Cajudoy's Hale - STKM 2O13-OO18/TA-081-709-8752-01

JohnRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We really enjoyed staying here during a recent trip to Maui. The house is centrally located in Kihei, which allowed us to walk to a nearby grocery store and many restaurants and food trucks. There is an incredible amount of space in the house, and our party of five stayed comfortably. We felt that the house was a much better option than the many condos listed on Airbnb for about the same price.

Private Luxurious Cottage

GraceRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This cottage is a literally slice of heaven in upcountry Maui. It’s very clean, extremely private, and has every item and amenity you could ask for. A perfect place for a romantic stay. The outdoor soaking tub is an incredible feature, we used it early in the morning to watch the sunrise and late at night to star gaze. The landscaping on the property is pristine and you could spend hours just walking around looking at all the plants and flowers. The cottage is a great distance from everything in Maui, very close (8-10 mins) to some great restaurants in Makawao, and only about 25 minutes to Paia. Only a 30 minute drive from the airport, and also super conveniently located if you want to go to either side of the island. We stayed for 6 days and never got tired of being at the cottage, we were so sad to leave! This is a very very special place!!

Stunning ocean view, heated pool at home by Wailea

AnnaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Sandra’s Airbnb was an absolute dream and even better in person. Her property and swimming pool are beautiful. We had the opportunity to meet Sandra, and she was lovely. The space is private with plenty of conveniences that made staying with a toddler much easier – pack n play, highchair, bath toys, pool toys and swim floatie, beach chairs and an umbrella, and even a bin of toys for her to play with indoors. Plus having a kitchen with necessities was very helpful. It was nice and clean, and the AC was great too. We were in Maui for a wedding at Gather on Maui in Wailea and it was less than a 10-minute drive away. The location was perfect. We had the peacefulness and privacy of staying at an Airbnb but also plenty of access to gorgeous beaches, good restaurants and resorts just a quick drive away. Seeing the ocean from the patio every morning was a major bonus. I highly recommend Sandra’s place. The whole family loved it.

Paia cottage walk to town and beach

DavidRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Great location you can walk to town. The house is perfectly set up and the host has been very thoughtful about including beach chairs, a cooler, and everything you need to enjoy a beach day or explore the Hana highway. There is another cottage close by but the host has installed a wall and landscaping to make each cottage more private. Every room has an air conditioning unit and ceiling fans which allowed us to keep the bedrooms the perfect temperature and utilize fresh air when we could. Hope to stay here again soon.

Had a great time here, will hopefully be back!!!

Maui direct ocean front . Super private

JordanRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Wow! What a place! I’m not the best writer so I’ll keep it short. Jay was great and his place was beautiful. We were there in early March and could see whales breaching, slapping tails and find, and more EVERY morning day and night. Turtles constantly in the ocean near the sea wall. And just overall a fantastic place. You are plenty close to Kaanapali or Kapalu yet remote enough you feel you’re at your own home away from home. Great walkable food options, and just everything was amazing. Bed is SUPER comfortable!! Jay provides everything you need. Thank you Jay, mahalo!

This experience was a wonderful way to get immersed into the Maui upcountry culture right away. You are also very close to the cool historic town of Makawao, along with other activities and the beach. You are literally on a working farm and if you’re an animal lover (like us) you’ll especially love the free-range chickens, friendly black cat and golden retriever :) it was a great place to kick off our trip to Hawaii!

Great Location, 1 BR Beachy, VERY CLEAN Cottage

GenRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had an incredible experience at Ally’s Haiku Cottage! Nestled on a quiet street, the cottage offers such a relaxing atmosphere. The adjacent forested area fills the air with the soothing sounds of nature. The cottage itself was perfect for two. We loved the outdoor dining area and shower, as well as the cozy living and sleeping spaces. Having a washer and dryer was a fantastic bonus, making for easy cleanups after adventures. Just a short walk away, Haiku Market provided all the essentials, plus some of the best poke and musubi we enjoyed during our trip. Colleens and Nuka Sushi were also delicious finds! We explored much of the island, and Haiku served as an excellent home base. If you're seeking a laid-back, authentic experience, this is the spot for you. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a memorable stay. Thank you, Ally, for your wonderful hospitality! We can't wait to return!

Direct Waterfront, Air conditioned, Amazing Views!

SamanthaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My stay here was wonderful! The place was absolutely beautiful, everything was exactly like it looked in the photos, with the exception of the bathroom, which has been upgraded! The patio view was amazing! I especially loved the binoculars in the condo and found myself staring out into the ocean daily waiting for turtle heads to pop up. I would go back in a heart beat!

Absolute Beachfront with Million-Dollar Views!

NancyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I can't say enough about what a great place this is-we will be back for sure! The property is very clean and easy to navigate around. The beach is small but the turtles and the view make up for it, not to mention the constant sound of the waves-you just can't get enough! Plenty of grassy area to lounge and sunbathe and a great pool and jacuzzi if you want a break from the ocean. The sunsets are absolutely spectacular! Walkable to coffee, parks, and a few restaurants. Hop in the car and there is everything you would need within 10 miles. Heidi had excellent communication and instructions which left no question unanswered. The place was spotless and had all the amenities you need in a kitchen, bathroom, and family room. Hit up Costco (which is right by the airport) and then to Safeway- about 5 miles from condo and we were set. This is a gem of a location.

Maui Full Oceanfront Paradise

KaleyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had 3 Airbnbs during our Hawaii honeymoon and this one was our favorite! You can’t beat the view. We spent so much time out on the balcony reading and watching the sea turtles. We decided to sleep in the living room to be closer to the ocean sounds and the pullout couch was comfortable. The AC, beach gear, and bottled water were extra details that were greatly appreciated. We loved walking to Bad Ass Coffee in the mornings and took a swim in the ocean right outside the condo. Such a great location for beaches and restaurants in both Kaanapali and Kapalua areas. There was a grocery store right down the street and always plenty of parking at the condo as well. The street was busy but felt safe. The host was so kind and communicative and allowed us to check in early. We’d absolutely love to stay here again!

E204 Papakea Oceanview - "Summer Specials"

WilliamRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Awesome place! Beautiful grounds and very peaceful. A bit of an older and retiree crowd at this resort, so if you are looking for something different, it may not be for you. We are younger and still enjoyed everything! The little studio was perfect for us. The bed was super comfortable and the AC worked great. We loved having breakfast and coffee on the balcony! She had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the friendly cats on the grounds! 🐈 I overlooked the daily resort fee on the listing, so do not forget about that. Still worth the cost! Would highly recommend!! 🌴☀️🍾

StephanieRating, 5 stars34 months ago
Kuleana Club is absolutely beautiful! The grounds are just gorgeous and the access to the ocean is awesome. We watched turtles peeking out of the ocean every single day from our balcony! The unit was just as described. We slept on the murphy bed as it was so comfortable and felt like we were camping out on the ocean. The complex is in a great location and we felt quite safe with the evening parking lot and grounds security.

Amazing Kapalua ,Stay 7 nights, only pay for 6 !

MRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Relaxing luxurious stay with a great ocean view in the upscale Kapalua development adjacent to the Ritz Carlton. Nice attention to detail. Fully equipped kitchen (even better now that we left behind some premium spices and condiments for the next guest :-), AC, ceiling fans, washer dryer, some beach equipment, most everything you’d want. Two bathrooms one with tub and two sinks another with shower and one sink. Covered parking. Quiet area. During our stay we had no neighbors above or next to us. Very responsive host. Be aware you may need to walk out the front door and up the steps to get certain cell carriers working. Verizon is fine inside the condo. Would stay again.

Your guide to Lahaina

All About Lahaina

Located on Maui’s northwest coast, Lahaina is one of Hawaii’s most historic towns, home to golden beaches and bright blue waters, but also a lively main street and a thriving art scene. The Lahaina Historic District encompasses most of the town, and you’ll observe plenty of well-preserved buildings and a traditional seaport designated as a National Historic Landmark. Lahaina’s centerpiece is Front Street, a vibrant thoroughfare that takes you past fruit stands, seafood restaurants with outdoor dining, and souvenir shops selling handcrafted goods. You’ll also find the amazing banyan tree here — an 150-year-old tree that sprawls the equivalent of a city block. But to really plug into Lahaina’s vibe, you need to explore its art scene. There are more than 40 fine art galleries clustered together in the small town, and you can experience most of them on Friday Night is Art Night on Fridays.

Lahaina is sometimes called Lela, which means “endless sun,” and needless to say there are many beaches nearby for soaking up the sunshine, whether it’s snorkeling the coral at Ka'anapali Beach, relaxing in the soft sand of Napili Bay, or swimming the shallow waters at Baby Beach.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Lahaina

Lahaina is a great year-round destination with many vacation rentals available for your stay, including houses and condos. The warmest months are July through September when you can expect hot and humid temperatures. In September, a blues and jazz festival takes place in nearby Wailea, showcasing local musicians in a week of concerts around the town.

If you’d prefer to visit when things are a little quieter, March to June and October to February see a drop in visitors. The weather will be cooler, and you may get some rain, but you can still expect mostly pleasant temperatures for enjoying the beach.

In October, Lahaina plays host to one of the most beloved Halloween celebrations in Hawaii. Front Street comes alive with music, food, and Halloween-themed activities. Be aware that the hurricane season in Hawaii is from June to November.

Top things to do in Lahaina

Ka'anapali Beach

Just 10 minutes from town is one of Maui’s most picturesque beaches, Ka’anapali Beach. This three-mile stretch of golden soft sand and calm waters is ideal for swimming, scuba diving, and snorkeling, with an abundance of coral and tropical fish to explore. Come at nighttime to watch a traditional Hawaiian cliff-diving ceremony. This beach is also a great place to catch a legendary Hawaiian sunset.

The Lahaina Historic Trail

Lahaina was the first capital of Hawaii, and along this self-guided historical walking tour, you can visit 62 sites that have been designated National Historical Landmarks. You’ll pass by the U.S. Seamen’s Hospital, Wo Hing Temple, and the Lahaina Jodo Mission, which highlight Chinese and Japanese influence on Maui. Look out for bronze plaques along the trail, which offer interesting stories about the landmarks. You can pick up a walking guide at the Lahaina Visitor Center in the Old Lahaina Courthouse.

Lahaina Banyan Tree

The 60-foot-tall Banyan Tree sprawling along Front Street is the biggest tree of its kind in the United States. Imported from India and planted in front of the Courthouse in 1873, it is now a landmark and a staging place for local events like Art in the Park, where you can browse paintings, prints, and crafts every second and fourth weekend of the month.
