STUDIO MODERN 3 Barra de Guaratiba

I spent a great stay at the Poliana studio. It is very solicitous and has given us several tips on what to do in the city, the studio matches the photos and is even better in person.

Entire house Best View I Barra de Guaratiba/RJ

Maria FernandaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The only defect of the house is that it 😄 is not my breathtaking view, all super clean, smelling bedding, all utensils in the kitchen for a quick lunch. Maria was super attentive let us enter before the agreed time, gave tips on tours and always very communicative. If you stay in Maria's house feel at home, you don't want to leave ever again 🥹 now I have a house in Guaratiba. To plant lovers like me, you will love the backyard, a cute and cozy one. It was perfect days!

Apartment with a beautiful view

AlexiaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Very nice and pleasant place. I, in particular, loved regardless of anything (such as difficulty finding Uber, getting around on foot is tiring, etc.), as the place is wonderful, close to very pleasant trails, close to the sea, everything more important had just down the street to the trade, full of animaize, lots of nature, fresh air, wind… Wonderful place for those looking for calmness and tranquility, with a great dose of nature!

Loft Exclusive Sea Front

JimmyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was our first time in Rio so where we stayed was important to us, and this place was everything you could ask for. I don’t usually spend much time at the house on vacation but we had no problem hanging out here with the views from the living room. The host, Miguel, was by far the best host I’ve had on this app before. He gave us recommendations and was very quick to respond every time I messaged him. I didn’t want to leave but will definitely be making a trip back.

Luxurious Beachfront Oasis: Renovated Penthouse!

BrunaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
The apartment is very functional, the air conditioning works well, the area of the jacuzzi is very nice and the sunset seen from there is beautiful. Within the condominium there is a grocery store and a restaurant serving a la carte food and breakfast, but we didn't find out until later. Access to the condominium pool is very easy, but the water has no heating. The nearby academy may trouble those who sleep later, as you can hear the music from the gym class early. The apartment is about 1h away (car) from the main sights and this distance should be considered for those who want to take the tours (Christ Redentor, sugar bread, lage park, etc.), as a lot of time is lost in traffic. In general the apartment is good and we would definitely come back.

Dream Rio Beachfront PENTHOUSE❤️Breathtaking Views

GinnyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Diego’s place was great! Just like the photos. Loved the views. Stunning. Any needs or questions and helpful Valerie took care of us 24/7. Beds were comfortable and the place was clean. There was a little noise from the street and furniture a bit worn, but it did not detract from the stay. Jacuzzi was awesome. The place made our stay in Rio and we can’t wait to come back! Thanks Diego and Valerie for a great stay.

Your guide to Rio de Janeiro

All About Rio de Janeiro

With its combination of shimmering white-sand beaches, breathtaking views, and cosmopolitan lifestyle, Rio de Janeiro is one of South America’s great metropolises. From landmark sites like the hilltop statue Christ the Redeemer to the lesser-known Escadaria Selarón, the Brazilian city lives up to its nickname, Cidade Maravilhosa (Marvelous City). Every February, Rio throws the world’s biggest street party, Carnival, a lively four-day celebration of beating drums, glittering costumes, and swaying hips.

Spend a day among the tanned bodies and gentle waves at Copacabana Beach, or explore the subtropical paradise of Parque Lage. Outdoor activity comes in all forms here, whether it’s hiking in the Tijuca rainforest, cycling alongside lakes and beaches, sailing across Baía de Guanabara, surfing, rock climbing, or hang gliding. And when you’re ready to get out of the sun, Rio’s cultural attractions have plenty to offer, including world-class museums, a diverse mix of architectural styles, craft markets, high-end fashion boutiques, and enough samba and choro music to keep you dancing until the sun comes up.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Rio de Janeiro

Summer, from December through March, is a popular time to visit, when the city is at its most festive. Carnival brings revelers into the city in February — the hottest month of the year. Spring (September through November) is also a good option, when the weather is still warm and there’s little rain. July is Rio’s coolest month, with an average high of 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Other major events in the city include the Festas Juninas, the traditional festivities adapted from European Midsummer that happen at the beginning of the Brazilian winter in June, celebrating the most famous Catholic saints. Festival de Rio brings the year’s best international films to the city in November, and Réveillon is a lively way to ring in the new year with fireworks and dancing.

Top things to do in Rio de Janeiro

Corcovado mountain

Take the cable car up to Corcovado mountain to The Christ the Redeemer statue — one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Once you arrive at the foot of the statue, gaze down at the city and take in the neighborhoods that make up the Zona Sul and out to Guanabara Bay. Try to go early and choose a day with clear weather.

Escadaria Selarón

These colorful 215 steps reside in Rio’s Lapa neighborhood. In 1990, an artist started decorating the staircase outside his home using scavenged tiles. In the years since, it has grown to over 2,000 tiles. While in Lapa, you can also explore hip coffee shops, thrift stores, and lively nightclubs.

Grumari Beach

Head where the locals go on the western shore of Rio. Although it’s about an hour’s drive, Grumari is what some call the city’s most secret beach. The unspoiled nature reserve includes nearly two miles of white and red sand. You’ll want to bring your own food and drink, since there aren’t any restaurants or shops here.
