I can’t say enough good things about our stay. The place was bright, open, and clean. The outdoor area and pool were the highlight for us. My family and I were already discussing our return to Janet’s home before our last day. Highly recommend.

Absolutely perfect stay here. Clean and beautiful home. Lovely pool with inviting backyard. Cute details like little welcome card and chocolates and water on night stands. I came to run Javelina Jundred in McDowell park and this location was close and easy to navigate to and from. I 100% recommend this home and I wouldn’t have changed a thing about our stay!

We had a wonderful time at Kurt’s house. Two of us moms brought our four daughters for their spring break. The house was perfect for all of us. (Ages 9-39.) I would definitely recommend this house to anyone. It has so many perks to it! Location, pool, hot tub, Views, and even stocked well with household items. Kurt was very communicative and always made sure everything was working and how it should be. Thanks Kurt for such a great place to stay. Will definitely be back if we come to the area again!

South Mountain View 3 br house!!!!!

LeonaRating, 5 stars20 months ago
David is a "super host" indeed. He always answered any question right away. He genuinely wanted us to have a good time. His house is filled with anything you might need. We hiked everyday in the preserve since an entrance is literally right next door. We fed the birds and listened to the coyotes at night...simply a great place to stay.

Peaceful Condo in heart of Old Town Scottsdale

AlannaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Had a fabulous stay in Scottsdale! The unit is spacious, and the pool area is beautiful and peaceful! There are so many loungers and it was very quiet when we were there. At times we had it all to ourselves! There is covered outdoor parking and the location is fabulous to walk or take a golf cart taxi to Old Town. Check in and out was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again.

Trendy MidCentury Modern - Old Town Scottsdale

GlendaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I fell upon this listing days before I booked. This was a great rental in a great location, central to a lot of the places we were trying to visit. Tiffany was a very friendly, responsive host & allowed us to check in an hour earlier. Very cute decor, anything & everything that we needed was on site. This is my 3rd time traveling to Scottsdale for a few days & the first time I stayed in a airbnb vs a hotel. Very glad I made this decision & hope to be back soon. THANK YOU TIFFANY!

I just love staying here - I can’t say enough about it! I love the camper - so cozy! The bed is super comfortable! I love waking up to all the bird songs. I love showering outside, in privacy, with the sun on my face! I love reading next to a campfire before I go to sleep at night. Somehow, Celeste has made an oasis of safety & serenity right in the middle of Phoenix, and I am oh, so grateful! Thank you again, Celeste, for sharing this space! I hope to be able to visit again and again! ❤️

This was actually my first time staying in a RV and what an experience. I kind of want an RV now just based on this experience alone haha. Everything was clean and spotless, all appliances and air conditioning worked really well. Shower took a little while to warm up since I was unaware it needed time to recharge the hot water but it was a minor inconvenience. Honestly this was a fantastic get away in a quiet neighborhood after work in the downtown area and I would stay again in an instant. Joe and Wendy were very responsive and always friendly. A++ host with a A++ place

Shaggy Dog BnB - The Dog House

NicoleRating, 5 stars6 months ago
The RV was a fun weekend experience. I loved the outdoor shower (fyi the shower in the RV is tiny and there isn’t much hot water). It was a little cool while I was there but there was a heater that kept the space warm. The kitchen was what I needed to make breakfast. It was close to lookout mountain which was a great spot for a morning trail run.

1960s Retro Dreamo Camper

JeffreyRating, 5 stars7 months ago
What a great and cute place. Me and my eleven year old son came for a mini-local-stay-cation / getaway. At first, I think my son was a little "Dad, what's this? This is no fun." But he quickly warmed up and after one day he said (unsolicited) "this trailer was fun! I really like it." It's exactly as the pictures show, and Amy and family are SUPER hosts - incredibly friendly. Couple of notes about the trailer - the beds are VERY comfortable. My son and I were surprised; he commented when we saw the mattresses, "these are not going to be comfortable," but we both were pleasantly surprised. Also, the shower and toilet are "retro-small." I'm 6' 2" 240, and using the commode was tricky. I chose not to try the shower personally (due to small size and curtain complexity), but, I feel sure for people less "substantial" than me - it would work great! Finally, the fruit from their property - so so yummy! The "icing on the cake" for this stay. Thanks Amy and family!

Your guide to Mesa

All About Mesa

Saguaro cactus reaching to the sky, expanses of terracotta-tiled roofs, and the constant presence of the arid, imposing Superstition Mountains characterize this south-central Arizona city. While Mesa may technically be a suburb of Phoenix, it certainly doesn’t take a back seat. As Arizona’s third-largest municipality, Mesa has more than its fair share of cultural offerings, recreational activities, and entertainment options. Mesa is home to stylish cafes, a thriving nightlife, and talented chefs exploring the intersection of Mexican, indiginous Southwest, and European cuisines. The Mesa Arts Center is the largest art park in the Southwest, with over 200 sculptures, theaters, and galleries.

The city’s proximity to the Sonoran Desert and accompanying nature reserves provide plenty of opportunities to explore the area’s world-renowned red rock formations. Hiking and mountain biking are popular activities here, with easy access to hundreds of miles of trail systems snaking through the deserts. For a reprieve from the heat, you can always head onto the Salt River or one of several nearby lakes, joining the other paddle boarders, kayakers, and swimmers cooling off in the water.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Mesa

Mesa boasts over 300 days of annual sunshine, with accompanying desert conditions, but the temperature does shift from season to season: from sunny and warm during the winter to scorching (and sunny) in the summer. Because of the extreme heat, winter and the shoulder seasons may be the ideal times to look for vacation rentals in Mesa — especially if you’re planning on hiking and mountain biking. Regardless of the time of year, it is important to be prepared for the heat and sun when visiting Mesa. Be sure you always have access to cool clothing, sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water when you’re outdoors (many locals also keep water in the car in case of emergencies).

Top things to do in Mesa

Lost Dutchman Museum

Set on a 15-acre plot of land at the foot of Superstition Mountain, this museum highlights the history and folklore of southern Arizona. Geological displays will help you look at the ancient rock formations in a new light, and an exhibition on the region’s Native American roots traces the history of human habitation here back more than 12,000 years. Adjacent to the museum are the remnants of the Apacheland Movie Ranch; during its heyday, the facades of storefronts and streets you’ll wander around were used to film several now-famous Westerns.

Arizona Museum of Natural History

Arizona’s arid climate conditions have preserved the area’s geological, anthropological, and ecological history extraordinarily well. The Arizona Museum of Natural History showcases the wide-ranging varieties of fossils archeologists have found in this region, including those belonging to dinosaurs and long-extinct North American megafauna.

Usery Mountain Regional Park

Half an hour outside town, this nearly 4,000-acre nature park lies at the mouth of the Sonoran Desert. Hiking, biking, and horse riding trails lead you through terrain as varied as rugged mountaintops and vast stands of saguaros. If you’re up for a late-night drive, park’s desert air also provides some of the most pristine stargazing opportunities in the country.
