Home in Northwest Washington
5 out of 5 average rating, 8 reviewsNew Cozy Home In NW DC Sleeps 12
We had a very nice time. It comfortably slept all 11 of us, between the beds, pullout couch, and the air mattresses. The roof deck was a great little space to hang out.

Karen’s home is so nice and she is a wonderful host! She gave us a tour of the space when we arrived and was so kind and helpful. The neighborhood is quiet and not too far from everything in Alexandria and DC. We would definitely stay with her again when we come back to the area!

Amazing location, charming house, great to relax after full day of walking and sightseeing. Grocery shops and restaurants nearby. Both Scott and Maggie were quick to respond and solve any issue we might have. We felt like at home instantly and enjoyed the charming neighbourhood.

Home in Annandale
4.8 out of 5 average rating, 126 reviewsGorgeous Chateau Style Home/Mansion
It's spacious and clean. Everything here is wonderful. Just one suggestion that restrooms should have locks as it was inconvenient for our separate families. Anyway, we enjoyed our stays and strongly recommend to this place. Chau was amazing. She was excellent in communication and responding. We were pleased with her great service. Thank you very much.
Home in Northwest Washington
4.87 out of 5 average rating, 200 reviewsDC Row home w/private apt by Rock Creek Park
This is an interim trip, to stay away from the hurricane, I sent the reservation request at midnight, and I totally understand that must be a lot of things for Jennifer to do before we check in. And she did, she helped a lot. She was very friendly and enthusiastic to provide help. We really appreciate that, the whole trip had a lot of things happened, and Jennifer added warmth into it.
Washington apartment rentals
Rental unit in Dupont Circle
4.92 out of 5 average rating, 294 reviewsBright, Luxurious, Apartment in the Heart of DC
Maricel's place in person is even better than the stunning pictures. The number of windows makes the place so bright and you are looking out at beautiful buildings. The parking spot was a major plus. We found the stay to be quiet and peaceful. We walked safely through beautiful treelined streets in every direction. There are numerous restaurants, bars and shopping within blocks. Maricel was an exceptional host. We were in contact quite a bit. She responded quickly and clearly. We will be back!
Rental unit in Old Town
4.94 out of 5 average rating, 356 reviewsHuge Studio/Temp Control Mattress/Free Parking
Sean’s place was just as advertised — charming private studio location with access to various Old Town Alexandria locations. The studio was just as pictured, clean, and spacious. Sean was very communicative ahead of the visit and as needed. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.
Rental unit in Georgetown
5 out of 5 average rating, 117 reviewsGeorgetown 1-BR-Apt #1 -450 SF (Near Campus)
Holly was a kind and highly responsive host. The place was meticulously clean, modern and comfortable in an unbeatable location . We were only a couple of blocks from Georgetown University and M Street. I’ve already tried to book for another stay during graduation week, but it was already booked!
Rental unit in Capitol Hill
4.98 out of 5 average rating, 138 reviewsPrivate Lower Apartment in Historic Capitol Hill

Rental unit in Northwest Washington
5 out of 5 average rating, 118 reviewsContemporary, Spacious 1-Bedroom
LilliAnn is a perfect host—welcoming, attentive and caring. It is no coincidence that all of her guests have rated her home 5 stars on Airbnb! The apartment has a side entrance, so it is more private than most basement apartments. The decoration is beautiful and the apartment is extremely clean with good amenities. LilliAnn prepared a welcoming board with our names written on it, asked us what snacks and drinks we preferred and proceeded to stock up the fridge full with water, beer and other soft drinks as well as a range of snacks—such a welcoming gesture from a generous host! She also regularly checks in on us to see what else we need. One word on the layout of the apartment: the bedroom is not enclosed—a semi wall separates the sleeping area from the living room. It doesn’t matter to us and we would gladly return here on our next DC trip. Thank you LilliAnn for everything and we’ll set aside more time to chat with you next time!
Rental unit in Adams Morgan

Charlotte at Bubo's was outstanding. I was in a last minute bind and she came to the rescue. She was very communicative and responded in a very timely fashion. The messages sent were very clear and precise how to check in, what was available in the apartment, how to use the items in the apartment and how to check out. Though I did not need "local information" it was provided and would be very useful for anyone staying in the area and planning to tour, get around and dine. I highly recommend Bubo.

This AirBnB was a home away from home! Everything was nice and laid out. They had a parking pass for the street to use for our car, and we appreciated the little snacks. 💕 Our kiddo loved the board games they had! When staying in, we didn’t need to worry about finding things to do. And when we had fun things planned, we loved how close everything was to this location! 🫶 Overall, we felt very safe and had a lovely time. We can’t wait to plan our next trip to visit, and hope to stay here again!! 🙏💕

We enjoyed an excellent stay at Sharisse's apartment, and would stay again. Sharisse accommodated a late check-in, and provided clear instructions, which made it very easy. Parking was easy and and close (under a tree so birds might leave a surprise.) The beds were very comfortable, and the apartment relaxing. Thank you Sharisse!
Condo in Northeast Washington

Rayna’s home was clean, comfortable, beautifully designed, and full of beautiful furniture pieces. Check in was simple and easy. I felt safe and secure inside/out of the unit. The rooftop has a wonderful view and will be great once fully setup. I was weary over using Airbnb again after multiple negative experiences but this trip was phenomenal. The beds are super comfortable. My only critique was that I used my XFINITY WiFi (through a local hotspot) versus the unit’s WiFi. During my stay it was having slow speeds and a lot of intermittence that made it difficult to use, even after restarting. Still a 5/5 star review but would have been more dicey if I brought my laptop to get work done.

Your guide to Washington
Introduction
The lure of Washington, DC, is no doubt in its role as a living museum of American history, packed with monuments showcasing the nation’s greatest leaders (from Abraham Lincoln to Martin Luther King Jr.) as well as museums honoring the diversity of our nation (such as the National Museum of the American Indian and the National Museum of African American History and Culture). But beyond the historical and cultural landmarks is a city filled with a vibrant street life all its own, whether you’re in trendy NoMa, historic Logan Circle, green-space haven Woodley Park, or eclectic Adams Morgan.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Washington
DC is best known for its spring, when its show of blooms is celebrated with the National Cherry Blossom Festival in late March and early April. Temperatures tend to hit highs in the mid-60s Fahrenheit then, with lows in the 40s. October brings the same weather, but with fall foliage and nippy breezes. Summers are humid (no, it’s not because the city is built on a swamp — that’s simply folklore). Muggy temperatures in the 80s can feel icky, so opt for lightweight clothes and sunscreen. Winters tend to be the low travel season for booking vacation rentals since temperatures float between the 20s and 40s. Always keep an eye out for rain, as precipitation is spread throughout the year.
Top things to do in Washington
National Mall
The epicenter of American pride is no doubt this two-mile-long stretch of open space, with the Lincoln Memorial on the west, Capitol Hill on the east, the White House to the north, Jefferson Memorial to the south, and the 555-foot-tall Washington Monument in the center. Other notable sites include the Korean War Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial. Also peppered along the way are several of the Smithsonian museums (all with free admission), including the National Air and Space Museum, National Portrait Gallery, and National Museum of African American History and Culture.
Georgetown
In DC’s oldest neighborhood, stroll along the waterfront walkways of both the Potomac River and C&O Canal and enjoy the restaurants and nightlife, perhaps at the tavern where John F. Kennedy proposed to Jacqueline Kennedy in 1953 or a 1960s-era jazz club modeled after ones from the 1920s.
Dupont Circle
This lively neighborhood for shopping, dining, and nightlife is named after its center, a metropolitan traffic circle with a fountain and a new underground art space. Dupont Circle is also the perfect starting point for a self-guided tour along the quarter’s Embassy Row.
