Jumping Goat Ranch-Cashmere, Amazing Views!

WilliamRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This is the perfect stay for a couple! Our favorite part was the location, you get the luxury of staying on a beautiful ranch while being only a 15 minute drive from town. The home has a beautiful covered patio that offers a great view overlooking the property, in the mornings you can sit out and enjoy your coffee while watching the wildlife. We ran into the property owners on our way out to town and they were very pleasant and gave us a great pizza recommendation. You will also be pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the mattress is, we slept great! Overall I can’t recommend this stay enough, definitely one of the best airbnb locations on the property and you just can’t beat the price.

7th Street Guesthouse

DaveRating, 5 stars4 days ago
What a fantastic find this was! I booked this place primarily because I had signed up for a cycling event in Blanco and the house was close by. What I discovered was an absolutely wonderful home to unplug from everything and relax. It is such a tastefully appointed, classic, roomy space. Gail was very good at communicating everything I needed to know. I loved drinking coffee and reading in the sunroom in the morning. I cooked dinner the night before the ride and the kitchen had everything I needed. And it is a five-minute walk to the town square with all the great restaurants and shops -- once I got my bearings in town, I never had to drive once all weekend. I will absolutely be back!

Hill Country Hammock House

JennaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My husband and I wanted a secluded airbnb where we could elope and Lisa's place was absolutely perfect for the occassion! The house itself is so cute, and it sits on a piece of land where our dog had the best time running around. Lisa was very on top of communication to make sure our wedding day went perfectly, and it was much appreciated! We will remember this stay as one of the best days of our lives, and we will definitely come back for future visits. So ideal for a couples romantic/relaxing getaway, and bonus points that they allow dogs!

Salvation Cabin

TeresaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Salvation Cabin is as charming and peaceful as they come. The location cannot be beat. Adena, her husband and her sweet pups were the perfect hosts. I cannot think of a thing I would change. Winding down in the quiet starlit evenings next to the warmth of the chimenea, and waking up to cool sunny mornings that were truly magical, sitting on the porch swing observing deer as they pass, and a variety of beautiful birds fluttering and chirping in every direction. I was looking for a peaceful space to escape my worries and I found exactly that. I highly recommend Salvation Cabin for anyone visiting the Wimberly, Dripping Springs, Fredericksburg areas. So many local attractions to explore from a variety of restaurants, local honey farms, wineries and an abundance of places to shop and visit.

#6 Pet-friendly cabin on creek in Luckenbach, Tx

KelleyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Love this little rustic cabin across the creek from Luchenbach. Perfect if you want to listen to music, visit wineries/breweries, and shop. We could hear music from our porch and look at a full sky of stars. The bed was comfortable, the AC worked well, and the porch was very nice. Loved being in the country but near to Fredericksburg. Will definitely return

The Champagne Room

TulsiRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The Champagne room is a delightful, quiet getaway. Definitely worth coming back again! Clean, charming and loved the Bluetooth speakers to set up a little mood music. A darling touch to add Sparkling Apple juice instead of champagne since we can’t drink as well as breakfast supplies.

Hot Tub, King Bed, Walk to Main, Luxe Bath - No. 3

HannahRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This property was so beautiful and perfect for a romantic getaway. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom area was very clean with spa vibes. We loved the tv outside next to the hot tub so we could relax after a long day of walking and seeing the town. We were in walking distance from a local coffee shop and plenty of restaurants and shops while still being in a quiet area. The hosts responded quickly to our questions and were very helpful. We will definitely be returning for another stay at this property and highly recommend it!

Guest Haus w Hot tub, Fire Pit & Vineyard Views

Jose Natividad IIIRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Great place my husband and I enjoyed it. We went for our pre honeymoon and it was perfect. I love how secluded it is and the hot tub was a bonus. The airbnb was a good size for two people and very clean. Loved that they had a coffee machine. We rented the golf cart, which was nice and got to see the farm animals. I loved how peaceful it is and the stars at night looked amazing. My husband and I enjoyed sitting outside drinking coffee in the morning with the nice weather. Overall great experience and would book again. Last thing I will add is, I do think the price for the cleaning fee is high compared to others, other than that 10/10 recommend.

Cottage near Fredericksburg

LauraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This place is a hidden gem and Paula went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. We slept very comfortably on the bed and futon and the entire house was full of charm and comfort. Really appreciated all the unique items in the house and how she left little notes and stories about everything. You can really tell that Paula cares to make this a special place for people as they come to visit Fredericksburg. We will definitely be recommending to friends and staying here again on our next trip this way!

Pleasant Valley Hideaway

MichelleRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My husband and I came into town for a friend’s wedding in Boerne and we also love going into Fredericksburg. We had a welcome basket filled with some goodies and a bottle of wine which we had enjoyed while watching beautiful sunset off the balcony. The house was super clean, the bed was so comfortable with a lot of comfy pillows, the bath towels were so plush, and we had enjoyed grilling outside as well. The location is great and I love how private it is to get the house. We will definitely be back!! Great and sweet hosts.

Your guide to Fredericksburg

All About Fredericksburg

Fredericksburg is the gem of Texas Hill Country, which is known for its picturesque rolling hills, but also dramatic rock formations, lakes and rivers, and transformative blankets of wildflowers that bloom every spring. Founded by German immigrants, Fredericksburg is proud of its heritage, and is home to a robust brewpub culture and a rollicking three-day-long Oktoberfest. Its charming main street is lined with German signage, historic structures, and wine-tasting rooms fed by surrounding vineyards. The town is also known for a bustling local food scene, and is especially famous for its delicious peaches, first planted by a high school science teacher in 1921.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Fredericksburg

Fredericksburg enjoys warm weather nearly all year long. The winter is mild, with temperatures in the mid-50 degrees Fahrenheit from November to February, and the low 60s in March. During summer, the temperature can spike into the 100s, but typically hovers in the upper 70s and low 80s. April through May and September through October offer balmy temperatures in the high 60s through low 80s. It’s not uncommon to get caught in a rain shower, especially from April through June, so it’s a good idea to pack an umbrella.

Top things to do in Fredericksburg

National Historic District

You can’t throw a bratwurst without hitting a historic building in Fredericksburg. The town’s historic district encompasses 40 blocks of architecturally significant structures, many made in classic Germanic timber framing style, with heavy posts and beams and whitewashed limestone. The Pioneer Museum, operated by the local historical society, offers a two-hour evening walking tour for a fee, or you can simply stroll along Main Street, which is lined with lovingly cared-for examples of 19th-century architecture.

Enchanted Rock State Natural Area

The star of this park, located 17 miles from downtown Fredericksburg, is its namesake, a 425-foot-high pink granite dome that towers over the landscape like a giant piece of cotton candy. A steep climb to the top rewards hikers with jaw-dropping views. Enchanted Rock is also an International Dark Sky Park, where you can spot the Milky Way on inky-black nights.

Wild Seed Farms

Texas Hill Country is famous for its annual explosion of wildflower blooms, and Fredericksburg is home to the nation’s largest wildflower farm. Visitors to Wild Seed Farm can traverse trails in the more than 200 acres of flower fields — which include vibrant red corn poppies, bobbing sunflowers, and bright azure Texas bluebonnets — which bloom March through October. Admission is free, although you will probably be tempted to open your wallet at the Brewbonnet Biergarten, or spring for a glass of wine made from grapes grown on site.
