Unique geography, nestled in the hills, provides a level of quiet that is truly serene. Guests may experience calmness, deep reflection and possible desire to meditate.

Let the silence soothe you, along with spectacular views in all directions, sunsets you’ll never forget and the chance to see stunning wildlife right in your own backyard!

Come inside to a bright and open living room with comfortable seating for viewing art or your favorite shows on the Samsung Frame HDTV. You’ll find warm-toned lighting on dimmer switches throughout the home with USB and USB-C outlets at every outlet.

During your stay, you’ll notice we take every opportunity to improve comfort and convenience.

The Haus boasts 2 spacious bedrooms with full-length mirrors and closet spaces for clothes storage during your stay.

- Each have queen beds with soft and comfortable linens, the quality of your rest here is very important to us!

- Also find a sleeper-sofa in the family room to sleep 2; the home sleeps a total of up to 6 guests.

Experience heated stone floors warming your feet after exiting the tub in each bathroom. A full shower bathtub, Toto water-saving toilets and gold Moen fixtures provide a bright and refreshing vibe in each commode.

- One full bath is located in the hallway and one full en-suite bath adjoins the Primary Bedroom.

Find yourself in a hygge space to relax and reconnect in the family room, with carefully selected lighting, leather lounge chair and sleeper sofa. The unique hardwood coffee tables offer a delightful space for games or your charcuterie board while soaking in the hi-desert views.

Defined outdoor areas include a shaded patio perfect for your group to possibly spy a roadrunner, jackrabbit or a stunning sunset. Your new favorite napping spot awaits on the stylish outdoor sectional or hammock (nothing compares to a snooze in the desert air). When the sun goes down, enjoy open air seating around the fire table for memorable stargazing at night.

The Hi-Desert Haus is also a collaboration with local businesses we love; impeccable cleaning provided by Desert Shine and delicious coffee roasted by Joshua Tree Coffee Company to start your morning.

My work: Joe works in the automotive industry, and Kim is a healthcare professional.
We’re Joe and Kim, Seattle natives with a passion for creating your favorite stays in Leavenworth, Seattle and Joshua Tree! It's been our dream to create these spaces for you, which we also enjoy visiting with our friends and family. Our business is Gloc Haus (pronounced "House"): a family-owned and operated collection of properties with a drive for excellent hospitality. We fell in love with hosting when we began operation of our Leavenworth Chalet, located in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State. Being able to share a great home base for mountain adventures with others and hearing so many wonderful stories from our satisfied guests, inspired us to build on our ideas of how great an Airbnb stay could be. Next, we created Belvidere Haus: a custom-built Tiny House in West Seattle. Thoughtfully designed to provide a tranquil experience with a blend of modern and rustic touches, which our guests have adored. Discovering the high-desert of Joshua Tree drew us to the idea of designing a peaceful desert respite: Hi-Desert Haus, a stunning rambler just 10 mins from JTNP entrance. Kim and I are passionate creatives, high-school sweethearts, parents of awesome kids and avid snowboarders. We live life to seek outdoor odysseys with family and friends. In our spare time we love to recondition and recreate spaces, have romantic dates, and photograph our life. We look forward to hosting you at one of our homes for a memorable and comfortable getaway!
