Bright Central 3Brd Apt near Guting mrt *NTNU NTU*

Avalon AmiraRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a really nice time here. The place was bright, clean and spacious. I needed an iron and they got that for me immediately. Check in was smooth and we could come a bit early which was very convenient. We had a wifi issue and someone was sent over right away to resolve it. All was good. Ubers come there fast. The water machine didn't yield room temperature water, only hot, but they needed time to fix it, so that was fair. Wifi was fast, good air con in the rooms. This place is central. We could get a pass at the nearby gym, true fitness. And there are good cafes and restaurants nearby.

MRT Ximen 5 mins "Plums"月租西門

Yong LiangRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Host Emillie and Brad has been very responsive and proactive with their responses. Step by step guide provided to reach the place which make it easy for first timer like me to locate the place. Brad recommended alot of great local restaurants and places to visit near the area. Location very near to Ximending, close to metro green and red line, very convenient. There is a 7-11 store downstairs which you can buy most of the stuff you need if you forgot to bring anything. Room is very clean and looks much better in real life than the photos. Toilet with bidget, washing machine and heater to dry clothes. Definitely will rent with them again if visiting Taiwan again. I enjoyed my stay there alot.

Shu was a great host who went out of her way to insure that I had a comfortable stay. She was responsive throughout my stay and even helped to arrange transportation to the airport. The place is also a great base to explore Taipei as it was close to the subway stop and I was easily able to get to most places I wanted to see. The neighborhood is very quite and peaceful and exactly as described.

Dotinn was an amazing host (along with their co-hosts)! The apartment was located centrally near Taipei Main Station so it was super convenient to get to other parts of the city via bus or MRT. Additionally, there were a good amount of restaurants and shops nearby so I was able to buy essentials through all hours of the day. Dotinn was super communicative, giving proactive recommendations for the area and checking in throughout my stay. A very pleasant and great experience. I would stay here again the next time I’m in Taipei!

Tamsui Hongshulin Station 1min/Bus Station 1min/Near Freshwater/Couple Celebration Family Trip/Newly Renovated

LittleRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We love this place so much. It provides more stuff than we ask for. Bathroom is exceptional. Air conditioner works very well. And Cherry is very generous to let us check in early and check out late. Very very helpful. There was a wash machine accident, and Cherry helped to solve it really quickly. The only complaint we have is more about the environment. The pedestrian is on the street where cars drive very fast on. It is not very safe to push a stroller on, so we didn’t go there too much. We mostly take MRT one stop to 淡水 and take a wonderful walk. Anyway, many thanks to this place. Hope whoever live here will have a good time too.

Your guide to Taipei

All About Taipei

Taipei is a city that excites the senses — take in the sounds of rushing traffic and vendors hawking their wares at markets, the smells and tastes of delectable street food on every corner, and the sight of ornate temples alongside modern skyscrapers. Taiwan’s capital is famous for its vibrant night markets found all over the city, where you’ll be able to try delicacies like grilled squid, fried chicken, and oyster omelets. The most famous street food is probably stinky tofu — fried and fermented tofu on a stick with chili. Taiwan’s national dish is pickled vegetable beef noodle soup, which is celebrated with an annual festival and can be found in almost any local restaurant.

Taipei is a mix of the modern and the historical, and you’ll find one of the tallest buildings in the world alongside traditional temples. The Longshan Temple is one of the city’s oldest, while the impressive Bao’an Temple is the most lavish. At the National Palace Museum you’ll find the world’s largest collection of Chinese artifacts.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Taipei

Spring is a great time to secure a vacation rental in Taipei as it brings warm, sunny days, and the colorful cherry blossoms are in full bloom in the city’s parks. Summers are sweltering and humid and coincide with typhoon season, so the likelihood of storms is high. The Dragon Boat Festival takes place in June and is one of the city’s biggest annual events, with dragon boat races held all over the city, accompanied by festivities. The rain starts to peter out in the fall when you can expect warm days for exploring the city. The Moon Festival falls around late September or early October, during which it is tradition to enjoy a moonlight barbeque and moon cakes, which are made from red bean and egg. Winter is the driest season in Taipei, and temperatures do cool down, but it’s still mild enough to be outdoors. Lunar New Year falls between late January and early February, and the city comes alive with parades, costumes, and festivities.

Top things to do in Taipei

The Shilin Night Market

Wander around Taipei’s largest night market, with endless stalls packed into a maze of winding alleys selling clothes, jewelry, and local souvenirs. You’ll find vendors cooking up dishes with a dizzying array of goodies to try. Or you can head underground to the Market Food Court, considered to be one of the best places to eat in the city. Try the fried buns, dim sum, and the infamous stinky tofu.

National Palace Museum

Visit the city’s most important museum, where you’ll find nearly 700,000 ancient pieces from multiple dynasties, including treasured paintings, calligraphy, bronze statues, ceramics, and possibly the most famous piece — Jadeite Cabbage, a small statuette shaped like a bok choy cabbage carved from a single piece of delicate green and white jade.

Taipei 101

Taipei 101 has only recently been surpassed as the world’s tallest building, and its elevator is one of the fastest you’ll step foot in. The ride up to the 89th-floor viewing deck takes just 37 seconds, and once the lift doors open, you’ll be rewarded with incredible views of the city. The building stands high above any other in the city, so you can see for miles in any direction.
