - 10 mins drive to Asheville's River Arts District, the breweries, and golf courses.

Ideal for folks seeking natural charm, pure solitude, or quick access to hiking trials and the BRP.

The space
The house is a modern (2015) ‘brutalist’ architectural building with brushed concrete walls and polished concrete floors throughout its two levels. It’s located among very tall (100' - 200') leafy Oak, Poplar, Cherry, Sycamore and Beech trees full of birds, and squirrels, along with rabbits, chipmunks and (more frequently) black bears beneath them.

Entry to the private ‘Wanderlust’ suite is along the paved walkway to the right of the garage along the front of the house.

Inside you'll find plenty of space to feel at home.

The main bedroom contains a cozy queen size bed covered with luxury 1000-count all-organic Egyptian cotton sheets and bedding.

There is plenty of space in the family room which doubles as the second bedroom. It contains a huge sectional couch, a 65" TV with access to all channels and networks, and a queen size Murphy bed - which is also ready made with the super cozy 1000-count all-organic Egyptian cotton sheets and bedding.

The bathroom contains a shower (no bathtub), Egyptian cotton towels, soaps, and hairdryer.

You also have immediate access to a small refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee brewer (with coffee cream or sweeteners), an iron and ironing board.

We keep hundreds of precious books in it - should you choose to do any reading inside or on the hammock outside under the trees - as well as many fun board and card games stored under the TV console.

Guest access
Our driveway is immediately to the right of the Pickwick Road STOP sign on the sharp Caledonia St intersection. It is about 50 feet long and at a 20 degree incline.

We invite you to park your vehicle at the top beside our Mini which is usually there.

Entry to your private suite is via keyless coded access through the hurricane glassed double doors under the metal "Wanderlust" sign at the end of the paved walkway to the right of the garage along the front of the house.

Other things to note
We have a very cute 25 pound Shih-tzu-King Charles Cavalier named Penelope. She loves people and male dogs about her own size - just FYI.

This is a tight hilly heavily forested area on the southern end of Asheville’s Kenilworth neighborhood very close to the Swannanoa River overlooking the Biltmore Village. It’s full of birds, bees, squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks, and bears among the ivy, and the 100-200 feet tall trees.

I’m an Aussie with USA roots traced to the rebellious anti-authoritarian Signers of the Declaration of Independence. I’ve lived and worked in Australia, South Africa, Canada, and the USA. Have visited 30-odd more. Now in Asheville NC loving the access to rivers, lakes, parks, and the Blue Ridge Parkway (via an FLHRC). Am loving the Asheville people - as well as my special partner in crime - Lidia. We love a glass of wine or two whenever provoked.
