Comfy bed for better sleep

The room-darkening shades and extra bedding are loved by guests.
We are halfway between San Francisco and LA with easy access to Highway 101. You will appreciate the ease of settling into this well designed space. You will have your own private parking space, entrance, a well stocked kitchen, as well as a clean organized home. This is a perfect launching spot to explore our scenic coastline, wine country, & coastal cities. For remote workers, it serves as an quiet and private space to work.

The space
You will be greeted to a clean, organized, and quiet home to call yours. This is a well thought out space with the traveler in mind. There are no shared walls between the main house and the cottage. The open floor plan includes an alcove style bedroom and bathroom that is separated from the living room and kitchen by a sliding barn door. The living room is bright and relaxing while the kitchen is well stocked for those who like to cook. Whether you're just passing through or you want a relaxing getaway along the scenic coast, we’d love to share our home with you as you visit the Central Coast.

Guest access
This flat has a private entrance. One off-street parking space is located directly in front of the unit for easy access. There is not shared space between main house and flat.

Other things to note
* I offer flexible self check- in to guests arriving late. I do silence my phone 9pm-6am.

* I provide complimentary filtered water, coffee, tea, sugar, cream, basic spices, olive oil, and complimentary snacks for my guests.

* Friday is trash day. Monday our gardener works on the property 2-3 pm.

* In an effort to keep parking issues from arising with our neighbors, we request that you use the parking space directly in front of your front entrance as your off-street parking space. If you have two cars, you can pull one car in and then park another car parallel to this space.

* Be considerate of energy use. We are pleased to provide a very efficient HVAC system to heat and cool the cottage. Please turn off the heater/ac when you leave the cottage. Upon return, your space will heat or cool quickly with the efficient system.

Our property is centrally located in safe neighborhood. Easy access to the 101 freeway. We are two miles away from the beach and a mile away from the Village of Arroyo Grande. Within walking distance, our neighborhood has bakeries, coffee shops, a variety of dining choices (from fine dining to convenience dining and everything in between), grocery stores, and even a brewery! Only minutes drive away, we have a plethora of State beaches (Oceano, Grover, Pismo, Avila), dozens of local wineries, and Lopez Lake. We boast many scenic hikes for all levels and wonderful biking trails along the coast.

I have been blessed to have married my best friend, who remains to be my 'better half' till this day. After thirty years of marriage, we find ourselves at a crossroads. We have raised three beautiful children in this wonderful community and we now have the liberty to focus on other interests. We love where we live and we would love to share our Central Coast lifestyle with others. After hosting friends and family over the years, we were often asked if we'd consider opening a Bed and Breakfast, we finally decided that we could open up our guest cottage to others who want to explore the Central Coast. We believe there is no place like the Central Coast, and we're proud to call it home. Pretty much if we're not enjoying hiking, paddle boarding, beachcombing, swimming, or biking, we are breaking bread and drinking wine with our loved ones. We have built our lives around the four F's: family, friends, fellowship, and food. Our motto: If you have nothing in life but a good friend, you are rich. Our travels have taken us all over the continental US: the Western Seaboard, the Eastern Seaboard, the Southwest, the Pacific Northwest, British Columbia, Hawaii, Costa Rica, as well as Mexico.
