Brunate is a private retreat in the mountains of El Trifinio, created for groups looking to slow down and reconnect with nature in a more authentic way. Set within Finca El Conacaste beside Montecristo National Park, guests can enjoy a sauna, spring-fed pools, bonfires and outdoor activities.

The space
El Conacaste extends across approximately 200 manzanas (140 hectares) of private forest, coffee fields, trails, viewpoints, and natural spaces throughout the mountains of El Trifinio.

The cabins were designed to coexist with the surrounding environment, using wood, stone, and clay sourced directly from the farm.

Your stay includes access to:
• Hiking trails and seasonal waterfall visits
• A 4 line zipline experience
• Outdoor activities like badminton and croquet
• Birdwatching
• The temazcal experience with sauna, cold plunge, and hot soaking tub

Víctor or Juan, our on-site hosts, will be available during your stay to help with the temazcal, fire pit, fireplace, or guide you through different areas of the farm.

The temazcal experience was created as a space for rest and renewal: the warmth of the sauna, followed by a cold plunge and a hot soaking tub to finish relaxing.

For logistical reasons in the mountains, guests should bring their own towels for the stay, especially for the pool areas and waterfall.

Access to the property requires a 4x4 vehicle due to the steep road conditions. If needed, we can also help coordinate local transportation to the cabin at an additional cost.

Tap water comes directly from a natural spring and is safe to drink. If you prefer, you may bring your own bottled water.

8. What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 11:00 am and check-out is at 4:00 pm.

Yes, we are pet-friendly. We kindly ask that pets are supervised at all times and that you clean up after them to help keep the space in great condition.

Yes, a barbecue grill is available. Please bring your own charcoal.

Each guest should bring their own towel. Bed linens are provided, although you’re welcome to bring your favorite blanket for colder nights.

The infinity pool is filled with cold mountain spring water coming directly from the mountains of El Trifinio. The water runs continuously day and night.
