*** Beachfront Open Studio - steps to the Ocean *

LyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We enjoyed our stay here. It’s steps from the ocean. At night we loved hearing the waves crash/ocean which was so relaxing. Although you can hear your neighbors and footsteps above it’s worth it to stay there. The place is bigger than you think. The tub was nice along with the outdoor shower. Your near Hale’iwa town and North Shore. Plenty of things to do such as Waimea Valley (botanical garden/waterfall), Shark Cove (snorkeling), Laniakea beach (turtle beach). There’s plenty of food options such as Giovanni Shrimp truck, Teddy burgers (which has sport tvs), Matsumoto shave iced, Ted’s Bakery, etc.

Turtle Bay Condo Sleeps Four - North Shore, Oahu

LindyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
It is a great location inside the Turtle Bay Resort area. There are fun restaurants and bars within the resort and a number of other excellent restaurants nearby. The North Shore location is very convenient for exploring this part of the island. The unit is as described and photographed. I think it is an excellent space for 2-3 people as there is one bedroom and either a sofa-sleeper or blow-up air mattresses for additional guests. Having two bathrooms was a bonus. The bedroom has an A/C unit, but the rest of the condo relies on ceiling fans to cool. You do get a great breeze with the front and back doors open with the screen doors closed. Having spent many years traveling to Hawaii, I think this is pretty common. One issue is that the dryer vents into the laundry area which does heat up the condo, so we had to be selective as to when we used the dryer. Not a huge deal and we had a fabulous time enjoying this area of Oahu! Mahalo

Modern & clean condo at Turtle Bay

EmmaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Such an amazing stay! Super close to turtle bay resort, beaches and lots of good food. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive! Check in was very very easy and no contact. Lots of extra towels, blankets, chairs, umbrellas in the airbnb. Only issues were that the TV couldn’t connect to the internet and that the shower heads are very finicky and can fall easily if bumped (especially with tall individuals). Definitely would stay again!

Million Dollar Ocean View Condo - Free Parking

SandraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Muoy’s place was perfect for our family stay in Waikiki. It was close to a kid friendly beach and the facility was very kid friendly, transportation was easy, and the keyless entry meant the family could come and go without worrying about a key. Plus the condo has a fully outfitted and functional kitchen and a wonderful balcony with table and chairs for the kids to hang out and look at the beautiful view! I also appreciated that the building was non smoking, had laundry facilities very close, and was very clean.

Haleiwa Waterfront House

SylviaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This place was very lovely and had a wonderful view of the ocean. We had an amazing time in Hawaii. The house was conveniently located next to two very nice beaches we went to. As for other excursions it was a bit of a drive but we didn’t mind since there was so much beautiful scenery on the island. The bed was smaller than expected, it is maybe a queen but felt tiny. It was me and my husband and we are average people and we were shoulder to shoulder in the bed if we laid on our backs. I understand it is a small room and the bed already does take up a lot of space. Everything else is amazing and that isn’t even that big of a deal. We loved waking up in the morning and going to a local açaí place for breakfast and coming home to eat out on the lovely deck. Truly this is a once in a lifetime experience to be this close to the beach! I say if you are debating it, please treat yourself to this wonderful house.

Roomy Beach House w/ AC Perfect Location!

DavidRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
This place was great! If you are looking for a place to explore North Shore this is a great place. It was a fantastic home base for us and North Shore is amazing. The beaches, the food trucks, the shops, it was all great. When staying here you have to eat at Teds up the road and do not miss the Polynesian Cultural Center. Seeing the sunrise at the beach literally across the street was a real highlite.

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The place was absolutely spotless, comfortable, and beautifully designed. Every detail was well-organized, making it a perfect retreat. The surrounding beaches, outside of our gated community are stunning, although they are homeless encampments. Despite that, I highly recommend this accommodation for its quality and ambiance!

Kalo Homes ~ Makaha’s Hidden Gem!

KevinRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Kerstin and Jerelle were great hosts!! Great communication from the very start. Our 3 night 4 day stay at this beautiful home with impeccable sunset views is a one in a million. We are very grateful that our family could create new memories here. We used every space: backyard views were pretty extextraordinary (morning mountain views, beautiful sunsets, & the starry night wow)! Our kids were in the game room majority of the time, then the adults enjoyed it in the evening. Fresh fruit and local flowers in the yard with a easy-to-walk up gazebo area. Easy to find the home and in a gated community is a HUGE PLUS! Location is literally yards away from Makaha Golf Course, and minutes from the nearest CVS Longs (convenience stores). It was hard to say goodbye to a place we will always remember. Again, thank you for being great Super-Hosts!!! We will definitely be booking again! Mahalo nui, Matsumoto Family

Your guide to Ko Olina Beach

Introduction

Think of Ko Olina as Waikiki’s younger and more chill sibling, a resort town with villas that are near some of the amenities of Honolulu, but without the huge crowds. If you’ve always wanted to learn how to stand-up paddleboard or snorkel, the calm and shallow waters of Ko Olina Beach offer an ideal spot for beginners and families: four consecutive crescent-shaped lagoons interconnected by 5 miles of jogging and walking paths. The fourth and most southerly, Ulua Lagoon, is adjacent to Ko Olina Beach Park, offering public access to the shoreline and a verdant circle of grass that reaches toward the more rocky and secluded Ko Olina Beach.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Ko Olina Beach

The island of Oahu, including Ko Olina Beach, is blessed with pleasant weather all year. Temperatures are generally in the high 60s through high 80s Fahrenheit, with June through October being the hottest months. That said, Ko Olina can get muggy, with a wet season spanning from October through the end of March. January on average is the wettest month of the year, June the driest. Temperatures do drop slightly from December through March, so if 66 degrees seems cold, pack a light sweater or jacket as an insurance policy for evening excursions.

Top things to do in Ko Olina Beach

The Four Lagoons

You could spend your entire stay hopping from one white-sand beach lagoon to another. Numerous family-friendly activities and amenities are available across the entire length of shoreline, including snorkeling, stand-up paddleboarding, swimming, and sailing-canoe tours. All four lagoons are designed to buffer swimmers from waves, making them ideal for families with children.

Secret Beach At Lanikuhonua

While each of the four lagoons are great for swimming protected from waves, this pocket beach with its own natural lagoon is the better option for snorkeling. Keep your eyes peeled for sea turtles, sea urchins, butterfly fish, and other marine life. Located just a short northerly walk around the bend from Ko Olina Lagoon 1, the secret beach is easily accessible through the nearby hotel’s private entrance, and another small beach (Lanikuhonua Lagoon) offering similar “secret” access to a natural lagoon is adjacent.

Sunset cruises

Sunsets along the Ko OIina Beach shoreline are spectacular, but watching the day give way to dusk in a glorious explosion of reds, oranges, and pinks from a catamaran takes the experience to another level. Many options for a two-hour sail around the coast include Champagne and appetizers.
