Beverly Beach House- Upper Deck

BarbaraRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We came in for my son's wedding and needed to house 8 family members. Everyone enjoyed the uniqueness of the place. There was plenty of room to spread out and not feel cramped. My husband and I enjoyed sitting out on the deck. Erin was a wonderful host and and she made it a priority that we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. The neighborhood felt safe and was quiet. Even a neighbor was able to help out my brother in-law with needle and dental floss when he pop a button off his suit jacket before the wedding. Great Place to Stay!

Mary's By The Sea

TeresaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We are so glad we chose this little cottage, and would definitely stay here again. The location couldn’t be more perfect, right across from a Beautiful beach. It’s a short 2 to 3 minute walk into the busier part of town, which is perfect. There is plenty of space inside to spread out and be comfortable. And for all the women reading this, there are two bathrooms! The larger of the two has great lighting, a nice counter to sit down for make up, and all the room you could ever want! None of those tiny dark bathrooms with no storage here! Tina was a great host, and very communicative. The house is well stocked with beach chairs, Beach towels, beach, bags, books, and games, etc. We particularly liked the TVs startup channel, but you’ll have to stay here to see what it is! If you’re looking for a place to stay, this is it!

Newly Renovated Ocean View 2 Bdrm Apt

DonnaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We came to that area to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday. I cannot even tell you how wonderful this place was it took me back to my youth when I lived in New England. The apartment overlooking the Atlantic ocean was just breathtaking. The cleanliness of the situation was amazing even as a surprise one day there was a birthday cake on the stairs, going up to the apartment for my daughter who would take that extra time to make that extra special I sent decorations early and they decorated the door for my birthday. I will stay there again. If I come back to that area, I will recommend this place 100%. I cannot thank Anna and further wonderful hospitality. This is an amazing place to stay.

Oceanfront Home Rockport

MarissaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had a wonderful stay at Nicole’s home. The house was clean, beautifully decorated and had stunning views. The kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable and we felt right at home. There is an abundance of outdoor space for relaxing or dining. Our kids played games outsides for hours on the porch and the near by beaches. I hope to return and highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was clean, in a safe area, close enough to Salem to visit, but far enough away to be out of the crowds and traffic. Paul was great! Super responsive and gave us great recommendations of things to do and restaurants.

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb just outside of Boston! The place was spotless—clearly, the host takes great care to keep it clean and welcoming. The location was perfect, offering quick access to Boston while still being in a peaceful neighborhood. It was the ideal balance of convenience and relaxation. The host was incredible, always responsive and super helpful, going above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely stay here again!

When we come make to the New England area, we know EXACTLY where we would like to stay again! It’s a beautiful beach stay where you are perfectly and centrally located to Boston and Salem. It’s just like the pictures and so peaceful! Carol and John were so hospitable and friendly. There was a Welcome Guide available in the Airbnb that told us different things about the Airbnb, surrounding areas, transportation and restaurant recommendations. I highly highly recommend staying at Carol and John’s Airbnb!!

Fully-Equipped 2nd Floor 1-Bed 1-Bath Apt

JessicaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Elena is a wonderful host. Her place is decorated beautifully and has anything and everything one would need for a great stay. The location is very walkable and close to the Stoney Brook T stop. There are restaurants within walking distance as well as a Whole Foods, liquor store, neighborhood coffee/grocery store. We also walked to the Samuel Adam’s Brewery that we took a tour of and enjoyed some downtime. It’s close to Fenway. Parking can be a little tricky if you get back later but we always found a spot within a block. We spent time in Boston which we took the T but had our car and day-tripped to other areas. I can’t say enough good things about this home. Elena was a sweet and informative host and was on site and quickly responded to our questions. We are small town and not used to public transportation and she came and helped explain the map and made sure we knew what was around and some recommendations. It was great to visit with her and we would love to stay here again!

Dreamy Waterfront Oasis | 5★ Location, ♛Queen Beds

ChetRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed here while visiting our son who lives near Boston. It was a great spot for us all to gather. It was close enough to the city and easy to get there. The view out back over the pond is really pretty. We were there in the fall and the leaves were really beautiful. The pergola in the back yard is a great spot to have a cup of coffee while taking in the beauty of the pond. There is a nice park within easy walking distance just up the road. A really pretty and enjoyable stay.

This Airbnb is amazing. Not only are you close to Boston and lots to do, but you’re also on a semi private lake! Doug and Hope were great hosts and share their property and kayaks, bikes, etc freely. The space is small but very comfortable for 2 without any issue. The kitchen is small but functional. Thank you Doug and Hope!

Scenic Lake Escape

PatriciaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is a lovely spot right on the lake. The fall sunrise photos were beautiful. We booked to attend a baby shower in Medway with family in Uxbridge so the location was perfect for us. The two parking spaces are very tight to manipulate but we managed. The mailbox only has a house# on one side so locating the driveway on our first pass was a 'miss'. The interior is quite nicely decorated in a modern, clean style. We would suggest the addition of some hooks for towels in the bathroom and same in the 3 bedrooms to keep things neat. Towels were plentiful but no face cloths were provided. Only other comment is that the kitchen sink is non-conventional and some instruction for operating would have been helpful. Would love to book again in the summer to enjoy the location.

Couples Retreat - Charming Colonial Home, Parking

AlyssaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lisa’s house is one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed in. To start, she had complimentary water bottles, snacks, toiletries, and other things you might have forgotten. You can tell Lisa put a lot of time and effort into making sure her guests feel comfortable. She responded very quickly and was always incredibly kind. The home is beautiful, and the steam shower was the cherry on top. We loved Lisa’s house and would love to stay again.

Private & Remote, Enjoy Outdoors, Sleep in Luxury

FeliciaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
My boyfriend and I were beyond ecstatic about this tiny cabin. Very clean and just as described. The comforts of home, outdoors. It was cold during our stay (there is no heat or AC) but extra blankets and plenty of firewood was provided! We saw otters, bald eagles, deer, blue jays and beautiful sunsets. We brought our electric scooters and scooted to the town of Ayer which was absolutely adorable! Highly recommend “Tiny’s” for breakfast, “Nashoba club pizza and taproom” and “Gibbet Hill Grill” check out Bancroft Castle while at Gibbet Hill Grill. We were very happy with our stay. Snacks and drinks were also provided at the cabin. Thank you for sharing your property with us! We’ll be back!

Get to The Point, Winthrop

HunterRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Place was beautiful! Bed and pillows were so comfy, we have been inspired to get new pillows for our own bed. They left a binder of recommendations for the surrounding restaurants and businesses. It was a short walk to the beach with a gorgeous sunset view of the Boston skyline. They also left snacks, coffee, and drinks for us.

Your guide to Boston

Welcome to Boston

One of America’s oldest and most important cities, Boston intertwines quaint New England charm with well-preserved history. The Massachusetts state capital’s scenic and strategic location, where Boston Harbor meets the Charles River, imbues it with a natural beauty while keeping the city thriving economically for almost four centuries.

The bay, and the Atlantic Ocean from which it’s fed, shapes Boston’s seafood-focused culinary scene, and also keeps the city center small, making it an easy place to navigate; you can hardly walk a few blocks without running into historic Revolutionary War sites. But even squeezed into the peninsula, the city’s “Emerald Necklace,” with 1,100 acres of linked parks, holds plenty of wide open space. Meanwhile, Boston’s dozens of colleges and universities attract a sophisticated crowd that upholds the long traditions of cultural entities like the Boston Public Library and the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Boston

Autumn in Boston paints the city in classic New England fall colors while threading the needle between hot, humid summer and chillingly cold winter. Late spring offers similarly pleasant weather, though the thaw from winter and slightly rainier months can turn things muddy. April’s marathon weekend, officially a state holiday called Patriots’ Day, draws huge crowds on the third Monday of the month. Average low temperatures in the winter rarely climb above freezing, but armed with plenty of warm clothing, you can take advantage of the off-season to book your vacation rental and visit high-traffic tourist sites without the crowds. Warm days with humidity make Boston summers sticky, but staying close to the many waterways around the city will help you stay cool.

Top things to do in Boston

Boston Common

The country’s oldest city park remains a jewel of public space in downtown Boston. Its 50 historic acres began as communal grazing grounds for livestock, then hosted British soldiers in the Revolutionary War. The park now offers open greenspace, lined with trees and dotted with fountains and statues, forming the southern terminus of the Freedom Trail, and bordering the stunning Boston Public Garden.

Black Heritage Trail

Where Boston’s Freedom Trail gives you a window into the city’s role in the Revolutionary War, this lesser-known but equally important 1.6-mile walk shows off what happened next. Take one of the free guided tours that tells the story of Boston’s large free Black community between the Revolutionary and Civil wars through 14 national historic sites, including the African Meeting House, built in 1806 and the oldest surviving Black church in the United States.

Boating

Boston’s harbor and rivers have shaped the city, so seeing it from the water offers the best way to both learn about and enjoy it. Choose from one of the many harbor tours, scenic sunset excursions, and fascinating architecture cruises offered to visitors, or rent a boat to paddle the Charles River or sail to the Harbor Islands.
