La Biblioteca: Eclectic Cottage in OKeeffe Country

GeorginaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I just adored this place and my stay there. It was charming, tidy, clean -- and the view was spectacular. (There are houses nearby, but the view is uninterrupted, with a sightline all the way to the Pedernal.) That bathroom is a work of art. The kitchen -- and its vintage stove -- was perfect for making simple dinners. I've been to the area many times and am always surprised by how much there is to do, despite Abiquiu being a tiny dot on the map. I felt immediately at home as soon as I walked into the casita. I didn't want to leave and hope to come back.

SusanneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Off-The-Beaten-Path is a fabulous place to stay! It's away from town but still close to wherever you want to be. The host is super and responds quickly to your questions. Bring your pups because this wonderful home is so dog-friendly. Highly recommended by someone who has traveled to Taos since the early 80s!!!

Phoenix East Wing - Experience off-grid luxury

WendyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The Earthship was the most interesting, unique space we have ever stayed. The greenhouse space makes you feel like you are in a tropical forest in the middle of a desert! The plants provided a peaceful space to relax and be with loved ones. We enjoyed sitting outdoors on the patio at night, counting the shooting stars and satellites we witnessed overhead. Our stay was also an educational experience, learning about how the Earthship operates, and discoveriing how we can use technology to save resources. We highly recommend renting this unique accommodation for a getaway like no other!

Gorgeous Historic Adobe. Walk to plaza. week/month

KendalRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Linda's place is charming and filled with interesting antiques and artwork. You feel you've stepped into another quieter, more peaceful, time when you open the gate to the courtyard. The home is comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing visit. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly and it is an easy walk to the Plaza, to restaurants, shopping, and museums. Linda is a stellar host. Her directions to find the AirBnB were proactive and clear, acknowledging that house numbers are out of order and that Google maps will lead you astray. If you stay at Linda's place, try to arrive during daylight hours so you can see the house numbers. We found them to be difficult to see (along with street signs) at night. People in the neighborhood, and everywhere we went in Santa Fe, were very friendly. Whole Foods and Sprouts are a short drive away and many restaurants are in walking distance. We will definitely stay here when we return to Santa Fe.

Round Retreat by the River- Safe from Storm

Geoff & JaneRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Claire's Round House was such a treat! Very unique property. Huge windows with AMAZING views. So peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed a walk around the property and met the horses. It's only about 20 minutes to Asheville for great restaurants and breweries. There's also lots of hiking trails nearby. Highly recommend for a get away to unplug and enjoy nature. The house is also very accommodating for dogs, the furniture is covered and there is plenty of room. Very stress free! We enjoyed having our lab with us. Thank you Claire!

We loved our peaceful stay at Feral Farm. Matt was so welcoming and his love of his farm really shone through on the impromptu tour we received on arrival. If you are looking for an off-grid experience in beautiful natural surroundings, this is your place.

Private & Comfortable, Modern Taos Earthship

A very unique experience living in a passive solar home. Interior decorations are like living in an art museum. Solitude is perfect. Local art and mountain trails are beyond any place you have visited. Especially during fall colors.

Cob Bear Hut

DarylRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We had a great stay. The place is very peaceful and relaxing. Walking around the forest paths is wonderful and we enjoyed seeing deer, turkeys, woodpeckers, lizards, etc. My kids also liked the axe throwing game set up down by the sauna. Wifi was good enough to be able to work online and the wood stove in the bedroom kept us warm when the nights were cold. We also really appreciated being able to use the host washer and dryer for our clothes before we left!

High Mountain Desert Earthship with Stunning Views

PjRating, 5 stars3 days ago
I’ve journeyed across the world, chasing whispers of hidden sanctuaries—and here, I found one woven with pure magic. The love infused into the very earthen walls is palpable, as though each stone holds a spell of warmth and wonder. It’s a place beyond imagination, crafted with such grace that even in my wildest dreams, I couldn’t have conjured anything more enchanting.

New Scandi A-Frame Cabin! Views, Hot Tub, Fire Pit

NancyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Unfortunately, because of the horrific flooding in the area, we were not able to stay in Mae's property. I wanted to write a 5-star review because Mae was so wonderful at corresponding with us coming up to our planned visit and even took the time to contact us early the morning we were to arrive to tell us not to come due to flooding/power outages. She went above and beyond to communicate and I appreciate all her efforts!! Thank you Mae!

Bright, Cheery Hobbit Hole and Second Breakfast

ElaineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This place was absolutely magical! Everything about this place was five stars. I was in awe from check in to check out and I didn’t want to leave! The bed was AMAZING and I loved how peaceful it was while I sat and read some books. I really wanted to use the fireplace but it was too hot. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, not just the Hobbit fans. I can’t wait to book again and show everyone!

Hobbit Hideaway- Do Something Different!

MattRating, 5 stars2 days ago
The dome was unique and cozy and stocked with the things you want in an ABnB (comfy furniture, plenty of hot water, coffee, utensils, etc...) The host goes above and beyond by stocking firewood and encouraging use of the firepit and grill. It's close to Table Rock State Park and other hiking, Traveler's Rest and Greenville. Perfect place to get away and yet still be a close enough drive to restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend.
