Finally, an AirB&B that looks like the photos! Everything was as described and the location was perfect. A 10 minute walk to the beach and local restaurants. We arrived to a birthday gift for our five year-old and other thoughtful welcome gifts from Michael! Perfect stay in October for our family of five. Steps from the beach. Ocean Front Dream Condo with Pool and View!

PamRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We love Mark’s place. We have stayed here three years in a row. It is a perfect and stunning location—right on the beach, with a pool, a balcony overlooking pool and ocean. Lots of great restaurants nearby. It’s just right for us: 1 bedroom with 2 beds, and 2 bathrooms. Can’t wait for next year.

Hollywood was super nice, and Carla was extremely friendly responding to messages as soon as possible. Just make sure the stuff in the cabinets aren’t expired, because we found some a year expired.

"The Beach Pad" in Hollywood Beach Florida

CarolynRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Everything was just as described! My sister and I hope to make The Beach Pad our new annual destination and can’t wait to come back! The apartment is well appointed, the provided beach chairs and umbrella being our favorite amenity. The location and ocean view can’t be beat. We were literally steps from the sand on a peaceful, quiet beach with a low-key vibe, but then when we wanted to enjoy a faster pace atmosphere the boardwalk full of shops and restaurants was only a mile walk away. It was the best of both worlds. Fun, safe, and lots of relaxation! Highly recommend! Thanks so much for hosting us!

Paradise on the Beach

NadaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Beautiful place in a peaceful nice area of Fort Lauderdale. Ben did an amazing job preparing his house to welcome guests and make them feel at home. Perfect for our family of 4 with 2 teens (2 bed/2baths, with baths attached to each room). Bright and spacious, can easily fit up to 6 guests (kids room has 3 beds, 2 twin and one full). Very welcoming and free of clutter yet includes everything needed for a relaxing vacation by the beach. Parking, beach stuff (lots of towels! chairs, boogie/skim/paddle boards), books to read, gorgeous outdoor seating with hammocks, grill and a hot tub :) add to that and most importantly, Ben’s welcoming and friendly attitude towards his guests. We arrived a bit early and were courteously allowed in before checkin time as the place was ready. Loved the area, with close-by restaurants you can walk to, and thrilled to have the beach so near to us (a 1 minute walk!) Would recommend and will definitely come back when visiting FLL. Thank you Ben!!

Newly Constructed Home For Rent

NicoleRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Vanessa and her co-hosts were kind and flexible. We needed a few extra provisions and accommodations due to an evacuation on our coast (SWFL) and they came through 100%. The stay is *beautiful*. VERY NEW. Great little back yard and close to restaurants. Good WiFi and cell signal. Super clean. I would absolutely stay here again and hope it’s available next time I’m in town.

The Bungalow on Wilton Drive. Huge Front Porch

LaurenRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Just had an amazing stay at the bungalow. Location is perfect, literally perfect and if you know south florida... having private parking is worth the booking in itself. Not to mention you are in a very walkable area that is only minutes away from downtown ft Lauderdale. You’re right off main drag for Wilton Manors, if its not your vibe, an uber is only a few bucks and perfect for not dealing w traffic and parking in downtown FTL. House was spotless, had everything you need. The beds, they were sooo comfortable. My gf kept telling me i had to upgrade my mattress and buy the same brand of pillows when i got home. We were there as milton was causing fear on the west coast, during this time Derek and George were extremely proactive and communicative. The only minute inconvenience and it was minute, was with the tv in the living room. The volume sounded like the speakers had blown out, we just lounged up in the master and watched our shows there. Would absolutely recommend 👌

After visiting pompano for the past 15 years, Sunshine Match is the ideal location. The beach is steps away, and there is plenty to do within walking distance. Prior to arrival we received a lot of recommendations for places to visit, restaurants to eat or activities. Would definitely recommend Sunshine Match to everyone.

Design District Apartment (201)

JeremyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Jonathan’s places are amazing. He’s taken an amazing 100 year old building and updated all the apartments and converted them into modern Airbnbs with a Miami aesthetic. A super responsive host, I think he responded 1 minute after we messaged him. While this place would be great for a couple, it was also nice for our family. And the location is great - just 5 or 6 blocks from the design district and a 15 minute drive to the beach. Really great place!

SoFi Villa #3, 2 Bedrm, Kitchen, FREE Parking

MiguelRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We recently evacuated due to Hurricane Milton and turned it into a mini vacation. We're so glad we chose this property! Donna was incredibly responsive and made sure all our needs were met. The home is spacious, full of natural light, and equipped with everything we needed, including a kitchen perfect for family meals. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of South Beach, but in a quiet residential area south of 5th Street, just two blocks from the beach. Beach gear and towels were provided, making our beach trips hassle-free. We also loved being walking distance from Miami’s famous restaurants and landmarks. Daily walks to South Pointe Park with our dog were a highlight, with a dog park overlooking a scenic channel where cruise ships pass by. Having Publix, TJ Maxx, and Walgreens nearby was super convenient. All in all, it was an unforgettable stay, and we will definitely book again!

Your guide to Fort Lauderdale

Introduction

Glitzy Miami and posh Palm Beach may buzz with celebrity sightings, but visitors more interested in relaxing in Southern Florida’s legendary sunshine gravitate to Fort Lauderdale in Broward County. There’s still a certain level of luxury to be found here — the waterfront mansions and mansion-sized yachts are proof of that — Fort Lauderdale is more laidback than its big-name neighbors.

The city’s 165 miles of waterways have earned it the nickname the “Venice of America,” and you’ll likely stay or dine along the water. Be sure to stroll the Riverwalk, located in a popular arts and culture district, and hop on the Water Taxi, which brings you from the beach to the trendy shops and restaurants of the Las Olas neighborhood.

While you could spend all your time sprawled out on the soft-sand beach, there are also historic homes, excellent museums, nature centers, and state parks within easy reach. And when the sun goes down, lively stretches of beach bars, dance clubs, and salty dives light up the night.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale’s busy season is between December and April, but a year-round average temperature of 77 degrees Fahrenheit means it’s always a good time to stay in one of the area’s vacation rentals. There are essentially two seasons in this subtropical destination. The wet season lasts from April through October and brings humid weather and temperatures in the high 80s, as well as occasional heavy rain showers and a chance of hurricanes. Mild winds and ocean breezes cool things off, but even the nights are hot, so you’ll want to pack light, loose clothing. In the dry season, expect daytime temperatures in the mid-70s; in December and January, you may even want a light jacket and a sweater, because low temperatures can dip to 60 degrees.

Top things to do in Fort Lauderdale

The beaches

Greater Fort Lauderdale boasts 23 miles of beautiful, wide, golden-sand beaches. In Fort Lauderdale proper, Fort Lauderdale Beach Park features a playground, volleyball and basketball courts, and picnic areas. Head north along the shore and you’ll reach popular Las Olas Beach and its bustling promenade lined with beach bars and souvenir shops. Continue along the promenade (or the shore) and you’ll hit calmer Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Boat tours

One of the best ways to experience Fort Lauderdale is on the water, whether it’s a canal tour through quiet residential waterways and past the mansions and private yachts of Millionaire’s Row, or a cruise up the New River where the city abruptly gives way to nature. You may even encounter the occasional manatee.

Everglades National Park

Everglades National Park is just over an hour’s drive southwest of Fort Lauderdale. Take a classic airboat tour through parts of the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States in search of wading birds and alligators.
