The Black House is a wonderful home. It is ideal for mountain biking at MSA. The outdoor storage is perfect for securing bikes, and proximity to trails is awesome. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Home in Sainte-Marguerite
4.97 out of 5 average rating, 254 reviewsAt the corner of the garden - Complete accommodation (CITQ - 304850)
This was just a stop over for the night but the host was very responsive and helpful with the directions to the house. The house was clean and the property was very beautiful and peaceful. We were greeted by some deer eating apples from the tree they have on the property and it’s always nice to see wildlife like that. There are no blinds on the main floor as an fyi but not an issue for our stay. I would still stay again and give 5 stars for this stay as well as it was nice and peaceful and everything we needed.

Rental unit in La Cité-Limoilou
4.85 out of 5 average rating, 356 reviewsPerfect space in heart of Quebec
Almost everything about Charlotte’s place was perfect. Very clean, private, quiet, but close to an amazing neighborhood. Bathroom and kitchen were great. Only downside is that the bed wasn’t the most comfortable and the sofa could use a clean. All in all, great place though! Thank you Charlotte!

4.94 out of 5 average rating, 326 reviews201- OLD QUEBEC Lofts Ste-Anne 4 pers (4 people)
We were very pleased with our stay in the Lofts of Ste. Anne. It had what we needed for a safe, relaxing and fun trip in Quebec City. The location could not be any more centrally located with the Chateau Frontenac a couple blocks away and dozens of restaurants within a block's walk. The unit was not very large, but more than spacious for the 2 of us. It might be a little tight for 4 given there is only one bathroom & 2 bunk beds. Although we didn't use the kitchen to prepare meals, the unit had everything one would need, including an Nepresso coffee machine, full-sized microwave & dishwasher. We did not need to use the heat since we visited in the early Fall, but did use the AC and it worked well. It was located in the living room, but there wasn't an AC unit, or a fan, in the bedroom, so if the door to the bedroom would have needed to be closed (4 people in the unit), the bedroom would have gotten warm. In closing, when we visit Quebec again, we wouldn't hesitate staying here again.

Rental unit in La Cité-Limoilou
4.73 out of 5 average rating, 417 reviewsCharming apt inside the walled city
Great location! Nothing that wasn’t disclosed ahead of our stay but it is an old building and people walking around on other levels can be heard. It didn’t bother us but its good info to know if you’re a light sleeper. Also, the parking nearby was actually cheaper than the lot suggested further away. We hope to return to this lovely rental!

4.91 out of 5 average rating, 279 reviewsComfort at the Old Port just back for short term
This is a beautiful, spacious apartment close to Old Quebec City. We were able to walk to great restaurants and throughout the European style streets of the Old Quebec City every day. The apartment is quiet even though it is on a busy street. We would happily stay here again. Communication with Charles was very good.

My stay at Jonathan's was a last minute booking, and everything from the location, to the space provided, and more importantly, how easy his instructions were, was what made it such an effortless and great stay. Wish I am had more time, I would've easily stayed for another few nights to take advantage of everything to do around the area. Thanks Jonathan!

The place is fine but the location I did not like - her suggested restaurant list can be updated. The bakery around the corner was delightful. It is very helpful to have a car for Quebec; unlike Montreal you can do everything by public transportation.

The unit was incredibly spacious and clean. Beds very comfortable. Unit was in a good location with local restaurants and cafes very close by, and about a 25 minute walk to main eating and shopping districts. Very happy with our stay in Montreal.

We had a great time in Quebec!!! The unit was either in walking distance to food and other activities but if you needed to drive about, like to see the Montmorency Falls, it was an easy 15 mins drive. If you’re looking for a getaway for two people this place is for you!! It’s a quiet building in a safe feeling neighborhood even at 11pm when walking home from dinner!!

We had an amazing time. this place is perfect if you want to visit all the historical sites of Old Quebec. the unit is a perfect size, very comfortable, and felt a lit like home. clean and inviting as well. If you enjoy cooking yourself, the kitchen has plenty of utensils, pots and pans. the rooftop BBQ's are always clean, have a roof over them in case it's raining, and have a beautiful view while you wait for your food to cook. Sebastien was very helpful, and answered me quickly with any questions I had. I am 100% coming back in the future! Thank you for everything!

Your guide to Québec City
Welcome to Quebec City
French Canadian landmarks and a beguiling cultural scene blend in this little marvel of a metropolis. At first, it’s the European ambiance of Quebec City’s compact historic core that charms you. This is one of the only walled cities in North America with its centuries-old fortifications still intact. In magical Old Quebec, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you can chase the past through a romantic maze of cobblestone streets — popping in and out of tiny shops and gazing in awe at icons like the Citadelle, where you can witness the traditional changing of the guard.
Venture outside the colonial district and you’ll encounter eclectic neighborhoods that define the cosmopolitan edge of this provincial capital. You’ll find cafes and markets in Saint-Jean-Baptiste, trending bars and galleries in the revamped Saint‑Roch, and verdant parks for picnicking in laidback La Cité-Limoilou. When you want to play in the outdoors, plenty of the province’s coolest adventures await mere minutes from the city center: think paddling trips on the St. Charles River, farm and vineyard visits on the agrarian Île d'Orléans, and screaming along epic ziplines over the waterfall at Montmorency Falls Park. “C’est le fun,” as the Quebecois say.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Québec City
This is a city of festivals, with summer and winter being high times in Quebec City for cultural and culinary celebrations. Summer brings major international music acts to Festival d'été de Québec, the capital’s marquee music event typically hosted in July. Performers dressed in historic garb descend on Old Quebec in August for the New France Festival. Dozens of celebrations dedicated to the culinary, visual, and performing arts mean there’s something happening nearly every weekend from June to September.
During winter, the height of the holiday season in December draws crowds to the German Christmas Market and New Year’s Eve revelries. February’s Quebec Winter Carnival is one of the main attractions on the winter calendar. Fall and spring are noticeably quieter — prime times for exploring the region’s outdoors or strolling postcard-perfect streets without all the foot traffic.
Top things to do in Québec City
Quartier Petit Champlain
Wandering through the narrow streets of Quartier Petit Champlain — among the oldest commercial districts in North America — feels like stepping into a history book. This compact area of central Quebec City exudes centuries-old French Canadian character in its well-preserved stone buildings with gabled roofs, most filled with small cafes, independent shops, and pubs. The cobblestone Place Royale, lined with restaurants and the continent’s longest-standing church, marks the site of the first French settlement in the region.
Montmorency Falls Park
Hop aboard a cable car to reach the top of a cliff, where you’ll take in views of the tallest waterfall in the province of Quebec. At 272 feet (82.9 meters), Montmorency Falls stands nearly 100 feet (30 meters) taller than Ontario’s famous Niagara Falls. For a bigger adrenaline rush than snapping pictures of the misty falls, you can speed along a zip line across the cove.
Terrasse Dufferin
Wrapping around Château Frontenac, the castle-like icon towering over Old Quebec, Terrasse Dufferin is a Victorian-era boardwalk with stellar views. Perched above the St. Lawrence River, it’s a scenic spot for a sunset stroll, when you’re also likely to see a few street performers competing for your attention. Come winter, the terrace turns into a snowy playground, complete with a toboggan slide dating back to the late 19th century.
