Want to beat the traffic? Book for Sunday arrival or departure! The unit is a third floor walkup. The pool is seasonal and subject to HOA opening.

We are continuing in 2025 with our reduced cleaning fee and very short check out list! We don't pay less, but with everything costing more these days we want you to have more money for the fun stuff, so we're absorbing the majority of the cleaning cost. We do not add admin fees or additional fees per person after the price you see. We don't think that's fair, so we offer a clear pricing structure with a clear nightly rate. The only "extra" fees you will pay are to Airbnb, not us. We are simply a family who loves the beach and wants to share our home with you! We are not a big company with multiple properties. We enjoy hosting other families, fishermen, and wedding weekends and we look forward to hosting you.
Located in Pirate's Cove Resort, in Manteo NC, this condo features high vaulted ceilings, a cozy beach theme, is allergy-friendly (no pets, sorry!), and non-smoking! The condo is thoroughly cleaned and inspected, with photos taken, after each guest - if pets or smoking is noticed, we reserve the right to charge a large deep cleaning fee in order to keep our other guests with allergies safe.
Our check out list is short - simply remove all opened food and drinks from the refrigerator and cupboards, empty all trash into the dumpster outside, put all towels and washcloths in one tub. Then just sign out of your streaming apps, and lock the door behind you! Sounds nice, eh? Comfy patio seating greets you on the deck for those quiet mornings watching the sunrise, listening to the ducks in their ponds, and having that super important first sip of coffee. The panoramic views of the Roanoke Sound from master bedroom, living room, dining area, and covered deck are breathtaking. The unit is a third floor walkup.
Pool, hot tub, and snack bar are seasonal - generally open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Closures are unfortunately out of our control and managed by the HOA.
There are 2 Bedrooms:
Main bedroom with King sized memory foam mattress, 32 inch flat screen TV with Roku, large closet and private access door to balcony with screen door.
Second bedroom includes a traditional-style pillow top queen mattress, 32 inch flat screen Roku TV, and large closet.
Two bathrooms include one full en suite in the King BR and one full hall bath.
Condo also includes highspeed wireless internet throughout. Sign into the TVs and stream to your hearts content! (Logins required for streaming services.) No cable is provided - go to the beach! We also provide several board games, puzzles, and a few books to enjoy while you're here.
Covered balcony/deck with furniture to relax or eat outside.
Outdoor shower located on the ground level of the building; walking docks, picnic areas, pool, fitness/rec center, restaurant and tiki bar,
tennis/pickleball courts are all within walking distance.
This unit comes with 25' of dock space to park your boat, as well as electricity and water. Boats must be registered with the HOA before your arrival. Note: trailer parking is ONLY allowed under the carport or at an off-site facility. Parking for 2 vehicles maximum, one covered. There is a free boat launch across the street from Pirates Cove at the Washington Baum Bridge Boat Ramp. Then just continue through the sound to the dock and you're all set!
What do we provide? What do you need to bring?
Our cleaners provide a starter set of necessities:
1 roll of TP per bathroom
bar soap and liquid soap
1 roll of paper towels
dishwashing liquid/dishwasher pod
We used to provide a larger supply of these items, but unfortunately we had a few folks clean us out last year.
Linens are also supplied: 6 towels, washcloths and face cloths are provided for each stay as well as clean, comfy linens for the beds.
Bring your own beach towels! You are, of course, welcome to launder them in the provided washer/dryer before leaving.
We offer a Keurig and traditional drip coffee maker.
TRAVEL INSURANCE: Travel insurance is strongly recommended and very affordable. The Owner or booking platform does not provide travel insurance and the cancellation policy at the time of your booking will stand with the only exception being a mandatory evacuation, in which case the requirements of the Vacation Rental Act of NC will apply. Travel insurance is available by third-party providers and it is intended to protect guests in the event of unforeseen circumstances that cause cancellation or interruption of the vacation rental period. It is highly recommended that you purchase “cancel for any reason” travel insurance so that all of your bases are covered.
Guest access
Check in at the front gate with the security officer where you will be given a parking pass for vehicles (2 vehicles max.) If you are bringing a boat, your boat will be given a pass as well.
You will be sent the access code to the door lock the day of check-in via the airbnb platform.
Other things to note
Small children are allowed outside of the 4 guest max, provided that they sleep in a pack n play, portable crib, etc. Pack n plays, highchairs, etc are not provided by the unit/homeowner/Pirates Cove.
