JamieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Alessandro and Jayson’s place. The home was spotless, and Alessandro and Jayson were very warm and welcoming. Jayson was very sweet and made us coffee when we were having trouble with the espresso machine :) the home was also spotless and had everything we needed (including iron and nail polish remover)! Thanks Alessandro and Jayson!

Steam, Sauna, Luxury, Eagle Dancer, Garden Studio.

StefanyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The views are beyond belief! We spent an entire day, after a morning hike, just hanging out in the property and staring at the magnificent scenery from many different view point on the land. Don’t miss the swing in the “parking lot” for stargazing! There are Buddhas and fountains literally everywhere on the property. Bed was very comfortable. We staying in the garden studio. My only complaint was that people were staying above us so there was some noise from suitcases being rolled early in the morning. Most of the time it felt like we had the entire property to ourselves.

This was THE best little casita - very clean, comfy, well-appointed. I dare say this might be my favorite place i have ever stayed! Loved the neighborhood, loved the back yard, loved all the woods around the casita. Jim & Lynne were very accommodating, friendly, and did all they could to make us feel at home. We will be back !

Sundance: The infinity pool is just the beginning!

SamanthaRating, 5 starstoday
Jeff and Serena were very informative on house instructions as well as local recommendations. The house exceeded expectations, it was a peaceful oasis. We had a great time hiking, taking a pink jeep tour, shopping, and relaxing at the house in the pool and hot tub. The best way to start your day is watching the fish in the Koi pond and the birds at the numerous feeders. We hope to be back again someday soon to visit! Highly recommend, one of my best Air B&B experiences.

Loved the location and ability to walk downtown safely by myself. Enjoyed this as a landing spot to travel to the Grand Canyon, Walnut Canyon and Sunset Crater National Parks. Still so many things to see and do and would love to come back!! Jon was very proactive and had some great information posted regarding attractions and then the guest book was another good source of suggestions for local attractions.

Peaceful Condo in heart of Old Town Scottsdale

AlannaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Had a fabulous stay in Scottsdale! The unit is spacious, and the pool area is beautiful and peaceful! There are so many loungers and it was very quiet when we were there. At times we had it all to ourselves! There is covered outdoor parking and the location is fabulous to walk or take a golf cart taxi to Old Town. Check in and out was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again.

House on the Edge of Time

LisaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Truly a work of art and a labor of love. I so appreciate Jessie sharing her home. She does a great job maintaining the property. She is friendly and responsive. She lives next door but you wouldn’t know unless you need her. (Which is comforting when you’re on the edge of time.)The place is very private and peaceful. She does a great job of explaining the challenges such as climbing thru the doorways so yes it’s not for everyone. For those who are interested…you will love it! Also, I booked this home because it looked so beautiful. I had no idea the the town of Jerome would be so interesting. So much history and creative energy. I really enjoyed exploring Jerome and the bonus was you could walk into town from the house. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an unique experience.

Overlook - On a Mountainside: Views! Pool, Hot tub

TrevorRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This has been my second stay at Howie's place. I was just as impressed the second time as I was the first. The landscaping is beautiful as well as the sunsets and sunrises. It is a place that you can sit and chill by the pool, or sit in a lounge chair under shade. There are plenty of birds flying around the Saguaro cactus, and other wildlife such as rabbits to watch while sitting enjoying a cup of coffee. I highly recommend this place.

Ranchito Paraiso: Pet-friendly Rustic Elegance

JackieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Wow, we can't say enough wonderful things about this Airbnb and pet sanctuary. Kareva took time to tell us about her pet rescue farm. The kasita is decorated in rustic tones and fits in well with the area. Eating at the kitchen bar looking out onto the farm animals as they go about their day is a bonus. The rescue dogs, goats, pigs of assorted sizes and shapes, and the mischievous donkeys are endearing. Kareva, the host, responds and resolves any issue quickly. A must do, if you are in the area. We recommend this to one looking for a retreat to enjoy the surrounding areas of interest within relatively short drives for day trips. Nearby is a grocery store and Walmart. We dined at Mi Casa, fantastic, but note limited days of operation. Five stars out of 5, for accommodations, ambiance, host response and engagement, day trip opportunities (see the National Parks). Thank you Kareva for being a wonderful host and your heart for providing a sanctuary for the sweet animals! J & L

Your guide to Arizona

All About Arizona

Arizona is in the southwest of the United States on the Mexican border, home to the sprawling Kaibab National Forest with its towering pines, lively music venues in Tucson, the Roosevelt Row Arts District in state capital Phoenix, and several Native American reservations. The state’s terrain spans the grassy prairies of the Patagonia region, rock formations carved by the elements at Chiricahua National Monument, and the limestone peaks framed by big skies in Sedona.

World-famous Route 66 runs through Flagstaff, while rugged red rock dominates the sweeping landscapes of Grand Canyon National Park and Monument Valley. Outdoors adventures abound, from exploring epic canyons to teeing off at golf events to watching the big hitters at baseball spring training. Arizona’s multiple dark sky parks draw stargazers, the north of the state boasts excellent conditions for skiing in the colder months, and the blue-green waters of Havasu Falls make a striking contrast with their rust-hued surroundings.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Arizona

Alongside its vast desert and sweeping plains, Arizona is also home to high elevations and towering mountain ranges, which make winter prime time for skiing and snowboarding. This means that cabin rentals in Arizona are a popular choice in the colder months. Spring brings balmy temperatures in the high desert, when cacti burst into bloom and baseball season governs. As summer rolls around indoor activities become ever more popular due to soaring temperatures. The summer heat can be intense here, and sun protection and water are advised when doing anything outdoors. Fall brings some of the best weather of the year with sunny days and comfortable temperatures, making it a great time to explore some of the state’s abundant natural beauty — check out the changing foliage as it creeps down the San Francisco Peaks north of Flagstaff.

Top things to do in Arizona

Sedona

Sedona boasts some of the state’s most jaw-dropping landscapes. Surrounded by imposing red rock formations, pillars, and buttes, this striking natural landscape almost looks man-made, while the desert town’s surrounding Verde Valley wine region and crystal stores draw an eclectic crowd of epicureans and visitors in search of Sedona’s reputed spiritual energy. Dusty trails dotted with yucca plants sit alongside a bounty of public artwork and sculptures in the Gallery District.

Grand Canyon National Park

Where the Little Colorado River meets its bigger namesake in the northwest of Arizona, the towering layers of sedimentary rock and deep gorges of the Grand Canyon National Park extend over 250 miles and date back billions of years. Established in 1919, the park’s South Rim remains one of the more popular access points and is home to Yavapai Geology Museum, which also provides excellent vantage points from large picture windows. The panoramic, rust-colored views from Mather Point and Desert View Drive are the stuff of legend and the subject of countless movies.

Canyon de Chelly National Monument

Established in 1931, Canyon de Chelly National Monument dates back much further — it stands as one of North America’s longest continuously inhabited landscapes, spanning deep-orange sandstone cliffs, vertiginous spires, and plunging valleys dotted with vegetation. Ancestral Puebloans and Navajos carved dwellings out of the red rock centuries ago, sheltered by the towering cliffs, and the Navajo community still raises livestock in the canyons.
