This is a rustic cabin conveniently located between the east and west entrances to Glacier National Park. This cozy cabin is a little sanctuary nestled between the 1 million acres of Glacier National Park and 1.5 million acres of the Bob Marshall Wilderness. There is no cell service along this mountain pass but hopefully you are looking for a place to disconnect for a bit! This special place is available for the outdoorsy types that can respect and appreciate an old cabin in the woods.

The space
This small cabin is on a wooded lot off of the main highway. The driveway is U shaped so you can pull in one of the two driveways and drive up to the cabin.

The cabin itself has a bed in the room connected to the main living room, a full kitchen on the other side of the living room and then an additional bed room in the back along with the one bathroom.

Guest access
You will have access to the cabin but not the shed on the property. The fireplace is not functional at the moment and the wood stove is off limits to guests for safety reasons. You are more than welcome to build a fire outside in the firepit however—it is much more beautiful outside on a clear night anyways!

Other things to note
There is no cell service but there is Starlink WiFi. The trees on the property are beautiful but has made it difficult to get a clear field of view for Internet service. As a result, the WiFi can be pretty spotty at times. I have no problem surfing the web and even streaming videos but phone calls do tend to drop when making calls over the WiFi. This makes it an ideal place for someone looking to disconnect, and not ideal for someone who needs to work remotely. This also leads me to my next point:

This is a very rustic cabin and as a result it is not what I would consider children-friendly. It is an older build and has not been childproofed at all. There are lots of nooks and crannies and things for a child to get into. This—in addition the the remoteness and occasional spotty Internet—is why I believe families with small children may not be a good fit.

My work: Registered Nurse
I am originally from Detroit, Michigan (sorry any rival sports fans!). Currently I am living and working in British Columbia, Canada as a Internationally Educated Nurse but I frequently visit Essex, Montana where I have a small cabin near Glacier National Park. Since I am frequently away from Montana, I have enjoyed the opportunity of sharing my space there with guests on Airbnb. I previously owned a duplex in Detroit that also rented out thru Airbnb for years.
