garden house

VictoriaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Katherine's place is right out of a magazine! It's our favorite location to date. Picture perfect inside and out. The area is very quiet and peaceful and the town is popular and fun. Katherine has also thought of everything that you might ask or need to know. She has notes everywhere. My daughter had fun hunting around for the next message. She even left us a welcome gift and personal note. The kitchen is big and easy to work in with lots of pots and pans. If we had a question, she got right back to us. We were very sad to leave. My daughter said she would give 6 stars if possible. Cannot wait to go back.

No.3 Stradbally Cottages with Sauna!

RuthRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We needed downtime in a comfortable, well-resourced, peaceful, beautifully located cosy cottage. We wanted beaches to walk very close by, opportunities for good food, distractions and making memories. We hoped the host would be close by, friendly (but not too friendly!), responsive, flexible and helpful. And....we got it all, a dream Kerry coastal break. Thank you so much, Garry and Suzanne.

Rest Easkey (walking distance to Atlantic Ocean)

MarkusRating, 5 stars5 days ago
A beautiful holiday cottage in walking distance from some of the best surf you’re going to find on the West Coast of Ireland. Plus an amazing coffee shop/deli right across the street. And the cottage itself is lovely and cozy even or especially when the weather outside doesn’t cooperate.

The Boathouse - Seclusion by the sea

ErinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
One of the best Air Bnb experiences we have had in a long time - Amazing hosts - beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean - cosy rustic rural Ireland vibes with the log fire in the evenings - every detail so carefully thought through to ensure your stay is smooth and comfortable! We were welcomed by delicious homemade bread and jam on arrival and Oat milk in the fridge for tea or breakfast! Location is stunning - beautiful views, quiet and serene close to Skib for great restaurants and cafes wished we could have stayed longer! Hopefully we will visit again in the future!

Maybe the best accommodations in all of Ireland. I’ll never forget it. I’ll also say I understand why Patrick lists it as off the grid, but our family didn’t even notice it. Felt like home. Already scheming a way to get back!

A few days in this heavenly retreat, lots of beauty surrounding you and all homely needs at hand, adorable and peaceful all rolled into one. Spotless clean home from home, beautiful clean fresh comfortable bed, so many places to visit, in the car and you're there in no time. Or just take time out staying at Rathmoylan Cove, the cliff walks are magic. As some eateries are seasonal we cooked at Evelyn's cosy nissen hut, all utensils and facilities are available. Couldn't recommend this place more .... 10 out of 10

We had a delightful stay in Andrea’s cottage. The cottage was beautiful and well cared for. The views from the breakfast table were outstanding. The area to explore around and about was fantastic. We were grateful for Andrea’s welcome and felt that she was available and ready to answer questions. A very happy short break.

Coastal Cottage, Dingle on Wild Atlantic Way

BeckyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This has been an amazing Airbnb for our family trip. The location is beyond magical. The pictures don't do justice and even thought we only had one night at the Airbnb it was worth the money. The only regret we had was that we didn't have enough time to spend at the Airbnb. Wish we had more time to explore the area. But 100% recommend this place to anyone traveling to Ireland.

Granda’s House Charming Renovated 200y/o farmhouse

MariaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This stay was so lovely! Tom and Marie were such great host and the farm was so beautiful. The puppies, Joey and Bruno, were also so sweet! There is so much to do in the surrounding villages (we loved Lahinch specifically) and this made the perfect home base while exploring all of Clare, as well as bits of Kerry and Galway. Could not recommend highly enough!

High Acres Lodge-Adults only

AoifeRating, 5 stars5 days ago
This cabin was the best experience we have had. Such a cosy vibe! Sam was great and very responsive and her Dad David is a lovely man. The cabin was absolutely pristine! The jacuzzi was unbelievable in the night and it was covered over so it was lovely listening to the rain also. The bed was UNBELIEVABLY comfortable! The gardens surrounding the cabin are breathtaking. We got to meet their beautiful dogs, and the birds they were minding lol. We will most definitely be back! This place is a little piece of heaven 🫶

Your guide to Ireland

Welcome to Ireland

For a small island on the fringes of western Europe, Ireland’s culture ripples far beyond its craggy shores. This is the storied home of many of history’s most celebrated poets, rock bands that conquered the charts, and, of course, the foamy stout poured on every continent. And yet despite this ubiquity, Ireland is so often misunderstood. Sure, it has castle ruins and stone cathedrals galore, but it’s anything but stuck in the past. For every beloved old pub and literary landmark in Dublin, you’ll find as many inventive restaurants putting a fresh spin on Irish cuisine and ground-breaking venues where a new generation redefines Irish creative identity.

Outside the capital, each of the Republic of Ireland’s four provinces — Leinster, Munster, Connacht, and Ulster — certainly deliver the pastoral landscapes along with plenty of surprises. The culinary city of Cork claims on-trend bars, food halls, and even a museum dedicated to butter. On the rugged Atlantic coast, the Cliffs of Moher won’t disappoint sightseers, but you can also skip the crowds and chase outdoor adventures in wild national parks such as Ballycroy and Killarney. The longer you spend on this rainy rock, the more you realize how lucky the Irish really are.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Ireland

Ireland is truthfully quite drizzly, especially in winter. But its climate is also mild year-round. In fact, you’re likely to read it in the local news whenever temperatures dip below freezing or exceed 80 degrees Fahrenheit (26 degrees Celsius). Summer brings the most pleasant weather and, of course, the most crowds, making it a more competitive time to book a house for rent. The peak months of July and August are the sunniest, warmest, and driest. It’s the time of year for outdoor festivals, including gatherings dedicated to the republic’s alternative music as well as its active Irish trad folk music scene. Spring and fall are generally quieter and more overcast, with the exception of St. Patrick’s Day in March, celebrated with lively parades across the country.

Top things to do in Ireland

Grafton Street

In Dublin’s city center, it’s easy to lose track of time wandering through the historic sites and museums, but don’t miss the action on the streets. Take a stroll along Grafton Street to visit local shops and the famous buskers known to perform here year-round. This pedestrian-only thoroughfare links St. Stephen’s Green to Trinity College. Its popularity means the street often gets crowded, though skip over a few blocks and you’ll find independent cafes and designer shops in areas like the Creative Quarter, emanating from Drury Street.

Wild Atlantic Way

This is arguably Ireland’s most photogenic road trip. From the cinematic landscapes of the Inishowen Peninsula south to colorful fishing ports in County Cork, the Wild Atlantic Way traces Ireland’s West Coast for 1,500 miles (2,414 km). Along the way, you’ll pass sea cliffs and coves; festive cities like Galway and Limerick; and beaches where cold-water surfers paddle out into the foamy waves. You could tackle it on one grand tour, but you’ll get a truer sense of the local scene when you slow your roll and focus on one segment at a time.

Rock of Cashel

Perched on top of a grassy hill and surrounded by the rolling pastures of the Golden Vale, the Rock of Cashel stands among Ireland’s most dramatic and significant architectural sites. This was once the seat of power for the Kings of Munster. Legends also say this is where Saint Patrick baptized King Aengus in 432 C.E. Come here to see the castle-like cluster of medieval structures, dig into Irish history, or simply admire the sweeping views of County Tipperary.
