Welcome to our haven at Croix Rousse.
Quiet and welcoming room with private shower, on the 2nd floor of a modern house, close to Place Bertone, between Metro Croix-Rousse and the Hospital.
Shared space with us and other guests: dining room, kitchen, toilet, ground floor terrace. You share toilet with people from 2 other bedrooms on the same floor.
Towel is included in the price.
The space
Very quiet🇫🇷 room, with a comfortable 140x200 bed, in a modern house (2017), a stone's throw from Place Bertone, between Metro Croix-Rousse and the Hospital, in a very quiet neighborhood of Lyon.
Your room is located on the 2nd and top floor. It has its own bathroom. The toilet - shared with the other occupants of the 2 bedrooms on this floor.
Our family, my husband, me, our 7 year old and our dog Pepper, we live on the first floor. This is where there is a laundry room with washing machine and dryer (available on request only).
Our two adult daughters only live with us occasionally.
The kitchen and dining room, which we share, is on the ground floor.
The street is very quiet and very little traffic. The bedroom does not directly open to the street, but to the indoor terrace.
You can very easily enjoy all the small restaurants and places of life of Croix Rousse, while resting in a privileged place.
BREAKFAST - is not planned, however you have the option to have coffee, tea, herbal tea, whenever you want.
GARAGE: We have the possibility to rent a space in a closed underground garage (€10 per night, subject to availability).
We don't have bedroom door keys. No one is allowed to enter your room.
Summer: it's an obvious information for us, but we prefer to repeat it: in summer it's very hot in Lyon. Keep shutters closed during the day, to avoid having a greenhouse effect in the room (it faces south) .
At night, if you turn on the light - close the windows. Mosquitoes and other bugs are not going into your room. Thank you
EVERY YEAR IN AUGUST
August is a vacation period for merchants and restaurateurs in the neighborhood, most shops are closed.
🇬🇧If you are looking for a quiet place with a comfortable double bed, private shower, close to the center of Croix Rousse, and you like to share your stay with a local family - this is a place for you.
Your room is on the second floor of our modern urban villa (build in 2017). There are 2 other rooms, one rented out for a student, the other one for other Airbnb guests.
We live on the first floor. The kitchen and the home office is on the ground level.
You have a private bathroom (without the toilet) in your room.
The toilet is shared with other guests on your floor.
BREAKFAST: is not provided: however you can use the kitchen and have a coffee/tea/herbal tea, whenever you want.
IMPORTANT: paid underground PARKING SLOT (€10 per night, please ask for availabilities).
There is no key for your room. No one enters your room.
During summertime (it is obvious for us but we prefer to underline it) - the weather in Lyon could be very hot from June to August. Please - keep the store closed, you will avoid the heat in your room, and the temperature will be a few degrees less than outside. In the evening, when you switch on the light, please close the window (we don't have a musketeer, or mosquito prevention).
EVERY AUGUST
August is traditionally a holiday period for the restaurants and shops in Croix Rousse. It can be VERY CALM around.

We have a 7-year-old child (who wakes up early) and an old and sick dog (male) (who unfortunately smells very bad)
Both of us work full time, when we can, we arrange to be able to check in earlier and check out later, but this is not always possible.
For people looking for an impeccable home - this is not the place, move on - we live there and take care of it as best we can but we can't be 100% all the time.
OUR NEIGHBORHOOD - IS VERY QUIET.
If you're looking for a lively neighborhood during the day and in the evening, it's not here either. Thank you for understanding.
The entire house is a non-smoking area (NO SMOKING HOUSE)
Our home is not air conditioned and does not have mosquito repellent .
Our rooms are not locked.
AUGUST: this is the period when shops are closed. Many restaurants, bars, shops, bakeries and stores are closed. Please keep this in mind. We are sometimes penalized in the reviews for this, but it is the specificity of our neighborhood - it is very quiet.
We put a lot of attention to make the room the most comfortable for you and make your stay the most enjoyable.
