Great place with a great layout. Close in walking distance to many establishments and we always felt safe. Patrick was an exceptional host who allowed us to stay an additional few hours to get our bearings after a non-airbnb related emergency. Highly recommend!

This was a great place to stay for our little vacation. Sarah was very nice and responsive. Made sure we had everything we needed and even accommodated us for an early check-in! We left a blanket and Sarah said she would mail it to us. Very great hosts! We will for sure be staying here again when we decide to come back to the area!

Stunning Vintage/Modern! Brady St! Tons of Extras

ParkerRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was the perfect place to spend a quick night in Milwaukee before heading to Green Bay for the weekend. It was a bit tight for 8, but would still be a bargain for 6 people. The back porch was a great gathering spot once everyone made it into town and it was less than a 10 min ride to Carnevor for dinner

I had a wonderful stay at Michael’s apartment. What makes this apartment really stand out is the little details - first aid kit, feminine hygiene products - that are stocked in case of emergencies. The apartment was very clean and cozy and located in a great neighborhood with lots to do.

Cory’s place is a gem! We loved staying in this condo. Walking to great places around, close to the beach and enjoying the beautifully decorated space. Every detail in this place is thoughtfully located and curated. I was able to add one more guest that joined us after booking and had a nice exchange with Cory. She is a FANTASTIC host, my experience here reminded me why I like staying in Airbnb, due to the human connections you can make :) and of course, the unique places that you get so appreciate. Thanks Cory and hope to be back one day 🤙

We had a great stay. The place looks better than the pictures. Very homey, nice furniture, comfortable bed and sofa bed. Didn’t get to try the bean bag as a bed, but that would have been fun. Sauna was a nice addition. Easily walkable to many restaurants. Close to other sites in Milwaukee. Ryan gave lots of recommendations. Everything was easy, clearly marked and helpful. Nice to have the parking link in the welcome instructions. Would come here again!

The apartment was great and suited our needs for our stay in Milwaukee. It was a quick trip (7-15 min by car) to many of the museums (Betty Brinn, Discovery World, Milwaukee Public Museum) that we visited, which was great since we had to come back quick for nap time with my 1 year old and then went out again in the afternoon. My son was obsessed with the toys provided. We visited Humboldt park multiple times (there is a GREAT playground!) and would have gone more if we got less rainy mornings.

Bright & Stylish Bayview Lower – Easy Parking

I have worked in hospitality and grew up in a B&B. All of this to say, Jax place was seriously top notch and I highly recommend anyone looking for a getaway in MKE to stay there. The space is a vibe, the amenities are great and it was absolutely spotless. I was really impressed by this place especially considering the cost. It’s not directly downtown by very close by car, walkable to several great restaurants and bars but far enough to stay quiet. I would come back here in a heartbeat!

MKE#210 - Explore Downtown/Fiserve/3rd ward/River

BradleyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Accomations exceeded my expectations. I was in town working the tattoo convention. I loved how everything was secure and walkable, also a shot out to the city of Milwaukee for being so clean and I highly recommend utilizing the Lime scooters to zip around on. EExcellent way to see the city. The apartment was clean, bigger than I expected and very comfortable for a 4 day stay downtown, parking was secure so I felt at ease leaving equipment in the car, more than enough restaurants, museums, and sight seeing around the lake very close in proximity to the apartment. Airbnb is the way to go I won't be staying in a hotel ever again. thank you Airbnb and hosts for such a great stay and first experience in Milwaukee.

Your guide to Milwaukee

All About Milwaukee

Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s largest urban area, is a vibrant Great Lakes city that retains its industrial past while pouring energy and investment into the cultural life of its distinctive neighborhoods, its charming downtown with late 19th-century buildings, and its waterfront district with views of Lake Michigan. Three rivers — the Milwaukee, the Kinnickinnic, and the Menomonee — pass through town, and you can kayak and canoe along the urban river trails. During the summer, enjoy a swim in the crisp Lake Michigan water at Bradford Beach.

The Old World Third Street Historic District is the best place to immerse yourself in Milwaukee’s German roots. You’ll want to come hungry to this area of town, home to restaurants serving Bavarian favorites like wiener schnitzel and bratwurst. The Milwaukee Public Market is an indoor marketplace with 20 local vendors selling craft cheeses, fresh seafood, and prepared foods. Just outside the city center, you can spend hours wandering through the historic neighborhoods of the Lower East Side or Murray Hill, admiring the Victorian homes.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Milwaukee

Milwaukee experiences extreme weather conditions, and although the temperature changes drastically throughout the year, there is plenty to do indoors and outside, making it a great year-round destination. The summer is a perfect time to visit Milwaukee’s beautiful waterfront, as the longer days are hot and, in late July through early September, humid. Spring in Wisconsin moves from melting snow and slush to wildflowers around April, and from late September through the end of November, you’ll see the city splashed with the colors of autumn leaves. Winters are cold, with freezing winds coming off the lake, so make sure you bring warm outerwear. You’ll want to browse museums then, try German beers along the Old World Third Street Historic District, or even test out your cross-country skis in the outlying parks.

Top things to do in Milwaukee

Milwaukee Public Museum

This museum of natural and human history has three floors filled with more than 4 million artifacts, making it the largest museum in Wisconsin. Experience interactive exhibits where you can walk in the footsteps of dinosaurs, stroll through the streets of Old Milwaukee, check out a recreated European village, or learn about the ancient crossroads of Europe, Africa, and Asia. You can also visit the planetarium.

Milwaukee RiverWalk

Once a thriving industrial area, the banks of the Milwaukee River are now home to a pedestrian path lined with bars, restaurants, and gardens. Starting at the historic Pierhead Lighthouse, the Milwaukee RiverWalk stretches an impressive 20 blocks through downtown. During the warmer months, the restaurant patios along the boardwalk hum with diners.

National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum

Home to more than 6,500 bobbleheads that date back decades, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum is one of the city’s quirkiest attractions. Search for bobbleheads of your favorite baseball players, actors, cartoon characters, and politicians. You can also learn about the history of bobbleheads and how they are made.
