Beach house, a short stroll to the beach.

DebbyRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Great family home and a great location- just a quick walk to the beach. The house had everything we needed and we loved the pool and outdoor shower and bath. A nice stroll to great coffee shops was our favourite morning activity followed by time at the beach and a swim in the pool!

We had a wonderful stay at the Boat House. It was perfect for our family of 4. The inside is even better than the beautiful exterior with everything you need including a pizza oven and jacuzzi. 10/10 would recommend, thank you for the lovely stay and for the easy and prompt communication.

Very rarely does a place feel so luxurious but also homely. The setting is out of this world and the house itself is not only beautiful but also incredibly well equipped with lots of thoughtful little touches that made it a perfect stay. Sandra was easy to contact , always helpful and nothing was too much trouble. This is the perfect holiday home

The Beach Club

NinaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
It was a great stay by Hans. The house is located in the secured Beach Club Hout Bay. It is the only property that has a private entrance to the beach and Hout Bay beach is beautiful, has good restaurants and supermarket around the corner. The house is equipped with the most modern appliances, has a new kitchen with everything you need and a good internet connection for work. Beach life and the sound of the ocean were incredibly beautiful and relaxing.

Luxurious 3 Bed Beachfront Haven

NancyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Situated right on the beach with incredible sea views from every bedroom. The main living space is absolutely gorgeous with tasteful decor and everything you need to enjoy your peaceful getaway. A full kitchen with quality cutlery & crockery, pots, pans and dishes. Quality linen on comfortable beds. Spotlessly clean. Check in was easy and all our questions were answered with a smile. The area is peaceful with some great restaurants to visit (you must go to the Weskus Padstaal, and petting zoo). We will be back as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. So sad we could only stay for one night.

Beachfront House in Misty Cliffs

LieslRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
FABULOUSAbsolutely stunning view right on the sand. Ocean loudly crashed right in front. Mist was amazing & romantic. Jacuzzi feels like you’re on the ocean. Two great rooms each with stunning view, automated blinds and full bathrooms. Sand level bedroom also good enough with own patio and steps from the water. Granite tops in kitchen although appliances a bit old. Very responsive Security company 24 hours with alarm. Needs minimal attention and decluttering, but the BEST ocean stay we’ve ever had. Big enough for small family and comfortable lounge and great gas fireplace. Sound system too intricate to understand but was able to stream DSTV on the wifi. The area has signal issues now and again but was able to work & did zoom meetings. Lock up garage nice. No beach stairs though. Host sorted glitches immediately once we were there and surprised us with wine & chocolates in true SA style. You can’t go wrong with this place. We hope to be back soon and often. We’d even consider buying it!

Urban Style House with Jacuzzi & Garage

IlonkaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a wonderful stay in August (winter, 8 days with 2 teenagers). The property is exactly as described and has everything you might need. The neighborhood feels safe and has many excellent restaurants within walking distance. It's a 3 minute walk to the ocean, 10 minute drive to the V&A and downtown, so a great location to explore Cape Town and surrounding areas. Jenny is an excellent host, friendly and quick to respond. Definitely recommend.

We had a lovely breakaway with friends at Luke’s place and felt right at home. We enjoyed the fireplace and there was plenty of wood provided. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need. The garden is huge and if the weather permits you will enjoy spending your time on the stoep outside, have a braai or use the hot tub. Thank you for sharing your home, Luke!

Your guide to Cape Town

All About Cape Town

South Africa’s breathtaking scenery and bustling cosmopolitan energy are perfectly encapsulated in the sprawling city of Cape Town, one the country’s three capitals. From the stunning backdrop of Table Mountain to the panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Cape Town has no shortage of impressive sights to see — not to mention a thriving cultural scene that’s quickly transforming the city into a veritable metropolis.

Whether your perfect day in Cape Town means touring the city’s top wineries or tucking into crayfish hauled directly from the sea to your plate, you are sure to find something to hold your attention. Spend easy days sunbathing on white-sand beaches, go snorkeling at Pyramid Rock, and if you are interested in checking out the local wildlife, head to the Boulders Penguin Colony to see some 3,000 African penguins.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Cape Town

Due to its Mediterranean climate, the city typically enjoys warm, dry summers from December to February and cooler, wetter winters from June through August. Cape Town Pride takes place every year at the end of February and is a celebration of the LGBTQ community. Tweede Nuwe Jaar, or Second New Year, happens every year on January 2 and is one of the longest-held festivals in the city, which sees the capital turn into one big carnival with parades, dancing, and traditional music. It’s a celebration of freedom and hope and continues to educate locals and tourists alike on the area’s history.

Top things to do in Cape Town

Neighbourgoods Market

Neighbourgoods Market, tucked into the trendy Woodstock neighborhood, is a buzzing food market that has quickly become a symbol of the next generation of South Africa’s diverse culture. Wander between stalls, snacking on everything from burgers to vegetarian cakes, before checking out the wares from artisans and local designers that set up shop there too.

Table Mountain Cableway

Named for its flat top, Table Mountain is one of Cape Town’s most iconic destinations. Whether you make your way up by foot or by tram, ascending the 3,562 feet to the top is an essential experience. There are a variety of trails up the mountain that vary in difficulty. But the easiest, fastest, and arguably most scenic way up is via cable car, which will have you soaring high above the rocky valley, with the sea on the horizon as you climb to the peak.

Wander Kalk Bay

This seaside suburb is beloved for its trendy cafe scene, quirky vintage shops, and English-influenced restaurants to grab a bite. You can spend an afternoon strolling along the shore, perusing bric-a-brac and antique treasures behind colorfully-painted facades, and end the evening with tea and fish and chips.
