We recently stayed at Jana and Jan's apartment in Nové Město, Prague, and couldn’t have been happier with our experience! The apartment is ideally located - right in the heart of the city yet tucked away in a peaceful, quiet area. It’s just a short walk to supermarkets, metro stations and the charming historic center, making it the perfect base for exploring Prague. The apartment itself is spacious, modern and very cozy, with plenty of room to relax after a day of sightseeing. The decor strikes a wonderful balance between style and comfort, creating a welcoming atmosphere that truly felt like a home away from home. Jana and Jan were excellent hosts - very communicative and responsive, always ready to help with any questions we had. Overall, this apartment offers an ideal blend of comfort, convenience, and a warm local touch. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy Prague from a fantastic location!

Eva’s place could not have been more perfect for our 25th anniversary celebration trip. A beautiful apartment that is located close to everything and yet is quiet and peaceful. Just a two minute walk to Charles bridge and only a one minute walk to a square that has many excellent restaurants and a lovely farmers market every Thursday. The apartment is spacious with beautiful high wood ceilings and Eva is a super friendly and responsive host. We could not have picked a better place and will definitely plan to come back! Thanks Eva!!

This is a lovely place to stay - nice living room kitchen area - with a long table to eat or read at. The bedroom is peaceful. Floor length white curtains and art objects throughout. There were enough condiments and coffee to get you started. Katherine and Greg are Very responsive hosts. When we couldn’t get the washing machine working they actually offered to pick up our clothes and launder them. Luckily it was a simple error on our part (overloading) - and once i looked it up online - easy to fix ! Would definitely stay again.

My family really loved staying here for Prague! Location was perfect as it was close to all tourist attractions, restaurants, and transport if needed. The apartment was super spacious for a family of 5 and really clean and the kitchen had all that we needed. There was also an elevator in the building! Very good value for what we paid! Also Stepan and the co-hosts were all very responsive and provided local recommendations which made the stay even better!

This apartment was fantastic. Lots of space and really clean. The building has a 24 hour security person controlling access to the building so everything was really secure. The location is really close to several tram/bus stops so getting around the city was really easy and fast. We could pretty much get anywhere within about 15-25 minutes....even all the way up to Prague Castle. We would 100% stay here again if we make it back to Prague in the future.

We had a wonderful stay in Prague and in the lovingly furnished apartment. Location is quiet but central. The balcony to the courtyard is wonderful for relaxing. The equipment (kitchen/bathroom) is as described and there is everything you need and more (salt, pepper, oil, coffee, tea, shampoo, shower gel, cotton pads, etc. were available). Check-in via the key box works great. The communication with Jan, Sarah & Filip was also very good, questions were answered in a timely manner. Very helpful and informative is her "Welcome Guide" and her numerous recommendations for restaurants. Thank you. We had a great time and would be happy to come back.

I had an incredible stay in Karlin! The apartment was spotless—easily one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed in. Everything was exactly as described, which made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. The location couldn’t have been better; it’s a perfect base for exploring Prague, with a metro station just a 3-minute walk away, making it easy to get to the city center quickly. Your guide to Prague
All About Prague
With the picturesque Vltava River running through its heart and Prague Castle overlooking its architecturally significant buildings, bridges, and expansive town square, Prague is one of Europe’s most distinctive cities. Although it is known as “the city of a hundred spires,” almost a thousand towers and spires actually rise from the spectacular mix of Baroque, Gothic, and Renaissance buildings in Czechia’s capital.
A wander through Old Town Square will pass the Gothic Church of Our Lady Before Týn and the medieval Astronomical Clock, along with an array of open-air cafes and restaurants. You can walk up to the imposing Prague Castle, where the Schwarzenberg Palace showcases Renaissance architecture at its best, and head across the medieval Charles Bridge, where you’ll find 30 striking Baroque statues of the saints as well as dramatic views of the city.
Prague is also famous for producing some of the world’s finest beers, and the city is full of pubs and beer gardens where you can sample local pilsners and enjoy popular Czech snacks like nakládaný hermelín — pickled cheese served with bread.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Prague
Summer is a great time to stay at a vacation rental in Prague. From June through August, you can expect comfortably hot and sunny days, but the nights can be cooler, and Prague’s weather can be changeable, so it’s a good idea to pack a jacket with your sunscreen. In spring, the weather is mostly mild, and Prague comes to life with major events like the Prague Food Festival in April and the Czech Beer Festival in May, where you can try hundreds of beers accompanied by live music. In the fall, cooler temperatures prevail. The temperatures drop below freezing and generally stay there in December and January, and snow collects on the rooftops, making winter a magical time to wander around town. Like most of Central Europe, Prague can get bitterly cold, so bring a windproof coat as well as a scarf, gloves, and a warm hat. The famous Christmas markets in Old Town Square start at the end of November and run until January.
Top things to do in Prague
Prague Castle
Overlooking the city, Prague Castle sits inside the largest castle complex in the world. Built in the ninth century, the castle is surrounded by the gothic St. Vitus Cathedral, defense towers, museums, the Presidential Palace, and Golden Lane — a street full of colorful houses where the castle guards once lived and which today are filled with souvenir shops and exhibitions. The Daliborka Tower, the castle’s prison until the late 18th century, was named after its first prisoner.
Astronomical Clock
In Old Town Square, you’ll find the oldest clock of its kind still operating. Built in 1410, this remarkable clock not only tells the time, it also shows the months and the astronomical position of the sun and moon. It’s ornately decorated with Gothic sculptures and wooden statues of the 12 apostles, and if you’re there on the hour, you’ll see the apostles put on a show.
Petřín Lookout Tower
The Petřín Lookout Tower is one of Prague’s most striking landmarks. Built in 1891 for the city’s Jubilee Exhibition, it was inspired by the Eiffel Tower and, when you see it, you’ll notice that it’s even the same height. Once you climb the 299 steps to the top, you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views of the city.
