The space
At Hrivko, we keep the original feeling while providing modern comforts: You will surely enjoy the large, private garden with its many trees, the spacious outdoors sitting area with its fire pit, BBQ grill and hammock. After a good days hike, you can deep-relax your muscles and mind in the comfortable sauna.

Our cottage has one level and accommodates up to nine people without feeling too crowded, but can also be enjoyed by a single couple (at a lower price). It has 2 spacious bedrooms divided by a small hall and separate access, if required.

Each bedroom has one modern, large double bed, one retro sofa bed and blackout curtains. The middle bedroom has cosy wood-burning fireplace and there is WiFi throughout the building.

The well-equipped kitchen with adjoined pantry has direct access to the garden and sitting area, where you can enjoy the fire pit or cooking a BBQ and relax in the sun.

The kitchen is ideal for family meals with a table to gather around. A baby high-chair is also provided enabling the whole family to eat together. It has one retro sofa bed.

The bathroom has a bathtub with shower, a sink, towel drier and toilet.

The cottage provides flexible living space for the whole family and offers a cosy base to return to after exploring the local hills and mountains.

Guest access
You reach village Heľpa by car, train or bus and you get around the village easily by foot, by bike or car.

Our cottage is situated on a quiet road, and restaurant (pizzeria, pub and cafe) and local shops (Coop plus smaller ones) are available in a walking distance (five minutes). Parking is available in the courtyard for up to two cars and there is free parking on the street next outside our gate.

Being located in the protection zone of three National Parks - the Low Tatras, Muránská planina and Slovak Paradise, this is a great area for hiking, discovering interesting trails, go mountain biking, trail running or skiing. It is situated quite high, but centrally in the village of Heľpa, in the Upper Hron river valley, below the Kralova Hoľa massif on the southern slopes of the Low Tatras mountains in Central Slovakia.

Right behind the village you can go hiking or mountain biking and there are multiple ski-resorts available, closest being Polomka at 10 km (12 min by car) and Telgart at 20km (20 min by car).

Sauna included at no extra cost (just electricity use) 0.40 EUR/kWh for electricity charged separately at the end of your stay. Do not hesitate to contact us for more info (e.g. single couple - 1/2 cottage occupancy).
