A Private Garden Getaway Minutes From Manhattan

DarioRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We couldn't be more happy for our stay in NYC. less than 10 minutes walking from PATH station that leave you at the WTC, also has plenty of options for restaurants and groceries in 5 minutes. The hosts were extremely responsive and kind. The place was clean and tidy up. All as advertised! which in these days is a lot to say. Thank you so much Ben & Janine for your hospitality.

Big & Luxurious Room w/ Private Bath, Park Avenue

EmilyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Great location, amenities were as described! We did a lot of walking both South (SOHO, Chinatown) and North (Time Square Bryant Park, Central Park) of us so the location was perfect. There were plenty of restaurants nearby, Starbucks across the street and a Whole Foods about one block away. Any questions we were answered efficiently and in a friendly manner. Great experience for our first trip to New York. Please note: there are extra taxes and fees and nightly security deposit required (which is typical for larger cities) on top of Airbnb cost. We would book again.

Luxury apt near Hudson Yards and Times Square

The views of the city were absolutely stunning, I mean breathtaking! Our family enjoyed every moment we stayed in the property. It was clean, spacious, modern, and the bed was comfortable. Steven was a very responsive host and was extremely understanding when our one year old accidentally broke a decorative piece. Our family will look for this rental any time we visit NYC again. The location was perfect and we were able to travel all over the city with ease. 10/10 recommend.

Cozy Studio with a Modern/Luxe Feel

JuanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I loved staying here. It's cozy and quiet. It was a comfortable stay. The neighborhood is great, filled with so many great places to eat, watch a game, or anything else that you may need. There's a Citi Bike station, a block over, the subway is about a 15 minute walk. Laura was a great host, answered my questions in a timely manner. I would definitely look forward to staying here again.

Stayed for a night when seeing a concert at UBS Arena. It was a quick drive from the airbnb to the arena which was really convenient. Hosts Joy and Ron were incredibly kind and very easy to communicate with. Accommodations were clean and cozy and there was more than enough space for parking. Definitely would stay again!

Karina’s home was located in a very quiet and pleasant neighborhood. She provided clear directions for access and there were no issues. My family and I enjoyed our stay while visiting and Karina was very kind. She messaged us just to be sure everything was going good and asked if we needed anything during our stay. Her home was very clean, comfortable, and had convenient street parking.

Spacious 1 Bedroom w/parking in Canarsie Brooklyn

You’d be hard pressed to get another Airbnb in NYC which offers all what Morency offers at the price she offers it. She’s also super helpful, proactive, really friendly - even visited us in person - and responds extremely quickly. She’ll give you all the best advice to get around and what you can do. Highly, highly recommend. It truly was like a second home, as the apartment even came with more than what’s promised as it’s stocked up with a lot of consumables and all appliances and utensils you can need to cook in house. I’m not saying to stay here expecting to not do your own groceries, but in the event you’re missing any sauces, seasonings or otherwise, your day might be saved from the selection offered. Even brand new toothbrushes should you have forgotten to bring your own in the haste of travel nowadays. Almost everything was thought of. I can’t praise Morency enough for such an amazing stay.

Laurie’s place was amazing, and so was she! Laurie was extremely responsive to any questions I had regarding our stay. Her place was very conveniently walkable to the train station to NYC. Safe neighborhood with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Laurie‘s place had everything we could need and more. Having two full bathrooms was extremely beneficial for our party of five. We would definitely stay here again!

Your guide to Manhattan

Welcome to Manhattan

The borough of Manhattan is New York City’s beating heart and most densely populated area. Each neighborhood represents a different persona from the theatrical Times Square to the buttoned-up Financial District, and historic Chinatown to artsy TriBeCa. The city has its own adventure map, whether you’re taking an elevated walk along the High Line, spiraling through The Vessel sculpture, or exploring the lakes and lawns of Central Park. The island, which is about 13.4 miles long and 2.3 miles wide (at its widest), is also one of the most navigable, with streets running east to west, avenues going north to south, and Broadway cutting across the island diagonally. The best way to experience New York City is to simply dive right into the Manhattan bustle.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Manhattan

In Manhattan, every season is the best time to be here. Springtime, while sometimes chilly and rainy, ushers in the blooming of flowers all over town and longtime traditions of the NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival. Summer may be hot — and often sticky — but it’s also prime time for outdoor fun, with street fairs and festivities such as the NYC Pride March and the National Puerto Rican Day Parade.

Arts take over the parks with summer concerts and the free performances of Shakespeare in the Park. As crisper weather moves in, so does another magical time: fall in New York. The cozy atmosphere is accompanied by West Village’s Halloween Parade, the African American Day Parade, and the TCS NYC Marathon, which finishes in Central Park. The storybook spirit of the holidays kicks off the winter, anchored by the world-famous New Year’s Eve celebrations in Times Square.

Top things to do in Manhattan

Central Park

There’s a reason this 843-acre greenspace in the middle of Manhattan is such a favorite, with some essential sights — Bethesda Fountain, Belvedere Castle, and the Imagine mosaic at Strawberry Fields. Immerse yourself with the locals, whether it’s running around the reservoir, experiencing the roller discos at Skate Circle, or simply sitting and people watching.

Museums

All of Manhattan might as well double as a museum district. While there are classics —such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art (don’t miss the rooftop deck), the Guggenheim, and the American Museum of Natural History — others such as the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the New Museum grab headlines with their rotating exhibits. Museums without such boldface names also delight, such as The Frick Collection, The Morgan Library and Museum, and the quirky Mmuseumm. But perhaps the most essential to the history of the city is the emotional 9/11 Memorial and Museum.

The Edge

Manhattan has long been known for its skyscraper viewpoints — from the Empire State Building and Top of the Rock to One World Observatory. But newcomer the Edge takes the cake as the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, with a dramatically shaped platform jutting from the edge of the building that contains glass panels giving you a vertical view 100 floors down.
