Castle Bound Home Retreat! - Ski Boyne Mt

NatalieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Chirron was always quick to respond and was clear with her instructions. The house itself was perfect for our stay before our wedding at Castle Farms. We were able to have family that otherwise couldn’t afford to attend our wedding stay with us there and not feel like they were in our way. Neighbors clearly don’t like having an Air BnB in their HOA, but meh… 🙃

Beautiful Traverse City Lakehouse - pets allowed

ShantelRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We really enjoyed our stay! I was surprised to see that the front of the house views were just as beautiful as the lakeside views. We had a few deer visit in the front every morning as they made their way through the marsh area. We enjoyed the closed in back porch area. It made it easy to let our two Golden's outside. They loved watching the wildlife from the porch and swimming in the lake. We thought the master bedroom downstairs had a soft, very comfortable bed. The couches were comfortable and the living room had a cozy fireplace. We loved being able to have a fire down by the lake and were grateful there was plenty of firewood supplied to us, with a lot of seating options. We cooked a steak on the grill and found it worked well, was clean and was easy to use. The washer and dryer were very easy to use. The double Keurig was also perfect so we could make a pot of coffee or single serve. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay! Beautiful lake property with plenty to see and do!

20 Foot to the Water + hot tub + sauna

JeffreyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Spent the weekend here for my wife's birthday with some friends. Great location for winery tours/local food, and everything you would need inside and out. Roger is a very responsive host and willing to do whatever it takes to make your stay as welcoming as possible. Plenty of room inside the house for sleeping for 3 adult couples, could've even fit a 4th no problem in the loft. Home was spacious and the screened in porch is a great hangout spot overlooking the lake.

All About Mackinaw City

Situated at the top of Michigan’s lower peninsula, just south of the magnificent Mackinac Bridge, is Mackinaw City — a charming coastal village with dazzling turquoise-blue waters, lush greenery, and well-preserved historic structures. The area is home to a few of Michigan’s historic lighthouses, including McGulpin Point Lighthouse and the Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse. Both lighthouses are open for visitors and include observation decks. Ferry and boat rides along the indigo waters of the Straits of Mackinac provide scenic views of the beautiful surrounding landscape and trips between two nearby towns, St. Ignace and Mackinac Island.

Downton Mackinaw City offers a unique shopping experience, where you can wander small local businesses, try the city’s famous fudge, find souvenirs, or grab a bite to eat at one of the town eateries. At the Mackinaw Bridge Museum, you’ll be able to learn about the city’s enduring ties to the sea and admire its symbolic landmarks. The area also offers boundless nautical adventures, including sailing, kayaking, parasailing, and ziplining over waterfalls.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Mackinaw City

Mackinaw City experiences warm summers with cool breezes, providing optimal beach-going conditions, trips to the park, and other outdoor recreational activities. The fall and spring seasons bring pleasant conditions for exploring the city when the temperatures are relatively mild and the nights are cool. During the fall months, the leaves of maple, birch, sumac, and oak trees adorn Mackinaw City and the surrounding towns in vibrant shades of orange, red, and yellow. A scenic drive through the city is one of the best ways to take in this colorful display. If you happen to be in town during Labor Day weekend, you can partake in the city’s longstanding tradition of allowing pedestrians to walk around the Mackinac Bridge for one day during the year.
