The space
Welcome to the Enchanted Forest Guest Suite! We have tried to create a very unique experience for your stay with us. We're excited to share our forest sanctuary with you and hope that it fills you with joy, peace, and relaxation.
As you walk through private french doors, you will feel right at home in your cozy guest suite. The living room features a comfortable sofa bed couch, a 55 inch smart TV with Roku, and a cozy electric fireplace. The sofa bed has a queen sized mattress, comfortably fitting 2 adults. The Roku TV is in guest mode so feel free to sign into all of your streaming apps!
The kitchenette is equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave, hot plate with a pot and pan, keurig coffee maker, dishes, and silverware. To get you started, we provide complimentary snacks, coffee, tea, sugar, creamers, and flavored syrup. There are grocery stores and local restaurants just a few minutes drive down the road in Nevada City or Grass Valley. Please feel free to ask us about our local restaurant recommendations.
Walking into your private, master suite you will be welcomed by beautiful wisteria hanging from the ceiling creating a whimsical experience. At night, snuggle into your queen sized bed and open your window to the peaceful sounds of the forest. For the remote worker, there is a desk and a comfy velvet chair to use! We have very stable internet, so taking zoom calls under the wisteria will surely add a beautiful background!
The private full bathroom is designed to offer everything you might need. We love to travel so we have tried to provide you with all the little details you might have forgotten for your stay with us. If there is anything you might need that we haven’t provided, feel free to reach out to us & we will do our very best to provide!
Your private deck is the perfect place to take in the gorgeous scenery, to relax & reconnect with nature. There is a wood bar with 4 barstools and 2 comfy patio chairs. Sipping your happy hour libation on the deck is a great way to end a day spent hiking, skiing, swimming or exploring this beautiful part of the world. If it's a clear night, you can stargaze from the deck or large yard.
Guest access
Our guests have full access to the Suite. There are (2) locked closets that are used for supplies that are only accessible by the host. Guests have full access to the front yard, & the guest parking area. The upper driveway, back yard & upper deck are reserved for the family living on the top floor.
Other things to note
- The Guest Suite is attached to the main house, which is on the top floor. We will make every effort to minimize noise, but we are a young family and it is possible you may hear us at times, very similar to a hotel! There is also a solid wood locked door separating the suite from the main house to give you privacy and security.
- Quiet times are from 10pm - 7am.
- We are on a septic system, please only natural waste and toilet paper down the toilets.
- Pets: one well-behaved, well socialized dog is welcome at the Suite with an additional $50 pet fee. We kindly request that your dog does not get up on furniture or in beds, in an effort to not destroy linens or furniture and maintain a clean environment for future guests. Pets must never be left unattended in the Suite at any time, whether or not in a kennel crate, without first checking with the host and getting approval. Pets must be under direct supervision if outside the gated deck & leashed if outside the fenced yard. Guests are required to clean up after their pets on the property and the surrounding area. As responsible pet owners, guests accept full responsibility for their pets and any damages caused by the pets during their stay.
- Lastly, this is a very safe area. We do have a full home security system, ring actively recording cameras & flood lights on the perimeter. The entire property is well fenced but keep an eye on any smaller furry friends & small children. We do live in the forest & there is always the possibility you might observe some incredible wildlife. Hi
