Enjoy your holiday with 2-4 people in the Tannenhäusle, a rustic log cabin with fireplace, sauna and private garden in a sunny forest edge location on the edge of the central Black Forest.

The space
Living
The Tannenhäusle has a well-kept plot of approx. 470 sqm, which is not fenced in. There is also a small garden pond on the property (also without a fence) and a small garden house. Enjoy the south-facing seating area on the terrace from February to October in fine weather. The garden table with four folding reclining chairs and the two sun loungers can be shaded in summer with a wide awning and invite you to enjoy a barbecue dinner. The cosy seating area of the veranda of the entrance area invites you to watch birds, read undisturbed or just enjoy your holiday.
The house has a living and dining area of approx. 24 sqm with a wood-burning stove.

Sleeping
In the bedroom downstairs there is a French bed (160 x 200). With the help of a ladder, the two sleeping places (80 x 200 or French bed 160 x 200) on the open gallery above the living room can be reached. Caution the room is under the sloping roof and does not have sufficient standing height (at the ridge approx. 1.35 m).

Cooking & (sauna) bathing
The fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, ceramic hob/oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, kitchen utensils and crockery as well as a washing machine also allows for culinary experiments.
The lovingly furnished bathroom has a ground-level shower, toilet and washbasin. The sauna invites you to relax not only on cold winter days.
Bed and table linen as well as hand and kitchen towels are provided.

Being outside
At the small garden pond at the edge of the terrace you can watch newts and frogs or enjoy the beautiful water lily. In autumn, mushrooms can be found in the nearby forest around the house.
The log cabins built on this spacious and well-maintained plot are mainly used as holiday homes, with a few also serving as main residences. As a result, the holiday home settlement is not very frequented, so that mainly birdsong can be heard here and the birds can be observed at the numerous feeding places.

Activities & Excursions
In the immediate vicinity (bicycle) hikes, climbing (Boller Fels in Aistaig), and in winter cross-country skiing and snowshoe tours in beautiful surroundings are possible. Outdoor swimming pools are available in Sulz, Oberndorf and Bettenhausen.
Fishing opportunities, Alpirsbach golf course, canoeing tours on the Neckar (boat hire in Sulz-Fischingen).
The following destinations are ideal for day trips: Kinzigtal and Kinzigursprung (Lossburg), Dorotheenhütte glass-blowing factory in Wolfach, Zip-line in Heubachtal, Vogtsbauernhöfe open-air museum in Gutach, world's largest cuckoo clock in Schonach, Europapark in Rust, Old town of Freiburg im Breisgau, Feldberg summit 1480m, Mummelsee, Titisee (with bathing facilities), monastery brewery in Alpirsbach, Triberg waterfalls, Poppeltal summer toboggan run, Black Forest Park/Animal Park Löffingen, Rottweil: Tower with Germany's highest viewing platform and the oldest town in Baden-Württemberg, wine towns such as Gengenbach (Germany's largest Advent calendar) and Durbach and the Kaiserstuhl, and much more.

Guest access
Guests use the whole house alone.

Other things to note
The equipment and location of the house are not especially designed for children, although the closeness to nature offers many possibilities especially for children. However, there are also dangers lurking (ladder to the sleeping loft, pond, missing fence) and the landlord is not liable for accidents. However, we are very happy to welcome families.
Unfortunately, the house is neither barrier-free (two - three steps) nor handicapped accessible (bathroom/toilet).
There is a private parking space on the street "Alte Reute", about 200 m from the house (in front of the second garage from the bottom).

Arrival by DB and public transport:
By IC or RE to Oberndorf station (on the Stuttgart-Zurich "Gäubahn" line) from there by bus (line 31 or call taxi) to the Marschalkenzimmern, Alte Reute stop (approx. 10 min.). Then approx. 500 m on foot.
By car:
Coming from the north, A 81, exit Sulz, direction Dornhan.
Coming from the south on the A 81, exit Oberndorf.

After the village of Weiden follow Marschalkenzimmern. Turn right here directly after the town sign (white sign "Alte Reute"). See also map.
